Just get your stuff, instacart is useless.

I don't know how Instacart is this popular. The website seems like it was designed by a child. The drivers are always late. I have ice cream and it is usually ruined. The website design seems to be intentionally irritating. I get that the shopper started shopping, but the website tells me I can add to the order, meanwhile not allowing me to. Just a horrible experience.

Weird experience

Weird experience. Usually when you get your items delivered, the delivery person follow instructions. My instructions are always to leave my items by the door. They snap a photo then leave. Today, the delivery driver was banging on the door and told me she couldn't give me my items unless, I tell her my name? Hmm weird.

I’ve decided to delete my account after…

I’ve decided to delete my account after this experience. Time delays are one of my biggest frustrations, and this order was already four hours late before a shopper even began. Shopping started at 9:40 PM when the store was closing at 10 PM, which made it impossible to complete the order properly. As a result, more than half of my items were removed due to lack of time.

To make matters worse, the resolution offered was a $5 discount. For a company of this size, that feels dismissive and out of touch with the inconvenience caused—not to mention unfair to the shopper who was put in an impossible situation.

It’s also incredibly frustrating that there’s no meaningful way to speak with someone about issues like this. The lack of accessible customer support only adds to the overall negative experience.

Unfortunately, this experience has completely eroded my trust and will never use it again

Driver complaint

First things I would put a -1,000,000 if I could but they get one star I’m not a customer of Instacart and never will be, but I was verbally attacked including foul language by one of the Instacart drivers I was walking in my driveway of the community, which does not have a sidewalk. The driver passed by. I looked at the car innocently driver pulled over and yelled out his windows. What are you looking at B..ch? Get out of the effing road mind you in the driveway at that point I told him come here. Talk it out bring it on. But I tried to file a complaint and since I’m not a customer, they’re not taking any of my information to file a complaint driver’s name was Eric in a black Honda in San Pedro, CA with a paper license plate so car is still new.
They want me to have the delivery,
recipient to file a complaint (stupid), but the recipient of delivery didn’t get verbally attacked by the Instacart driver. What if this happened on a public street? They don’t care and they will never care unless they change their ways. So if you don’t have an account, you’re out of luck. This is why Instacart has very bad customer reviews and I will never use them.

The shoppers I have been getting are wearing pajamas and slippers and hair cap , got there bae bae kids in the car that’s a clunker car by the way, weed smell coming out the car , babies in there crying while they delivering , pathetic rude shoppers , no wonder why our suburb cities seem like Detroit now

BEWARE-FRAUD SCAM & SHOPPERS DONT CARE

3 weeks, 3 orders, 1 from Costco went okay, 2 from Aldi's disasters. Wrong or missing items, rotten produce, broken eggs, Decided to cancel 2nd week of membership. Online chat kept transferring me to a different team for 5 different transfers. Had charged my credit card for an annual membership without my authorization. Nasty, nasty online chat people refusing for various reasons to cancel and refund my money.

Scam

I had a very disappointing experience with Instacart recently. I placed an order from Walmart three days ago, and the assigned shopper never completed the delivery. I had clearly messaged the shopper in advance, asking them to ring the doorbell upon arrival. However, without showing up or attempting delivery, the shopper suddenly canceled the order.
I reached out to customer service via email immediately, but received no response. After waiting and getting increasingly frustrated, I decided to call customer support. Unfortunately, that experience was just as unhelpful. I was asked whether I had been at the door—which made no sense, as the shopper never even arrived. I had also tried contacting the shopper directly during the process, but received no reply.
To make matters worse, I was charged a $15 cancellation fee despite the situation being completely out of my control. Even after explaining everything, the company has refused to refund this charge.
Overall, this experience felt extremely unfair and poorly handled. The lack of communication, accountability, and customer support is unacceptable. It honestly feels like a complete scam.

I purchase on instacart with a store…

I purchase on instacart with a store name Tony's and I found a sale for skirt steak for $2.99lb I was so super excited about it. But when the driver went to pick it up they took a picture of the meat but said I would have to pay more. It's not like the meat wasn't in stock so why couldn't instacart honor it if it was a mistake from there end. Because of this I won't be shopping on there anymore. I purchased the same sale several times and gotten the meat but now this time they denied it. Poor customer service...

Don't get too ill to run an errand - or you WILL pay double

I live alone, was too sick to go out and get others sick with whatever respiratory issue I was dealing with, and ordered some staples after being out of town for 10 days. Delivery and driver were fine. It was a 6-item order. The items seemed expensive as I was adding to cart, but thought it was just bad memory. After my "no delivery fee" order arrived, my bill was $104 including an insufficient tip. (You apply 3 fees that aren't "delivery" fees, then your driver loses out - sorry, but that's the way the cookie crumbles.) After thinking about this most of the evening and this morning, I logged into Vons and checked the prices of those items. I was MASSIVELY upcharged for EVERY item I bought. What should have cost me about $70 cost me over $103. NEVER USING INSTACART AGAIN. EVER. YOU CAN KEEP GOUGING OTHERS. I'M DONE WITH YOU. GREEDY B*S.

Horrible

Horrible, impossible to contact human help.

Instacart has confirmed orders that they did not deliver to me when promised... more than once! They leave you waiting all night only to say they have reschedule the order for tomorrow once the store is closed. More than once this has happened! Instacart does not honour their commitments and could care less that they greatly inconvenience their customers.

Don't offer the service if you can't provide it! Awful.

Absolutely terrible No accountability wrong items missing items no refunds no replies no real customer service. Basically if you want to get robbed blind by a company that doesn't even understand what a business model that thrives looks like go ahead. Shameful at best

Pizzas arrived cold and bottoms…

Pizzas arrived cold and bottoms completely burned. Called the vendor and was told that I would have to go get a replacement or get a refund mailed to me. Drove an hour round trip to replace dinner. I had taken photos of the bottoms of the pizzas. Instacart required that I pull these out of the trash for photos of the top then wanted tops and bottoms in same photo. I finally had enough and gave uo. Got one pizza of the 3 refunded and that is all. Ridiculous. Definitely wont use them for a restaurant delivery again. This is the second meal that was cold and done wrong. They are worthless.

I ordered a jumper cable from Walmart it doesn't work so I called Instacart the person who answered she said you can't get a refund from us. So I said can't I Take it back to Walmart myself she said no you can't you can't get a refund nor a exchange. Well now I'm pissed by the way she spoke barely could understand her. But I will never use there service ever again. Don't use this Service.

Instacart refused to give a credit for an item.

My shopper chose a replacement item for an item not in stock at Costco. I texted her that I didn't want the replacement but she had already checked out by the time she saw the text. She went back in the store and returned the item, received a receipt for the amount. I never got the refund on my credit card. Customer service advised that I had to report the issue with 3 days and they were sorry but they couldn't credit the refund, even though I sent them a copy of the refund receipt. They STOLE $39.51 from me. I will NEVER use them again and I will tell everyone I know about the experience.

I see now that Instacart has a 1 star…

I see now that Instacart has a 1 star rating. No wonder as it is ran overseas!! I placed an order today, fortunately I received the Kroger receipt this time. I noticed 2 items that I know I did NOT order or RECEIVE! I called Instacart and they said I was not charged as it wasn’t on my order. I told the idiots that I am looking at my actual receipt of the charges. I was then connected to a “supervisor” whom said the same thing, that I was not charged. I sent a copy of my actual receipt to the email they requested I send to. I had to send it twice as she states she never received the email. I call bullshit on this!! So, I had to close my Venmo account which is how I purchase groceries and it is connected to my bank. PLEASE STOP USING INSTACART. This is not the 1st time I have been ripped off. PLUS, they don’t care.

This service is awful

This service is awful. This shoppers are incompetent the customer service thinks they can solve everything with a refund instead of improve the service. There is no real person to help. chat constantly disconnects, which I think it’s them disconnecting because they are too lazy to help. Do us a favor and just close up shop. You’re worthless as a business causing aggravation and headache.
