I sent money last July 6

I sent money last July 6, 2024 and as of today September 6, 2024 remittance has not been received by the recipient in the Philippines. It's been 2 months now and already made several follow ups and all responses were they are still monitoring when the transaction would go through. Keep apologizing but no real action. I am a loyal customer for more than a decade and now I am fed up with their service. I requested for a cancellation/refund as suggested by the customer representative, submitted all required documents. My question now is how fast I-Remit will be able to credit back my money. Service becomes worst based on my experience.

Iremit is a SCAM!

0 Star if possible!
Still trying to follow-up with them after more than a month of waiting that my money will get deposited in my bank to Philippines. This is the 3rd time and last 2 times after more than 2 weeks of waiting all they can offer is to refund my money! It’s a Big SCAM!!!

We all have choices, take your business with Remitly!

Many moons ago, iRemit was the best and very convenient to remit money to Philippines...until their service has degraded and from 2-3 business days, money remittance now takes as long as 10 business days....JUST TO GET AN UPDATE and a response of pasensiya na po, will will follow-up!
Only good thing is refunds back to your account takes SAME DAY! =)
So clearly this business will lose customers...
iRemitX can definitely do a better job, but it's up to them.

NO MORE IREMIT FOR ME WORST REMITTANCE


Sent money on Apr. 20, 2024.until today still on processed May 7,2024, sent msg to the iremit agent and reply me pasensya na we follow up again and again. I have been a loyal customer for more than 10 years. Service went from excellent to worse. I better look for another remttance service.

iRemit bad experience

I have done my remittance on Apr 7,2024 and before proceed it popped out a window requesting for acknowledgement that processing time to be credited may take up to maximum 7-banking days. And so i did acknowledge and proceed. On the 6’th banking days which exluded 2 days holiday(Hara Raya) and weekend Sat-Sun i asked for status and was advised under crediting. The 7-banking days had gone and again i follow-up still i’m told under crediting. The unacceptable thing is that it already lapsed 7-banking days and just keep giving invalid reason that it is under crediting! Why not give a specific reason to at least explain the delay and appease customer concern?? And now after i waited for more than 7-banking days the customer service is telling me that if i cannot wait i can ask for refund. What kind of customer engagement is that? You have asked me in the first place to wait for up to 7-banking days and when it lapsed you just say i can ask for cancellation and refund?? Where is customer justice in this case? Why not be truthful to customer and tell that crediting may exceed 7-banking days up to # of days you really can commit to deliver:-( I was told when i finally made call to customer service that there is problem in the iRemit system since 1 year ago. Why for so long you have a system issue and yet your customer service is taking up this matter so lightly?? You have to stop playing and really work…

0 stars. Stayed with Iremit for 5 years due to loyalty. Have found with the recent changes, to the app, that they lack communication. Even today the person on the phone met you with an air of arrogance. Avoid these guys… overpriced and with poor customer service.

Worst remittance company.

I agree with everyone else here. The apps or remote office are not the issue but the main office where you money lands in remittance. When they first started they were okay not great but okay. Over the past few years this remittance company is nearly impossible to deal with. Please do not use this company. They hold your money to earn more interest. Their common excuse is back office processing. That is BS.

If there’s negative star review I would…

If there’s negative star review I would have picked it. Such bad service. Delayed in depositing funds in the account for 2 weeks that I had to change to pickup. My senior Dad in the Philippines had to go to 3 different locations because there’s no one who could assist them. He’s not mobile and they gave him a run around.
I will never use them ever again!

follow up review to my June 7, 2023

This is a follow up review to my June 7, 2023 entry. As I stated, I sent money through iremit on May 18, 2023. But until now, June 13, 2023, my sister hasn't received the money. I phoned iremit Canada for three times already. They cannot provide me an explanation why it was taking too long. This is one of the signs that a company is going down. It could be that this company is running out of funds. So avoid this company and do not make the same mistake that I did.

0 star! very disappointed with iremit, unreliable specially we need the money as my niece is in the hospital. I was told money will be ready in 7 working days, today is the 7th day. But when my sister tried to get money today, wasted time and effort to go to 2 different places she was instructed to go, she was then told IREMIT was offline? I've been using iremit since 2009, but I think it's time to look for another remittance service provider. Can't rely on them at all specially in an emergency situation like we are in now. Disappointing. I feel sorry though for all the people working for them, they have been very helpful, such a shame they work for unreliable company.

Worst remittance service

Sent money on May 18, 2023. I called today, June 7,2023, and it was still in process. Iremit agent could not tell me what was causing the delay. Felt bad for the agent because he was very polite but not able to do anything. I have been a loyal customer for more than 10 years. Service went from excellent to worse in the last 6 months. I better look for another remttance service.

sign of decline..7 days processing? never heard of. they used to be the fastest and most reliable. in this time when there are many alternatives, its very difficult to win back customers.

I am their client since 2005

I am their client since 2005, but will never be sending money through them anymore. Their service has gone downhill. The most recent transaction has given me enough stress., sent money 5 May- received just today, 2 June. And that!s before the advisory of 15 banking days delivery. Im sad for the staff though, theyare polite and helpful.

Helpful customer service when I had…

Helpful customer service when I had issues with uploading ID in App. Sent money twice in 1 day (late afternoon). Money received in Philippines a few hours later. My sister did not receive a text message notification but was able to check her bank online. I chose Iremit as they had higher exchange rate at the time of sending saving me a few Sterling £. I’m only giving it 4 stars as beneficiary was not notified otherwise 5 stars if money is not needed urgently.

AVOID

18 days it took my mum to get my remittance, my poor has to asked for loan to my neighbours just to get by.. now i sent money to my nice for tuition fee.. 10 days gone and still processing. Avoid this company as they will hold your money for at least 2 weeks… very poor service.. i am a avid customer for 18 years.. i think now it’s time to look somewhere else… avoid avoid
