I've been experiencing high levels of stress even bad sleep due to my long journey in front of the bright computer screen until I found Iris. This software lets you shutting down the blue light that as many of you know is carrying a lot of issues nowadays due to the disruption of our biological clock. Now I can work long hrs without feeling the same, Thank you! And the customer service is great too.

Nothing can compete with this simple package

I've been using IRIS for almost 3 years now. As someone who's constantly working with the computer, I've find it impossible to stay productive without adjusting the blue light and brightness with IRIS. The sheer number of filters like inverted colour come handy when your writing programmes and codes. No other software I came across can compete with this one. I highly recommend it if you're frequently using the computer. It really helped me with my eye strain problem so it may work for you too :)

Only thing that works on Linux Mint and it's good

I use Linux Mint - RedShift didn't work for me, Flux didn't work for me, but this works and it's pretty good :)
(location doesn't work and I have to start it manually, but it's still good for what it's supposed to do - change the color of my screen to something more palpable for my eyes)

Many Bad Things Upon the Maker of this Program

Not good company. There is no support whatsoever. I have no way of canceling the payments being made because there is no way to cancel. (I signed up using paypal in quick mode.) What kind of program has *no option* to cancel it? I went into the discord and said this is illegal and was banned. I know you are reading this Daniel, I wish bad things for your life.

I purchased the Pro Iris program after…

I purchased the Pro Iris program after using the Iris program free for 7 days. Every time I tried to down load the program a message appears asking if I want to buy Iris when I have already done that. I have been in contact with the company CEO through email asking for help 7 times. I keep getting the same reply "use this code" he has emailed me to install Iris on my computer. The problem is I cannot get to that point to type in the code he gave me. I finally asked for a credit on my card, but 3 days later have not seen a refund. I gave up on Iris and started a dispute with my credit card company. It's really to bad as I liked the Iris program when I was able to use it during my 7 free day period.

I have bought the standalone version…

I have bought the standalone version where I do not get updates, what a mistake! Linux support at the time of writing is crude. I have to run the shell script to activate Iris, which only runs in tray and has no icon. Furthermore setting my location is apparently not supported west of the UK as every time i set it the client removes the negative signs, making day and night meaningless and frustrating. I cannot even use my code on windows on the same machine. Frustrating, rough software that is too raw to charge for in my opinion.

You need this software if you spend time staring at a computer screen

I know so many people spend time working long hours staring at screens, especially due to continued working from home. Since using Iristech, I take 20:20:20 breaks (look away from your screen for 20 seconds, at an object 20 metres away, every 20 mins. With that and the reduction in blue light, my eyes feel so much better at the end of the day.
In summary this software is a bargain for the benefits it provides.

I really like Iris

I really like Iris, I use it on all my computers. It really helps reducing the strain on my eyes, especially when making long hours behind the computer. Big fan.
For me, Iris Mini serves all my needs, but I will probably upgrade to Pro int the future to tinker a bit more.

Great software

A great software with an important purpose and it does a heckuva good job at fulfilling that purpose. The price is low when you consider the amount of good it can do you in the long run.

Really great product with great support but a bit pricey.

You may have heard of f.lux, the widely known software for eye protection. Apart from its freeware aspect there are much to be desired. Such as working properly on other platforms (Linux especially).

Well Iris is a bit like f.lux but on steroids, it covers blue light, brightness (because reducing the brightness of the screen directly may be more detrimental as some monitors reduce the lights by flickering more).

It can also manages exceptions. Have you ever worked with any photomontage softwares in the night, you'll know why exceptions are always great). If you like macOS font rendering, recently they added in the Windows version GDIPP into Iris. There are also a lot of presets, I don't use them, but still great.

The support is present and nice, recently I had an issue because I was using their other software Vision alongside with Iris. And they helped me to solve my problem. I got a respond in less than a hour.

The only drawback is its price, 50 bucks for a complete software with updates, 15 for one locked on one major version is kinda meh. I'm sure if the company were to be more known the prices could reduce. As it's a really small company. I get why the prices are a bit high, but still I still think it's a bit pricey, not everyone could afford this software. So in my opinion there is one drawback but still an important drawback for the majority of users.
