I have ordered from In the Book many times and have always been really pleased. I recently ordered another book but it came without a gift box which I didn’t realise at the time that you had to purchase on top as previously the gift box was always included free of charge. When I received the book and realised, I emailed the customer service team and they informed me that I couldn’t even buy the gift box separately now as I had already made the order. The lady that I dealt with, was quite frankly really rude and unhelpful and it has put me off purchasing anything else in the future.

When placing the order, we do make it as clear as possible, which shows that the gift boxes are chargeable and do need to be requested at the time of ordering. We do apologise if you had missed this information.
We can see that you had spoken with a Customer Service Representative and unfortunately we do not offer gift boxes as a lone product. This is because our ordering system does not allow it, therefore unfortunately the Representative was not able to assist on this occasion.
