Terrible customer service!!!..

Terrible customer service!!!... half of my roses did not make it and the other ones look pretty sad. I have sent several emails in the last 2 months and talked to a “Mary” who suggested to use Epson salt every 2 weeks! (this has not helped) and nobody has followed up to find out what they could do for me and they keep saying they will get in touch and nothing has happened. There is nobody answering phones!! My warranty is good until the first week of September. I live in Aurora, Colorado and I DO NOT WANT MORE PLANTS FROM THEM!! I want my money back!
MY ROSE BUSHES FROM COSTCO THAT ARRIVED AT THE SAME TIME ARE DOING BEAUTIFUL! Veronika

Ordered Roses Not What Was Received...Stay Away!

We ordered the pink Rose Petal groundcover roses at the end of September 2019. It took them until July 2020 to start blooming anything, so we weren’t able to notify them of the error by May because there was no growth of any kind to report. The roses we received are not the ones we ordered. The description on their website shows and describes the roses as compact, with large bright pink blooms on dark green foliage. These are far from that. They are scraggly, with few tiny white rose blooms on light green foliage. We emailed them a couple of times, but have not received a response. Very disappointed as this experience was far from what we expected based on their website and guarantee. I wish there had been reviews on them from others before we purchased from them. Would not purchase from them again.

Update: I emailed Jarrod on 08/15/20 upon his request regarding my review, but have yet to receive a response from any of the 5 emails sent to J&P. I am contemplating suing in small claims court for my money back. Has anyone else pursued this avenue?

Received the wrong plants

I purchased 9 white coreopsis plants this spring. So it took several months for them to grow and flower. I received 9 of the wrong variety. They all bloomed yellow. My biggest concern about this company is that they block my negative review from their website. Meaning their reviews cannot be trusted. I would not do business with them again.

Very Dissatisfied Would've Been Customer

I’m so extremely disgusted, frustrated and disappointed in Jackson and Perkins. I bought 4 bare root roses thinking I was getting the top of the line... Spent over $100.00 bad mistake. They’ve been in the grown since the end of May. Not one leaf has grown on them. Not one rose NOTHING. Called customer service and was instructed to submit an email with pictures. Did that... Not one response from customer service. You can’t talk to them now you have to email until August !!! What kind of crap is this? Dead flowers now no response from customer service who by the way says they’ll respond promptly. I don’t know what they consider prompt., I know it's my last time wasting my money on their dead products which is sad because I truly believe they stood by their product. Very dissatisfied would've been customer. You made a sale but lost a very good customer.

Bare root = dead root. Bare root customer service.

Bought 4 bare root roses (2 of 2 different varieties) in Spring, which were delivered in May. All four had no leaves, seemed very dry. Now, over amonth later, one variety has leaves, the other 2 plants are still dead..brown dried canes, no leaves. I am an avid rose gardener..have planted hundreds of them and know how to take care of them. But when someone receives dead plants, what can they do?
I contacted Jackson and Perkins through email (live chat was not working) over 2 weeks ago and have not received a response. Came here last week and saw that "Eric" said to send requests to him, so I did that, but still no response. All I want is a replacement or refund for the two dead plants. If I do not hear anything in a few days, I am going to file a dispute with my credit card company.
I used to do a ton of business with J&P and the quality was excellent. I then retail found places closeby that had good plants so purchased there. With the pandemic however, I decided to go back to J&P (spend more for plants and high shipping costs). Quality has gone downhill and non existent customer service. Too bad.
UPDATE: Eric contacted me and offered me a refund for my two dead roses! Very thankful for this, so I am adding a star!

Don't buy the roses from them - falsely advertise the colors,

I purchased 5 rose bushes from them, 2 of which are not even close to the color advertised and the flowers are small. A rose advertised as orange on the website turned out to be white and another red rose is peach and yellow in color. Never buying again.

BARE ROOT ROSES DEAD

I purchased 14 bare root roses. A professional gardener assisted me with the plants and will take 6 to 8 weeks after planting. I contacted the company that there were no green leaves after 8 weeks. They emailed an instruction Mix 1/4 cup of Epsom salt to 1 gallon of water to each rose. I did. No green leaves. They asked for the scratch test shows the roses are dead. I could not provide due to health reason. Finally, I was able get up from my bed and took pictures (no green leaves. 90 days guarantee is expired. Not one single green leave from start to 90 days. They shipped bad roses. The company is dishonest and DO NOT GIVE your MONEY.

Unaccountable

I Ordered 3 maypops ( cold hardy passion fruit vines) over 2 months later still nothing. I reached out and they assured me even though the site says they had zero ( which I didn’t know ) they have my order and it will ship end of the week . A week later they called me and said they couldn’t get my paypal to work ?? Seemed not true but I have them a credit card to run which they confirmed went through , this is after I asked how big the plants are and that I will be very disappointed to get 3 tiny little starts for 75$ I’ve been waiting for for months .. the lady said they will be smaller than what you’d get at a nursery so I cut my order to 2 . She said they’d ship that week. Another week later and I get an email saying my order was cancelled ... never again .

They sent me a dead tree

They sent me a dead tree, they refused to issue a refund or send me a healthy tree, then four weeks later said they'd refund me my money and didnt, and when I filed a complaint through PayPal they eventually said look at the great merchandise credit we're issuing for 75% of your purchase price!! even though they had promised a refund.

Dont buy from them. Run away as fast as you can!!

The Rose Company - I think not!

I sincerely don't like to give a bad review, however I am customer service oriented and expect a company to appreciate my business and stand by their products. I have ordered product from Jackson and Wayside previously and again this year from Wayside but I didn't realize they are connected. I had bought a rose from them last spring along with other plants and roses and one of them didn't give many roses last year but I expected it to do well this spring but it didn't come back? I emailed and didn't get an email back so I called and spoke with a representative and she told me that I would not get a credit or a refund as the roses carry a 90 day guarantee? I felt that being they are "the rose company" with all the catalogs I get that it would be a year, spoke with a supervisor and said 90 days only. I told her I would never get another rose from them and I'm only one person but I know there are many others and I felt that a repeat customer would be taken care of and I was sadly mistaken.

Covid must have hit them hard!

I have a hard time giving J&P a bad review. I bought a Carey Grant rose from them in 1982 as a wedding gift to my wife. We have moved it with us wherever we moved and this year, 2020, it was more robust than ever. This year I ordered 6 roses. Three came quickly and were in great shape. The other 3 took a month and 2 were in great shape. One was split at the base and would be prone to disease. I notified them 4 times over several weeks before I finally got a response. They credited me right away, but I wanted the rose. Now over a month and a half since I made the order, it was sold out. I credit the delay to Covid. In the long haul, they and their products were excellent.

Dead Roses

I ordered 9 roses from jackson and perkins order #WEBJP3608792 on feb 2020 and received it at the end of March . None of them survived and all of them had some disease. I asked for a refund with the photos of all the roses. Received an automatiic reply saying somebody will respond. But no response in spite of repeated e-mails. JP was a good company sometime back and used to recommend to my friends. No more. This is my second bad experiance. Last year also I ordered three roses which was on sale only one survived.

I bought roses in memory of my husband.
I followed the instructions, did everything I could for success... I wanted them to be beautiful to honor my husband who loved roses.
TERRIBLE quality, did NOT grow well, NOT what I was promised.

NOW, they will not give me a refund or replacement because I don't live in the "right zone" so it's all on me. WASTE of time & money...
Not even a tiny bit of kindness in a time of pandemic!
Well.... J&P you truly suck & I hope you lose business with this review.

New To Ordering Flowers Online

I have never bought flowers online and was skeptical.
I couldn't find a specific type of flower at nurseries near me so i opted to order through jackson and perkins.
I got bare roots in the mail a few days after i purchased with instructions on how to plant them.
When the flowers bloom, i will follow up on my review.
So far, I'm satisfied. Customer service representatives are very nice and helpful!

I ordered four roses

I ordered four roses. Received three. One is doing very good, one so so and the third rose. DOUBLE DELIGHT died immediately. I emailed Jackson Perkins several times, even enclosed a picture of the rose. NEVER heard a word from them. Guess once they have your money they don’t care anymore. I was under the impression the roses had a 90 day guarantee. Guess not. Jackson Perkins USED to be fantastic, but no I will never recommend them to anyone. Fourth rose finally showed up, it was very very small, but might make it

Nearly dead tree arrived, didn't survive a year

We ordered a Honeycrisp apple tree the same time we got a Zestar and a Tindercrisp from our annual tree sale through the city.
Our Honeycrisp arrived broken at the top, and while we planted it immediately and nursed it along as best we could (the other two trees are thriving) what is left of the Honeycrisp in mid-May is essentially dead wiod in the ground. I do NOT recommend this nursery, and will never do business with them again.

Jackson and Perkins inferior product

I ordered over $400.00 worth of live Plants and received over $400.00 worth of live Plants covered in fungus and received a $96.00 credit. I've purchased my Rose's from Jackson Perkins for over 20 years and I've been happy. Now they have lost a customer permanently. I've never had to call a vendor and wait on hold as much as I have with Jackson Perkins. They can't replace anything because they have no stock. Don't plan your garden with Jackson Perkins because when you receive your order boxed full of fungus from one plant getting everything else infected and do not receive a full refund why bother with this company.
