`I want to share my wonderful experience with the Restart Scheme, thanks to my adviser, Fatimah Nagshband, at the Hackney branch. When I started, I was going through an incredibly difficult time in my personal life. Fatimah was not just a professional adviser; she was a kind, compassionate, and supportive person who made me feel heard and safe. She went above and beyond her duties to provide me with both mental support and practical help when I needed it most.As someone who is very shy, I never expected to find someone so easy to talk to. Fatimah is a true credit to Ingeus and deserves the highest recognition for her dedication and humanity. Thank you for having such an amazing person on your team.`

Dear Ms x, and Mr y
It is with great regret and grave concern that I find myself writing to following my phone conversation with your colleague, X, at PiP Claim Assessment this afternoon at 12:15pm today - contact number 0800 008 3075. I spoke to the DWP PiP claim people yesterday, X Case Worker at Preston office (third call I have had to make since 9th September 2025 when I put my PiP claim in online) and told her that the 8 week PiP Claim Assessment period was now up and could she update on the DECISION? I stressed that I am suffering from a certified long term depression with suicidal thinking etc and that ESA payments are not enough to meet my monthly cost of living expenses and thus I am in now in debt with a company called STOP
BAILIFF trying to negotiate a payment plan based on my PiP award. In addition I am not able to apply for a Blue Badge Parking Disability badge as I need a PiP reference number. Camden Council (Cc’d in on this email eg SafeTracel) has kindly put a Parking Enforcement valid to 9 November 2025 expecting a reference number from PiP for my Blue Badge. X advised I call your company, INGEUS, outsourced PiP Claim Assessment organisation, for an update on where my Claim Assessment is.
I spoke to X at Ingeus who did not have any accurate update information despite my PiP claim being submitted 8 weeks ago!
Below is a screen shot of texts I have received over past 8 weeks:

This is unacceptable. My mental health is worsening with this ridiculous scenario of gross mismanagement. I note that both Employee and Customer reviews of INGEUS are not good!

I received a letter from Ingeus which is factually incorrect and when tried ask for a correct letter stating the facts their is a refusal to change the
legality of the letter.
Ingeus is about blame and shame rather than ownership and expansion.
The staff call the govt peadofilles on tape and are highly motivated to hate but not to help.
Ingeus is an undesirable hindrance to w
As I have stated earlier my son and I are victims of hate crime relating to the national enquiry in child sex abuse with perpretraitors working and manipulating the public sector. Four head teachers are involved as well as many in the public and private sector with symapthy's to child abuse and using phones, whats app group data theft hacking malicious communication i allege and ultimately aim to prove.
Because the NSFT is involved in various wrong doing including I allege HARASSMENT and safeguarding offences including being involved in attempted state kidnap which was investigated over a period of months by the SWC, and because the date of the assessment in the letter and the fact they have arranged the appointment on this date when I had no idea or input or have sent any information into the DWP regards my health.
I will attend the new IICSA which is in a safehouse to keep TEACHERS POLICE COUNCIL HEALTH CHURCH out with further information regards the sex abuse scandal that continues not only blight their life but using 'DEVIOUS' 'CRUEL' methods such as using job roles as a cover in what is essentially already organised crime.
I never contacted Ingeus as I have never claimed PIP despite being entitled.
It is HARASSMENT to contact a patient to HARASS saying that they themselves contacted Ingeus when they did NOT and abuse of DPA maybe malicious communication in which the NHS in Norfolk are heavily involved in concealed phone abuse.
Your agent just cut me off after 25 minutes refused to amend the letter which is legally incorrect like yesterday when the same issues occurred.
I am a former DWP employee and will make them aware of your offences.
This will be screenshot and be taken into the DWP advisory centre as evidence of potential corruption by Ingeus workers motive being phone hate crime, concealed
The IICSA which I spoke at in a safehouse despite head teachers videoing children won't be
something to be tolerated.
Your agents have cut the call and refused to deal with legal letters that constitute harassment.
Two male agents cut the call with no warning after I gave the reasons I wished to have an accurate letter today. I was not rude as the call will show and if it is Ingeus policy to cut calls then the regulator will be advised as is the case in Norfolk County Council Norwich police and other call centres where this has occurred.
This letter will be used in evidence as will the wrong information and the appointment date given and the people in the call centre will have their calls listened to by solicitors working for myself and my son.
DWP CONFIDENTIALITY ABUSE SAFEGUARDING OFFENCES
Just had a call from a 'case manager' classed as harassment.
She demanded that no complaints have been made, their was no apolgiseys about evidenced lies by staff potentially involved in hate crime/ phone crime cutting calls and returning my old phone number on my account excusing them from phoning me to sort out my son's payments they illegally removed. She advised the senior manager would not phone me back as per procedure and likely would know my devices are hacked into.
Apart from all of this she, has written on my notes she tried to call me TWICE ( which she didn't ) and wasn't able to get through.
To assist her i allege to assist those who stalk and harass us each day. If she phoned an old number it would be dead and she wouldn't try twice.
She is attempting to pervert the course of justice and become an accessory to safeguarding crime I allege.
She spoke to me from a recorded line, and I will use it in evidence against but Ingeus and DWP.
I believe and allege they are communicating by phone to assist those that harm.
DWP already peddles paternity tests that don't always work. Look at the Times legal pages.
My son's dad knew this, as his brother worked for DWP CSA served me it and i did it as i had nothing to hide.
Ingeus is an insincere leftover with staff that accuse govt offcials of peadofillia on tape.
It has no goals to enhance the lives of it's clients.
It is a sorry place and hurtful place and it's shortcomings will be picked up and run with by companies that focus on the positives of workers and want expand their talents rather than belittle exceptional workers because their jealous.
I hope the DWP go 4 Ivy or a new org that focusses on the can, the ability, the humour, the personality, the investment rather than the negativity that reeks from ingeus. A can't do org rather than a can do

Worse then horrible, waited over an hour for my first appointment, they kept on saying it would be another 5 minutes, when they did come they didn’t apologise, wouldn’t listen to what you have to say, a lot of the staff had a bad attitude, weren’t helpful, staff would be walking around chatting while people were waiting for there appointments

My experience at Ingeus was extremely positive. The company provides support and help in all areas of job search, from CV improvement, to multiple workshops such as interview preparation and building businesses as a self employed entity. I cannot recommend enough!.
My work coach Mr Preston Cudjoe went and over and above in aiding me with any issues that arose
Much appreciated

Burcu Erbasli, advisor in Ingeus - Restart is very supportive and professional person in helping people to get better jobs. Also Ingeus staff are very understanding and friendly if you follow the rules and instructions. I enjoy working with my advisor.

Absolutely disgusting - they lied completely about my PIP application despite having a long term disability from birth! Ignored all medical evidence and did not even check it. She had the audacity to twist all the answers and change them to what I didn't say. It is clearly rigging and bonuses going on to make sure people are not awarded.

Absolutely disgusted by the so called health professional that I had during my phone assessment, how the hell they can tell how a condition affects someone over the phone! Is mind blowing, The so called health professional had no idea! I have osteoarthritis, which is getting worse, I also suffer with migraines but they didn’t take a blind bit of notice.. I’ve raised an MR but I’m going after these idiots! They should not have a contract with the dwp to assess people over the phone!! Disgusting company who obviously has a set limit of how many people to award pip too

Several years ago I quit the PIP process due to the dishonesty of the 3rd party contractor that handles claims. I was paid off not to make a fuss. Meanwhile my health deteriorated drastically and I had no choice but to try again.
I was awarded pip in the highest band, no thanks to ingeus, but thanks only to the professionalism of the DWP agent handling my claim.
For ingeus to have staff introduce themselves as a "healthcare professional" when they lack basic literacy and have no healthcare expertise I could discern is so utterly C.R.I.N.G.E.
Even a very common disease was mispronounced....repeatedly, even after I corrected the "healthcare professional."
The assessor struggled to read anything more complex than Janet and John-level phrases.
Ingeus failed to communicate in a legible format, then lied and said DWP had not told them to. I spoke to dwp who confirmed there had been a large print marker on my file from the outset.
I can't say too much more for fear of doxxing myself, but ingeus lacks credibility.
The "healthcare professional" was inarticulate with a poor speaking manner and when I asked her to repeat what she'd said, she thought speaking louder (rather than more clearly) was the answer.
I'm willing to bet 1000 bucks she has no healthcare qualifications whatsoever.
My heart sank as soon as she uttered her first line of speech and I thought " g0d help us, she's incompetent ".
I'm so grateful I struck gold with my DWP case handler as I know he is the ONLY reason my claim succeeded.
I'm not sure whether they're a newish contractor, or just the same old disgraced one with a new name. Is it that hard for DWP to find a competent service provider?
Edit/update: I did make a formal complaint and was offered a paltry 50 bucks. The letter I needed to take to the post office to claim the princely sum was written in illegible small print. Well part of my complaint was about their unlawful disability discrimination ie writing in an illegible format. You literally can't make this up. So I complained again and after a month got a response saying not their problem as they outsourced the letter to a contractor. Utterly disgraceful. Equality is not and never will be embedded as a value in this vile corpse-oration that despises people with disabilities.

Update (August 2025):
Months have gone by since I first raised these issues, and despite being promised several times by the highest members of Ingeus management — including their CEO — that I would be funded and enrolled on specific training (CeMAP) to restart my career, nothing has been delivered. It has been endless delays, excuses, and broken promises. The pattern is clear: they tell you what you want to hear, but they never follow through.
I’ve been part of the Ingeus Restart Scheme in Hammersmith for over six months, and it has been incredibly frustrating. I raised a formal complaint due to serious concerns about how I was treated and the complete lack of meaningful support. Despite that, I continue receiving no practical support, only empty reassurance, as though nothing has happened.
This shows a clear disregard for what I’ve reported and how I feel. One of the adviser, who self-proclaims himself as a wizard recruiter, never gave me an action plan, despite promising that so many times. Another adviser, who was supposed to be a top expert in self-employment, during our one-to-one session, all he did was talking about how God gave us gifts, and we must explore these to make a career.
I joined Restart expecting practical guidance and career planning - I even suggested a clear direction myself - but I received no answers, no concrete help, no tailored support, and no action plan. Just vague promises, empty reassurances, and copy-paste messages.
This experience has left me feeling disillusioned and let down. I’ve lost time, energy, and trust in a programme that claims to help people move forward.
All I have seen from Ingeus is superficial engagement and no tangible outcomes.
I hope Ingeus take this feedback seriously - because people deserve better than this.

I am wondering whether @Blair on here might be able to get in touch with me. I have started a group called PIP and the assessors on Facebook. I am currently pursuing a Maladministration complaint against Ingeous which is now with the ICE, as they say “yes this was wrong but the member of staff no longer works for us, so we can’t do anything”! It is really wrong that this is happening and they are a fairly new contract for DWP. We need to collect as much evidence as possible and support each other. I should not have been sat in Chemotherapy weekly having to highlight and evidence the SIXTY FOUR! Mistakes in my assessment! (And that does not include the appalling grammar and spelling especially when there are checkers that can do it for you.

Hello,
My honest view on the restart scheme for the last twelve months, I finished this Jan 2025, is that they really need to take a bigger picture and look into the advisors knowledge and experience and train them to a correct customer-level standard and perhaps train them to know about the benefits system and learn about mental health and basic advice.
Sending people to a Job isn't just a Job, and teach your advisor to build core friendly relationships, make a good rapport report and build trust with your key clients by hiring good, empathetic, caring and good-hearted advisors to make the scheme a positive outlook; no advisor shows any of this most advisors are very toxic people.
Here is my story from Jan 2024 to Jan 2025, a shocking experience.
My first advisor was just an ex-sales advisor from EE; I found this out on LinkedIn. She clearly was using her restart customers like a key performance target.
I noticed this from the get-go in the first five days of the scheme. I was forced into work without public transport, with her threatening me to comply with her demands with sanctions. Not a good start to the restart scheme already created a fiction between your customers without any public transport so she could hit her key performance target. A job isn't just a job; you have to take things into account, like the person's travel agreements and mental health and all sorts of other things. She didn't even bother to talk to me or build a relationship; she comes across as on the sly, trying to avoid answering emails and text messages in detail, mostly giving one-word answers. I asked about a job; she doesn't even provide me the basics, like location and start time. I had to send about five text messages to her just to get her to open up. I complained and asked for a new advisor; this one doesn't care about the job her job is to help people.
The second advisor was much better and very inexperienced; her work experience was as a holiday rep. I was better treated, but this one seems very new to the job; she asked me how to operate Google Maps and needed answers about PIP. The advisor literally used Google for answers. This advisor didn't even know the AET is for universal credit. Seriously, the contract is provided by the DWP to Ingeus; the advisors they hired only seem to have only sales experience backgrounds. She left her role after two months due to the pressure, which was making her upset.
The third and last advisor had a Financial background all about making money no people skills or communication skills had the attitude I don't care.
I had was just plain rude and spoke down to me, condescendingly bullying me for 4 months– the worst personality you can have dealing with the public. She threatened me with 12 months of ongoing sanctions if I didn't find employment before I left the restart scheme. Many times I found myself unable to voice my opinion. She also said that during my face-to-face appointment. I have 15 years of work experience; looking at your CV, you only have 10 years of experience, so I'm better than you. very judgemental attitude, even judging me about my personal items, saying how I should spend my money on being on benefits. You shouldn't be purchasing that smartphone or those new trainers. What has this got to do with my advisor? Even applying for work, for example, I was applying for a bank advisor role. This advisor told me, Don't apply; go for a cleaner role from the restart jobs board. I'm gobsmacked at this advisor's actions I literally avoided speaking to this bully advisor for 4 months.
My outtake on this scheme is that leaving the scheme on the last day, never stepping foot into the restart office ever again, was the best day of my life I felt so happy. Your advisors have damaged my mental health, created more barriers, knocked my confidence levels 10 years backwards and created more anxiety in my life. Your scheme claims to offer everyone tailored support for 12 months. I have yet to see this happen. Since finishing this scheme for almost four months, I've been doing my own things, getting back into work and studying college without any advisor holding me back or bringing me down to tears.

The hardest part in any journey is accepting that you need help and where to source that help. The combined approach of Talking Therapy and Employment Support compliemented and dovetailed the complete experience. Professional, knowledgeable and approachable advisors who tailor the support and resources to meet individual needs is the biggest unique selling point in a recovery journey. Do not underestimate the time, patience and LISTENING that takes place to deliver a fantastic service. I was unsure about what to expect, this is a service I would highly recommend and certainly had a huge imapact in my recovery. If its offered - take the opportunity!!!!!!
