Avoid Avalon Country club

I was a tenant at Avalon Country Club and experienced racial harassment by the landlord, Mr. Alan Harold, a U.S. citizen living in Costa Rica. He made repeated derogatory comments referencing my skin color and created a hostile living environment. He even claimed his father was a general in the 101st Airborne Division, which appears to be a lie meant to intimidate.

This harassment led to psychological stress, nightmares, and loss of sleep. Despite my status as a 100% service-connected disabled veteran and a former licensed Private Investigator from Texas, I was subjected to discrimination and mistreatment.

I do not recommend Avalon Country Club to other Americans—especially veterans or people of color—due to this disturbing experience.

If you’re considering Avalon Country Club, be aware of the conduct of management and certain residents. Mr Alan Harold is responsible for stealing $1800 from me including the 1st months rent and deposit.
