This has been my second trip with intro. The group leaders I have had this far were amazing and really elevated the whole experience. Highly recommend booking either the Thai Experience or Bali Experience trip. TK (group leader for thailand) and V (group leader for Indonesia) were my 2 group leaders I got on those trip, TK for the thailand trip and V for the bali trip. Both have been amazing and make the trip really a whole lot more fun.

I've just finished the 21 day Vietnam & Cambodia tour and absolutely loved it. It wasn't perfect and there's a few areas I think could be improved, but nothing major.

First of all a huge reason Vietnam was so good was because of our group leader Malin. Absolute hero. It was so obvious from the start that she genuinely cares about the job and wants to make sure everyone is having a good time. She was incredibly professional when it came to making sure we had all the info we needed for the day's activities and the next 24hrs, super knowledgeable about local recommendations, and went out of her way to make sure everyone was happy. Also Day 2 of the trip was my birthday, which I wasn't gonna make a big deal out of, but during dinner that evening she'd arranged to have a cake brought out at the restaurant and had everyone sing Happy Birthday, and she actually did the same for someone else's birthday a few days later. Very sweet and thoughtful and meant a lot. At the end of the Vietnam part of the tour everyone was gutted to have to say goodbye. Professionally and personally we all loved her.

Unfortunately our leader for Cambodia wasn't so great. He was quite flaky with details and disappeared a lot of the time, but I don't wanna be too harsh as he was clearly burnt out and going through some personal issues, and we're all human. Shout out to Sel, who was training for Cambodia tours, definitely a huge help.

In terms of activities, itinerary, accommodation etc, I was happy with pretty much everything. Accommodation (with the exception of the Halong Bay boat and overnight trains/buses) was always a hotel, apart from Siem Reap which was a hostel, but we still had rooms of 2, which were actually nicer than some of the other places we'd stayed. One thing worth mentioning is the hotel in Hoi An could be looked at. A lot of people in our group mentioned the AC messing up their throat, and one guy said he could smell damp in his room. Chances are there's plenty of other possibilities in the area for the same price.

The first week in particular was amazing. The combo of Hanoi, Halong Bay, Ninh Binh and Hoi An was perfect, it felt like everything kept getting better and better. The homestay in Ninh Binh was beautiful and the family absolutely lovely. If there was a way to change that to 2 nights I don't think anyone would complain.

The only downsides I can think of are the last day on the island in Cambodia. We had to check out of our accommodation by 11am but didn't leave until almost 5pm. There's not much to do there so you end up just sitting around waiting to leave. I'm sure a later check out would be possible.

Also I think Intro should definitely pick a different time for the leaders to get people to fill out the survey. Dinner on the last night just isn't the right time. It gets sprung on you while you're waiting to leave, and everyone just wants to hurry up and get to the next venue and enjoy the final night with each other. I knew there were comments I wanted to make about certain things that could be better, but in the heat of the moment you either forget or can't be bothered and just fill it out as quickly as possible just to get it done. Made me feel bad for the leaders. It could easily be brought up earlier in the day so people have time between the last activity and dinner, that way people at least have time to fill it out properly and not feel rushed.

Another small thing I think needs to change is the description of the length of the tour. It was 20 days, not 21. When the only thing planned for the last day is leaving, that doesn't count as a day. "Get up and go home" isnt an activity. I'm not saying add something to do on the last day, and I'm still more than happy with the price, I just think calling a tour 21 days when it's clearly 20 is a bit cheeky.

Anyway, this was my first ever group tour and I'm annoyed I didn't find something like this earlier. I thought doing a group tour was a pretty big gamble but it paid off and I'd definitely recommend Intro to anyone on the fence.
I've already booked Japan with Intro and looking forward to it.

Just finished the 17 day Japan tour with Amelia and it was incredible! The activities, sights and accommodations were spot on and she guided us around expertly which made the whole trip stress free. Amelia is a genuinely lovely and friendly person and she made time for and cared for all tour members.

One of my highlights was seeing a full view of Mount Fuji however there were tons of top experiences we had including the Samurai class and staying in the Buddhist temple in Koyasan. The group gelled really well together and we had many laughs and good times! I’ve made loads of new mates on the tour and it showed me the value of travelling as a group. I would not have been able to arrange this kind of itinerary myself and I feel I got very good value for money on this trip! Would highly recommend 🇯🇵

Just finished my first ever Intro Travel tour, which exceeded my expectations. I’ve previously done 5 group tours with Explore! Intrepid and G Adventures.

So many highlights. I especially enjoyed sushi making, karaoke night, Japanese BBQ, the onsens, and the vegan meal we had at the Buddhist temple stay. Oh, and Lawsons :p

We had Lachie as our tour leader, and he did an excellent job. Everything was well organised and lots of helpful information was shared throughout the trip in our WhatsApp group.

Lachie was patient and calm, but also really fun. He helped make the trip enjoyable. Our group all got on so well, we’re planning a reunion sometime soon - with Lachie of course!

My Cambodia trip with Seyha was truly amazing. I couldn’t praise Seyha anymore. He was so organised, making the trip run so smoothly. I never had any queries or uncertainties about the itinerary. Communication was amazing. He’s so personable making everyone feel so welcome, and he really brings the vibe, making every activity so fun! I’m so grateful for all the knowledge he taught me about his country and I will keep this trip in my heart forever!! The only thing I would suggest for improvements is that the tour should be longer as there’s so much more to see!!

Violetta (V) was absolutely amazing during my Indonesia Experience trip starting on October 12th, 2025! From the moment I met her, I felt completely at ease, she has such an incredibly positive and contagious energy. Violetta was exceptionally organised and communicated every detail of the trip clearly. She was always ready to help with any issue and had fantastic recommendations for local spots and activities beyond the planned itinerary.

It’s clear that Violetta is genuinely passionate about being a travel guide. She truly enjoys meeting new people, learning about different cultures, and sharing those experiences with others. Her enthusiasm and love for what she does made the whole trip even more special. By the end, she felt more like a friend than just a guide.

Her passion for supporting local communities and intro’s small change initiatives really stood out and added so much depth to the experience. Anyone would be extremely lucky to have Violetta as their travel guide. She makes you feel supported, relaxed, and ensures you get the most out of your trip.

I went for the 38 day epic Asia trip and the experience was truly epic! Our leaders were all local, meaning I felt safe the whole time, there was a great knowledge base from which to ask questions and I found secret local spots I wouldn’t have otherwise found. Particular shout outs to TK, Leo and Tola (you guys were the best!!). The people you meet along the way are all great as well and truly become your mini family for 10-18 days. Great company, would highly recommend to anyone that hasn’t traveled before and is nervous about heading out alone.

It was great to be away travelling but to not have to worry about anything. It was stress free, which meant I only had to worry about enjoying myself. It was great using hotels rather than hostels as this was a worry of mine. I felt very safe the whole time as there’s a guide keeping an eye on you. The guides really do have a huge influence on the trip you have, and the 3 I’ve had have been great. Thank you TK, Leo and Tola! They truly enhanced my experience by giving recommendations, answering any questions I have, and through forming friendships.

The only thing I did struggle with was that by doing the ‘epic Asia’ tour, the countries being back to back can be a little exhausting and your social battery does run out. Maybe if there was a way to have a reset day before moving to the next country?

Our 17 day tour across Japan was the most memorable trip of our lives. We have always booked and planned our own trips, including a road trip across the US. However, we put our faith in Intro and trepidatiously entered the world of a planned tour. Luckily, we landed on our feet with Intro and we think that is all down to Amelia. Amelia was knowledgable, evidently an expert in her field and would stop at nothing to help any of us on the tour. Any question or query Amelia handled with care and diligence, supporting everyone equally and with compassion. Her unmatched knowledge of the environment and conservation made our experience even better, we definitely felt Amelia embodied the eco responsibility that Intro embraces.

The tour was excellently planned by the team and clearly based on experience. We visited all of the bucket list places we wanted in Japan and all for a very reasonable price for the quality of our experience.

We have never been on our tour before but we have booked two open ended Intro tour trips, which we can confidently say is only due to Amelia. Hopefully we can see her in Sri Lanka soon.

Japan is my fourth consecutive trip with Intro, as I am on an epic 5 month tour this year between August and January and it has been fabulous. Amelia, our group leader has been great. Her knowledge of Japan, especially in regard with conservation has been second to none and her care and attention for the group has been amazing. Thoroughly recommend this tour, bonus if your leader is Amelia.

I did the 17 day ultimate Japan tour in October. The tour itself was incredible, but our tour guide, Amelia was what made it so memorable. From the start she brought such a friendly and upbeat energy that made us all connect so much more, I’ve never laughed so hard with people I’ve only known for a few days!! She was so knowledgeable both on the local nature but also the local wildlife, which definitely added to our experiences in the more rural areas where we didn’t know as much about where we were. As well as being just such a fun and genuinely lovely person, she also made sure everyone was looked after both physically and mentally. There was one night where I was really really unwell and despite it being late, Amelia came straight to me and did not leave my side until I was feeling better. Throughout the whole tour she was unwaveringly kind, fun, thoughtful and her being there really made the trip what it was - I didn’t feel like I was on a group tourist tour. I felt like I was travelling around a country I felt really at home in, with friends I’d known longer than two weeks, and that wouldn’t have been possible without Amelia. All the love in the world to her and the whole intro company for being such a forward thinking and conscious travel company!! 100% recommend any of their tours!

Had the most amazing trip! Truly once in a lifetime! My amazing tour guide Amelia really helped to make us feel safe and have the time of our lives. Every experience was amazing and we had the best group. Honestly can't remember the last time I laughed that much! Would 100% recommend!

Another beautiful INTRO trip coming to an end in Vietnam. I had an amazing time with my groupleader Malin. She was the sweetest, happiest en selfless people I've ever met. She brought the energy and her joy everyday of the trip. You also really saw the excitement en love she had for Vietnam by telling us all the lovely facts about it. She was an amazing group leader, but also a friend and I will miss her a lot. I hope one day I will come across Malin as a group leader again!

Intro Travel was recommended to me by a friend and I think it was one of the best decisions I’ve made this year. The group tour guides (including the local guides) were incredibly organised which made it easy to switch off and just enjoy the experience. The people you meet also bring the vibes and were genuinely there to explore and have a good time. Would highly recommend!

I've just finished by third intro travel in Japan and I can honestly say that intro has got the balance between fun and affordability down. The trips are all fully packed making them relatively cheaper, and the group gives a nice default social group. You become friends really fast! A special shout-out to our group leader Gemma, who made sure everyone had the best time they could have. She got along with every single person in the group and never slacked in her energy even though she got ill during the trip.
