I purchased an iPhone 12. it keeps restarting and overheats. I went back to the store in few days after purchasing it.
since I have been sent back and for between the store, I bought it from and the Apple store over the past 5-6 weeks: everyone tried so hard not to be involved in it, it's hard to find out what caused the issue like this. advising me: wait for a system update, restore the system, and after 6 weeks they actually had a look at it and it turned out that its a faulty device.
they did not offer a replacement, just that they can replace some part of it. therefore I will end up with a refurbished device for a price of a new one.
finally, someone managed to log a complaint however over the phone, but the Agent did not say when and how will I get a final response. She told me to go back AGAIN to the apple store and TRY to speak with the manager. I popped into the store in Stirling (which isn't an official apple store)
so I should spend another Saturday driving to the nearest Apple store, and I am damn sure they won't replace it and I don't even dream of any compensation for all this nightmare they caused over the weeks.
So here I am with my first ever iPhone, and I can't use it for weeks.
Dear apple if you see this, tell us is this the level of customer service you wish to provide to your customers. if so please just do a favour and send me a final response asap.

Apple Dev Program - a Nightmare, AVOID
This is a review of the Apple Developer Program, a nightmare if there ever was one. I have tried to enroll in this program and have jumped thru many hoops but no success - either due to their dynosaurian software run by a useless AI or their deficient staff.
(1) You can not register on Apple Dev Program if your ID and your region doesn't match. So, if you are an American in Sri Lanka and want to register, you are out of luck.
(2) Even if you user VPN and say that you are in USA, the grand AI system will detect it and give you an error called the "Great Unknown" - even their Helpdesk staff can't tell you what the error was.
(3) I finally managed to get thru the door and paid for the program using two phones (one in US, one in Sri Lanka) and then, the Helpdesk struck. They canceled and refunded my Dev Program membership. The reason: I had the wrong region ID. To summarize:
(A) Correct region ID of USA in Sri Lanka = "Great Unknown" error
(B) Incorrect Region ID of Sri Lanka = "Helpdesk Strike"
Either way, you waste tons of time dealing with these nincompoops. How did this company become so successful??

I am a 'happy' owner of iPhone 12 pro which has not been working since I both it. The service is useless, confident with zero competence. My phone stops, starts, skips the music, switches siri on and off when moving. I supposedly had a phone fixed in-store, but nothing has changed when I collected it. I ended up with a device that does not work correctly. The advisors in store have no clue and all they do is running tests on the ipads and read what they see on the screen. The whole customer experience is rather scary. bottom line - I have a faulty I phone (for which I paid over £1000) and I don't know what is worse having a not functional phone or visiting their store again (I needed 3 visits on this occasions). the tragedy of technology and human stupidity at its finest

Refund request refusal
So my refund request for £2.99 and £6.99 was refused after buying two in-game packs from a game called Idle: Mania. This happened last week as i logged in to see that they had announced closure of their game/servers in one days time out of nowhere. Both packs i purchased on the 25/26th of April require you to log in each day to collect rewards over a 30 day period. Clearly i had only accumulated 4-5 days worth of rewards. On the same day you could no longer find the game in the App store as they took it down immediately. They also took down their facebook page too.
I explained the situation in detail to an Apple employee my as i believe i paid for something i did not receive that was out of my control. We went through the steps and a refund request was made for me.
The following day my request was refused so i thought surely they may need more information? I requested a review of the request on reportaproblem making sure to include all possible information including what the company themselves had said in-game.
Despite my efforts my review regarding the refund decision was not changed and remained refused. Is this normal? Did i lose my money? How is this fair? I personally cant believe it as i thought it would be a simple refund as they closed their game down and removed it from the app store out of nowhere.
What would you do in my situation? Should i just give up and take the hit or should i try to get back my money which i have very little of. Thank you

Mostly better than Android
iPhones are mostly better than Android phones. More stable, less buggy. Apps are definitely better. Longer warranty and longer support lifecycle than nearly all Android phones.
iPhone cameras are not as good as Android cameras for the same price. iPhones lack spam filtering, which can be very annoying. iPhones don't work as well with Windows PCs.
Apple Does Nothing To Fix Product Problems
I reported an issue around Thanksgiving time 2020 with my iPhone 12 Pro Max not recording any metadata when I take a photo. I have sent them so many screenshots and videos of the various issues and then I never hear back from them. I always have to follow up and when I do they just ask for more screenshots to be sent and they say the same thing, "We've forwarded this information on up to our engineers" and the whole cycle starts again and I wait and never hear back. You would think that for all the thousands of dollars I have spent with this brand since 2008 that they would want to help a very good customer but I really think they do not care at all. If I could leave a minus 1 star rating or a zero rating I would.

The product is excellent.. but the updates are not trusted.
Customer service is weird / way too corporate. Tense, rushed, techy kids In a hurry.
Privacy - few people realize how many companies can use apps to track you on these phones. People should shut their location buttons off and leave on only when using approved apps.
Everyone has heard of the updates that cause people to have to buy a new phone. Many block them for that reason.
They managed it on my phone too. Lost tons of contacts and info. One day the phone had too little memory to power up. No warning saying that would happen. Just thought could not use photo saving any longer.
Force attrition of expensive phones. AG's in all states should get a settlement for us. Too busy to do a small claim but should. Not for expired warrantee.. but for actually overloading my phone with updates and causing it to fail.
So great product but at year two or three warning ... consumers may find themselves needing a new phone that was working fine.
