Tourist Japan SUCKS
Tourist Japan is a company that does not care about its customers. The only thing they seem to care about is their bottom line. Their tours are over priced, provide zero value. They are just a middle man that does not properly vet their guides.
Their customer service is slow and disingenuous.
Take a sec and google what the tour you want they offer and give the actual company providing the tour a chance, you will get better customer service and a better experience.
Don’t waste your time or money with them.

We highly recommend this tour and Jiro in particular. Jiro’s English was very good. Jiro shared not only his extensive knowledge of Tokyo and the sites we visited, but also introduced us to the city’s lesser‑known hidden gems.

A very culturally rich tour, and delicious too. Jira was a wonderful tour guide and kept things light but informative enough for my two young kids. I definitely recommend the tour with Jira, we will meet these memories forever.

Total nightmare - Avoid tourist Japan at all costs
I am beyond disappointed with the service provided by Tourist Japan. What was supposed to be a "stress-free" bucket list trip to Japan turned into a complete logistical disaster.
First, they messed up our hotel reservations in Osaka. We arrived after a long day of travel only to be told the room booking was missing a bed. We spent hours in the lobby, eventually paying out of pocket so we could finally rest.
The issues continued with our Shinkansen tickets. They issued the wrong QR code making the booking invalid.
To make matters worse, their "24/7 emergency help line" is a total lie. We called multiple times during these crises and no one ever picked up or responded.
We were left in a foreign country with no support.
This company's negligence and lack of communication ruined our vacation. Save yourself the stress and money book everything yourself or find a reliable agency. This company is an absolute train wreck.

We also regret your experience trying to reach our support team. Our customer service operates around the clock, but we were unable to locate a record of the calls mentioned. That said, your feedback is important, and we are continually improving and expanding our support team to ensure faster, more reliable assistance in urgent situations.
Tourist Japan packages are designed to provide a smooth, well-supported experience, and we clearly fell short in that regard. We are actively reviewing both our booking processes and communication protocols to prevent similar issues in the future. We have also sent you a private message to discuss this further and see how we can help make this right.

A great experience so far
We have had several tours with TJ. They arranged also our hotel.
Everything went without a hitch.
For the Fuji trip the weather didn't cooperate. Our imperial palace tour was great and the tour guide was very knowledgeable. Our tour with the fish market was awesome as the guide lives in the neighborhood.

Tokyo tour in March
Jiro gave my family a most excellent tour of Tokyo. He has tremendous knowledge of Japan and a genuine excitement as he explains the culture and history of the locations. He went above and beyond taking us to our train back to our hotel and checking on us later to ensure we made it back. Highly recommended!

Mr Jiro made the tour very interesting and he was very patient with us. He made sure we see important landmarks and told us interesting things about Japanese culture, but he was definetly the highlight.

Unforgettable experience in Tokyo
We enjoyed every second of our tour in Tokyo! Our amazing guide Jiro guided us through the city in a way that we almost felt like locals living there. He had a lot of knowledge about the city and he had humor as well. We had so much fun and learned so much about Japan’s history! Would defiantly recommend using tourist japan when you visit Japan!
