For any potters & ceramacists who love the Japanese style and ethos of the handmade this tour was fantastic. Hands on experiences, meeting masters and artisans, working with them in their studios, and getting our hands dirty was the best. Plus mainly 4/5 star hotels, onsens and seeing off the beaten track of Japan all added to the experience. The group leader and support team created a remarkable tour and new friends across the world have been made. Best of all were the wonderful Japanese potters, makers, who shared their skills knowledge and their rich family ceramic traditions willingly with us made it all the more special. Thankyou Davida, Yuri, & Sayaka.

We had an amazing trip to Kyoto. Christine and the team organised a wonderful itinerary, answered all of our questions, and we were well prepared to make the most of our time away. We would highly recommend Japan Travel, and would certainly use them again for any future travel.

This is my second trip to Japan with my two college aged kids using Japan travel and it’s hard to believe that we had even more fun this time around. Myaen and the travel team at Japan travel have been incredibly supportive, resourcefu and creative in making our trip so incredibly memorable and fun. We got to explore Kyoto and Tokyo in more depth.
We had some very unique opportunities like doing a shibori workshop in Arimatsu city ( the home of ancient Japanese shibori dye ). We also got to go to a village outside of Kyoto and learn how to make mochi from scratch by a local farmer in the village who than invited us into his home to share a meal he cooked for us at the table. The guides that we met were also very knowledgeable and nice. There is so much to see and learn about traveling to Japan. I’m already thinking about my next trip and I will certainly use Japan travel again and recommend them to my friends who plan to go.

Claudia and the team made for a seamless and unforgettable travel experience which enabled me to experience the autumn colours in various parts of Japan.
All the accommodation and travel arrangements were ideal. I was delighted with the train window seat reservations which made train travel both convenient and most enjoyable.
This trip was put together carefully over a few months of planning to ensure that everything worked like clockwork which it did.
This was my fifth trip with Japan Travel and if travelling to Japan in the future Japan Travel would always be my choice.

Masa was the most wonderful event planner! From planning to execution he was with us every step of the way making the weekend absolutely magical.

Japan Travel was very easy to work with. After doing my due diligence I contacted them to see if they could help me. I had specific things I wanted to do and they tailored a solo trip I really enjoyed! They arranged everything, provided a detailed itinerary and kept in touch while I was there. It was super easy to contact them if I had any questions before and during my trip. Did I have any issues? Nothing on their part - minor things like train schedule changes. Would I use them again? Yes! Especially since I stay out of the tourist areas. If you contact them be specific on what you'd like to do, the kind of places you'd like to stay and your budget. Cheramie was so helpful and answered my questions honestly and quickly. I had a great time and will be back soon.

Our 6-person, 14-day Japan visit went so smoothly, thanks to the immaculate planning, attention to detail and responsiveness of Claudia and her colleagues at Japan Travel. I was initially nervous as we had no experience with the group, however Claudia listened and provided the reassurance and confidence we needed. Our trip took in Tokyo, Kanazawa, Kyoto and Osaka, using each place as a hub from which to explore more regional sites. Day trips were well balanced - even when long drives were included. A bus tour to Ine Bay, Amanohashidate, and Miyama Village was a huge hit, even with the "non-bus tour" people in our group. Private guides were knowledgeable, humorous and interesting. Transportation links faultless and we appreciated the range of optional activities provided. We all definitely recommend.

We worked with Cheramie and Irish to arrange private day tours for stops during a cruise around Japan in October 2025. They put together a wonderful itinerary, making sure to include landmarks we wanted to visit in the different locations.

Upon boarding the ship, we were notified that Typhoon Halong was moving towards Japan and our route was changed. We ended up missing 3 of the 6 stops. Cheramie and the finance team were wonderful and very responsive, offering a refund for the missed days, going above and beyond.

The tours we were able to participate in were wonderful, with friendly, helpful guides and drivers. In Nagasaki, we were only scheduled with a driver, but even with a language barrier and using translation devices, he acted as a guide for our day.

I highly recommend using Japan Travel for specialized tours and will definitely reach out to them for future trips to Japan. Thank you for all of your hard work!

Mia and the whole team were fantastic. Made a complex itinerary super smooth and trouble-free. A combined birthday/anniversary celebration week for us in Shikoku including the Shimanami Kaido cycling road (train tickets, bike rental, itinerary planning) plus island-hopping during Setouchi Art Triennale to Shodoshima, Naoshima, Teshima. Japan is a delight if you plan appropriately and get the logistics right - then it's smooth sailing (or sailing and cycling in this case!) - and it's well worth hiring pros like Mia to get things right. Recommend even for Tokyo residents and Japanese speakers, tickets, reservations and web forms in Japan can be a challenge, best outsource to this super experienced team!

From planning to execution and support throughout the entire trip, it was a pleasure to be looked after by Miakee from Japan Travel. The tour guides Japan Travel provided along the itinerary were also excellent, with one exception. We would also like to express our gratitude to them.
We can therefore recommend Japan Travel without reservation.

The trip organisation was beyond excellent, and very reasonably priced compared to other quotes we received. We were a party of 4 with very different interests, ranging from shopping to crafts to history etc. The agents (Cheramie was our main contact) were extremely patient and helpful with all of our demands, and changing date range. It took us many months to finalise the trip (with the delays and changes of mind all on our side), and the result exceeded our expectations.

The whole trip was very carefully planned, with all connections and routes provided in a single live document, updated when needed. For activities where we split (e.g. two of us wanted to go to Ghibli museum), alternative sightseeing/shopping suggestions were provided as requested. Private transfer to and from the airport was organised, and the driver helped us buy travel cards and sim cards. A portable WiFi hire was also organised in advance, so we were connected from the start.

Prior to the trip, the agency set up a WhatsApp group, and any questions were addressed more or less instantly. They checked that we caught our trains, and everything went smoothly. They helped with any unexpected things (there were a couple, and it was resolved immediately). They gave us restaurant suggestions, and booked restaurants for us on a short notice. They even helped me book a treatment for bad back (carrying hand luggage at the airport did not help).

Our trip involved three different locations. The activities we had included various excellent craft workshops, a cooking workshop (which was absolutely brilliant), a food tour (ditto), visits to manga and anime museums, self-guided and guided sightseeing, a bus tour, and a lot of other things. How they managed to organise and coordinate all of our demands into two weeks so efficiently I still do not understand, but it all worked, and every activity was enjoyed.

The hotels booked for us were all excellent, with breakfast included (some had good breakfast in the hotel, one hotel had extra option of using their vouchers in the nearby market food hall which we used with pleasure, one hotel had a lot of freebies such as happy hour with wine, or nigh time snacks).

We really did not expect this level of support, and in a country with such a different culture their continuous assistance, and answering all our little silly questions was priceless.

When we visit Japan again, we will definitely use Japan Travel again.

From start to finish it was a five star job !

They know Japan very well and they planned our holidays day by day without any mistakes! Very quickly responding, in case of any problem, they solved it also during weekend and again very quicky. everything they did was perfect

What a terrible organization, we had totally no support during our 2,5 weeks journey through Japan. So many things went wrong and we didn’t get any response on mail, WhatsApp or phone calls. They kept us totally in the dark. I would never recommend this organization to any one who’s planning to travel to Japan.

Myaen did an excellent job setting up activities and destinations catered to our family! We did a lot of different activities including:
1. A guided tour around Tokyo.
2. Fishing and kayaking on Lake Biwa.
3. Traveling on our own via trains and a bus to Magome, hiking the Nakasendo trail, and staying at an amazing minshuku.
4. Visiting multiple amazing shrines and gardens.
5. Attending an amazing musical performance in Osaka - UTAGE.
6. Eating / drinking tours in Osaka and Tokyo.

Myaen also providing detailed information on which trains / platforms to take, provided a packet of Shinkansen tickets, and even had CPAP water delivered to each of our hotels.

Japan Limited KK and Myaen provided a wonderful trip!

I usually research, organise and book everything myself for all our trips, however for our first trip to Japan we felt that some local "on the ground" input and experience would be helpful.
Cheramie was incredibly helpful and extremely responsive to all of our requests and various amendments to our itinerary and in also incorporating travel arrangements around a couple of hotel reservations which we had made ourselves. While on the trip Cheramie or one of her colleagues checked in with us via Whatsapp each day to check that everything was going OK, which it was, however it was a nice touch. I would not hesitate in recommending Japan Travel to anyone planning a trip to Japan.

Masa made our trip to Japan outstanding! We have been working with Masa to plan a big family trip to Japan. He helped us create a wonderful experience. When we arrived he helped us execute it! His guidance, flexibility, translation service were indispensable. We loved every minute and he made it possible!
