The London Wembley Office has been a complete waste of time and effort. I was offered one solitary advice from one meeting in almost 9 months, the rest of my meetings were based on meeting and signing for an agreement to work, which became routine. The job centre offers a better, more professional experience, do what they will say they will do and deliver to their appointments. Ingeus are a byword for Tory government spending that bureaucratically portrayed that their programs were making a difference but in fact offer very little value to people that need to get back into work. It's a waste of taxpayers' money. I hardly receive c/bs, the consultants are disengaged and funding to job seekers to aid transitioning into work is non-existent. Good luck to anyone dealing with this clown show!

I would like to thank you my caseworker Kim Buckley from Ingeus. Supporting people back to the employment that’s what they do best at Ingeus. I am very grateful that I was offered this program and received so much help.

Complete waste of time. Everything ive done ive done myself with 0 help. Restart have provided help with cost of travel but that is something the UC also provide anyway. Every appointment seems pointless and like they are going through the motions. Having to go back to writing job searches on bits of paper is highly annoying. This will be because their website is totally unfit for purpose. No jobs on there. No way to record your jobsearch on there. Cant get hold of anyone on there. They only thing they seem to be good at is gossiping, Decorating the office for every holiday and buying biscuits. I dont blame my last adviser for getting out of there.

In 2024 my disability benefit was assessed by a Healthcare Professional from Ingeus 'Health Assessment Advisory Service'.
I approached the assessment trying to ignore awful PIP assessment experiences posted on social media, believing the majority of professionals would be fair and thorough.
Unfortunately I was was unlucky.....
The Healthcare Professional completing my assessment used a polite façade to disguise complete disinterest and disrespect for my review.
Their medical knowledge was basic, with very poor understanding of mental health conditions.
Mostly the assessment focussed on questions irrelevant to my difficulties. When I spoke in more detail on my condition, there was no pause indicting notes were made.
They misheard frequently, and despite my corrections, the final report still mis-stated and omitted much of what I had said.. It basically just retained recommendations from my original PIP assessment.
I wanted to post this review to urge others to HAVE PIP ASSESSMENTS RECORDED.
Evidencing the assessment will ensure all Health Professionals are accountable for the assessment advise they provide.
DWP pay Ingeus significant money for this Service. I would like to see Ingeus ensure all Assessors are trained where needed and supported to provide a fair, medically informed service with consistently reliable reports.
The impact of poor reports for those that depend and are legally entitled to PIP is both damaging and immoral.

Thank you for the polite reply from Ingeus. However I had already communicated my concerns in this way.
The response indicated little interest in the concerns raised in the investigation of the consultation.
The response from the Health Professional couldn't remember my consultation so felt unable to comment. The team lead was more interested in defending the employee than identifying learning and improving processes.
This was disappointing, giving the feeling that the complaints process is a tick box exercise.

Utterly unprofessional, typical government funded, privately run company.

I have basically scored my own goal, the biggest mistake in my life.
I asked my work coach to make a referral to the restart scheme at the Ingeus Manchester branch to improve my skills and career.
I was greeted by the 1st impression with the receptionist and advisor, not a good start at all. I was asked by the receptionist in a rude tone of voice, Name, sit down, which sounded very unfriendly and cold—not a good way to treat a new customer to the scheme already feeling very unwelcome from the get-go felt unwanted.
The next step, meeting the advisor after waiting five minutes, was even rude, and she didn't even bother to engage in making any direct eye contact; she kept on talking to her colleague sitting next to her about what their plans for this Friday night out and the dress code in these schemes for these advisors were. So unprofessional in a workplace environment, low-cut tops seriously should be professionally dressed in an office. The conversation with this advisor was dead each time.
I told her I have a driving license and ten years of care work experience and five years of bank advisor.
She started clapping her hands, sarcasm attitude utterly disgusting vile behaviour. I couldn't believe my eyes she is dealing with vulnerable people. She didn't even bother to build a rapport report and see what skills and engage in an adult-like person next; this rude advisor showed me some jobs vacancies and spoke to me in a very condescending child like manner with words like, We have work here. We want you to apply for this; it could be your own way to afford nice things in life.
This is how Ingeus hires and trains their advisors to engage with their customers and teach them to be rude, abusive and bullies kick them while they are down, and make them more depressed.
Please, anyone sent to the restart scheme or asked for a referral, please avoid them; they are rude to anyone that is unemployed. This is unacceptable.
They can cause great harm to any job seekers.
All types of people come to schemes like this, people with mental health issues, with all sorts of problems; your advisors should be helping people to overcome barriers back to employment and act professional at all times, speak to each claimant with care and respect, and listen to their needs and requirements make them welcome.
The advisors on this scheme, supposed to help their customers, are being abusers themselves and nasty bullies. This method, doesn't get anyone engaged with the program, making people avoid seeing their advisor or even bothered turning up.
It's all down to these bad advisors letting this restart scheme down, giving this scheme a really bad name. Maybe they start looking at what staff they have hired for this scheme and make a massive change, either sack or retrain, or even rehire more experienced advisors that have a duty of care, heart and empathy towards dealing with your customers, including communication skills and improving the customer service experience, including people skills.
Maybe the advisor.I have is just a bad apple with a terrible personality disorder and attitude or she has no skills result into bullying people to comply with her demands in 2024, no one should be treated like this; everyone should be treated with respect and dignity. I will be making a complaint to ingeus next week.
One day this scheme is going to push someone over the edge after the first appointment I felt very uneasy,
A government-funded tax payer funded scheme is a disgrace to be offering a service to the general public.

I had such high hopes for this place I liked to call the name of Restart. I really felt like my life would turn around, what with the way the dream was sold to me from the jobcentre I attend in Wood Green. It was actually everything someone who had just finished a stint with them said it would be.. Crap and a waste of time.
Mental Health issues is something I was made to feel comfortable with expressing, I was given an appointment over the phone and I was chastised and told that "I need to know what I want" this is one of many examples.
Misleading is what I would say with regards to some of the things said in the booklet, "tailored to suit your individual needs" ..they couldn't seem to get it right, even with my CV right in front of them! this is one of many examples.
Dishonest. The amount of times I was told "Just leave it with me, I'll sort your CV out" way too many jobs slipped away from me. I was initially told to do it and had no problems with that but if your going to do something especially of that magnitude, at least uphold your end. this is one of many examples
Disingenuous I had been moved around so much times I really thought I knew everyone! They all ACT so nice and helpful but you leave there with no job. Its as if your some type of Mascot for the others who you might happen to see in group interviews if you spontaneously decided to show up to rove how keen you are.
Exacerbating the amount of times I've gone up to the person I've been booked to see with a job advert from off their wall??
they are L i t e r a l l y taking the piss out of peoples lives and its alright because they're going on holiday next week or going to a concert to see their favourite artist, Married, Spa/facials etc while I'm struggling immensely but smiling and pretending for them every time they call me to come in. The only good thing about it was the opportunity for some fresh air.
How about installing software on those 2nd hand laptops tailored to the individual, so they can brush up on their skills?
And hiring people who actually are compassionate towards the less fortunate, mixing personal life with work especially in this field can definitely be condescending towards your clients ..you would know that if you actually GAF ..cheers

ABSOLUTELY IGNORANT, ARROGANT & CLASSIST STAFF WHO ARE VERBALLY ABUSIVE.
I am horrified!! I am facing financial hardship and serious discrimination while trying to find to work again after the pandemic almost destroyed my lie completely. But, at Ingeus this is a reason to yell at you, patronise you, and try and make you feel like a child when you are 50 years old and hold multiple degrees! It is not for lack of trying that I am jobless after 20 years in the UK. I have even completed three additional qualifications DURING the pandemic! Yet, they want to force to me to attend a silly training 'to learn why employment is good for your mental health'!
(Ealing council area, Uxbridge Rd., two mins walk from the Job centre).
Jenna and her senior staff Sheldon made it to the top 5 most horrendous persons I have ever dealt with in relation to implicitly racist and overtly patronising and classist attitude in a govt related establishment I have ever witnessed. Absolutely unacceptable.
They are only second to a staff at Job centre plus, about whom I made a complaint too some time ago. I am shocked that these monsters receive government funds! They employ staff who have 1/3 of my experience and not even 1/2 of the titles I hold.
Horrified and determined to fight back.
Truthfully, Miss Tau

It looks like they are getting billions of pounds of government funding by pushing the lazy unemployed people a little bit.
I don't think they really have much credit for the success report they show to the government to get funding.
Has anyone got any genuine help from Ingeus?

Totally unprofessional
During the initial Phone call person talked over all the time, would not listen showing a complete disregard of understanding and phone manners.
Secondly on the initial one to one meeting the manager came over and interjected themselves into the meeting without asking permission any introduction totally unprofessional,
Then to compound their incompetence, I showed ID as required and was informed it was not acceptable when pressed on the manner when away and checked only to confirm it was the wright and acceptable ID.
Also manager kept saying customer refuse to sign document after being told numerous i had to read it first before signings anything. Felt pressurised to do as your told:
Finally after correcting them "saying to read it first and not signing where not the same thing" and the tell them I felt hijacked I was given time to read it.
Was made to feel like a commodity so the company could get its payday.

Worked with this company, who are institutionally racist, their work environment in the Manchester office is very toxic and thrives off nepotism. That results in high staff turnover, lack of Black leadership within their own organisation and the supply chain, that they fight to up hold. A truly vile leadership team that is not even from our local communities

I used the employment support service alongside my mental health therapy years ago, and it made a huge impact on my life. I don't think I realised at the time how much, but I had reason to look back and reflect recently and realised how much my advisor really helped me to change my life.
They listened, guided, and ultimately gave me the support to make the big scary decisions that I needed to. They helped me understand my strengths and my interests, and what jobs I could combine them in. They guided me with the steps to get out of a career that made me unwell, and into a job/company that I genuinely love, pays what I need, and that I've now been at for 4 years!
I'm extremely grateful - my happiness and mental health is largely thanks to a happier job (with purpose, and that fits me) and that's thanks to my Ingeus advisor. Thank you!

My first initial phone call was late, I called to find out what was happening to be told someone would call me back which they did. So they could tell me someone would call me in the week to book a time for registration.
I waited over 4 weeks for the call, the person wanted to complete registration thst moment I was not able to do so as I needed to pick up my child. A second call was arranged, at the time I had arranged a job interview, so I had to cancel.
I then received a call around 5pm to be told there was a time frame for my case to be closed as registration had not happened. We arranged another telephone registration I rearranged plans to be available for this, just to be told my case had been closed and I would have to go back to the job centre for another referral. Who would bother with such a company of this is how they conduct themselves.
What is very annoying is the focus being not on them taking 4 weeks to get back ti me, but because I am proactive and booked myself an interview and so they tried but oh well
Very disappointing.
