Threatened to sue me for leaving a bad review

Booked an intensive course back in November with theory test included , they did quickly book a theory test for a few weeks later that’s got them a one star for that hard work 😓 . I then passed my theory and heard nothing at all from them regarding organising a date or an instructor for my course . I booked a practical test in January and only then I got an email asking for a reference number which made no sense as why would I give them a reference number when they have done nothing for me at this stage in terms of organising .

I didn’t receive single call or text message they did prove they sent an email from December as didn’t see that email at the time but again this email only asked for a reference number not organising any actual service .

I got a few emails telling me that I wouldn’t be refunded because they did email me asking for a reference (how great of them ) and why would they chase me one email should be enough , awful customer service , awful organisation oh and they threatened to sue me for leaving a bad review , clown .

Don’t bother using these they couldn’t organise a sock drawer .

Thank you for your feedback. We would like to address your concerns and clarify how our process works. The reason we requested your test reference number was because a person can only have one practical test booked at a time. Since you had already booked a test independently without informing us, we were unaware of the date and could not proceed with scheduling your course or booking a test on your behalf.

Our process is designed to schedule lessons leading up to your test date, which we could not organize without knowing when your test was. Additionally, as you mentioned, we did email you in December asking for the reference number, but it appears you did not see it at the time. While we understand this may have caused frustration, it is not accurate to say we did not attempt to reach out or organize your course — the delay stemmed from not receiving the information we requested.

We always strive to provide excellent service, but we also rely on customers to communicate key details to help us do so effectively. While we regret that your experience was not what you expected, we kindly suggest that this misunderstanding was not entirely due to our process.

Quick and easy to organise

Quick service with good communication

Very quick service with regular updates made it an easy process to get started with my intensive course with the test booked quickly too. Special thanks to my instructor Paulo who made me feel confident and comfortable from the first lesson

Intensive Lessons to the Rescue

Was really struggling to get an Instructor to take me to my booked test, despite it being only a few weeks away Intensive Lessons sourced me a fantastic Instructor that really put me through my paces and gave me the confidence to finally succeed and pass my test. I cannot thank them enough

I would avoid unless you want to be let…

I would avoid unless you want to be let down last minute! Test booked with 15 hours of lessons and last minute told can only provide 8 hours despite it being booked for ages. Terrible customer service suggesting fraud will be committed by me and they will cancel tests unless they receive a response within an hour. Absolutely appalling company and customer service avoid avoid avoid.

Derek was a fab instructor. I’ve had lessons with other instructors, but couldn’t seem to get my head around driving . Five hours with him and it just clicked. Thanks derek your brilliant

Changed review so I don't get sued

Since I wrote my last review while angry, I thought to take it down and rewrite it. (Save me from getting sued for defamation. Which they threatened me after my "unfair and untrue" review. Which outlined my experience, and my OPINION, not fact.)
I paid for a £400 something (I forget the full amount) 5 hour intensive course, including test at the end. Had I have known the difficulty Intensive Lessons would have finding an instructor in my area for a test in Nov that they found, I would not have booked. I understand that I live in a small village, but I personally know multiple instructors, two in the village I live, yet I booked with IL in hopes that I could get my test passed quickly. Had I have known the admin fee (Which was quite a fair way down the Terms page on mobile) on top of the non-refundable deposit, AND if I wanted to keep the test it would've been an extra £143, for a test that costs £62, I definitely wouldn't have booked with them. I wanted to get my test and lessons booked and organised all in one swoop. I FEEL like they didn't do much to keep me informed on my test dates. I had a test booked for 21st Nov through IL, no instructors available, so they changed it to March 2025, without informing me, or informing me that I could keep the Nov test date and find my own instructor, which they do offer. But they didn't inform me of this, to my knowledge. (I have checked my emails, and have had no correspondence from them regarding keeping my test or the latest test change.)
I FEEL like they took my money (£210 - £175 non refundable deposit and £35 admin fee) and did nothing for me. I don't know what they were doing behind the scenes, so I can't say for a fact that they were doing nothing, but I FELT very unhelped. I hope if you use IL you have a good experience, and you can get your test passed with instructors of theirs.
(This is purely my OPINION, and HOW I FELT during the process of using the company, this is not everyone's experience, just my own.)

I highly recommend Intensive Lessons…

I highly recommend the Intensive Lessons company because David, my instructor trained me easily on how to drive safely with techniques, skills and knowledge of all aspects of driving on different roads so I have passed my driving practical exam for the very first time.

Driving instructor set me up for success!

I’ve had the best possible experience with my driving instructor Marcia Connell! She was very patient, supportive and encouraging which only set me up for success! I was very nervous about it all but with the addition of her great sense of humour I never had a dull lesson! (Which is a bonus). I could not recommend Marcia enough! She gave me a lot of confidence to drive independently meaning I avoided the ‘new driver’ anxiety which I’ll be eternally grateful for!
Organisation around my lessons, information about the test, explanation in regards to manoeuvres were all amazing and only helped me progress.

Don’t waste your money!

Don’t waste your money!! They lie about finding you a test. They do not contact their customers so you are always chasing after them just for them to tell you even more lies! They never find you a test on the month that they say that they would on the website. PLEASE DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY!!! There’s better websites out there.
