Very kind, caring and professional service
Devastated by the loss of my dad I had no idea where to begin.
I was guided throughout the process by Kerry at the Knebworth branch. She helped me create a very personal and emotional tribute to my darling dad - everything was very thoughtfully and tactfully done. The celebrant she suggested was just perfect for us and I felt listened to so the tribute captured the true essence of who he was.
Kerry supported me during the difficult few weeks before the service and has continued to do so.
I cannot speak highly enough of everyone at JJ Burgess and would not hesitate to recommend them.

Unprofessional and Disappointing Service
I recently booked a Rolls Royce hearse through R J BURGESS for my brother's funeral, and the experience was nothing short of appalling. Despite confirming the booking weeks in advance with both myself and my funeral director, I received a call just 48 hours before the funeral—on a Friday afternoon—informing me that the vehicle I had reserved was unavailable due to faulty brakes. Shockingly, they had only just tested the vehicle at the last minute.
When I raised my concerns about the lack of empathy and professionalism, the response was rude and dismissive. I was offered an entirely different vehicle that completely changed the look and feel of the arrangement. The representative’s response was blunt and unprofessional, stating, “Do you want it or not?”
This was a deeply stressful time, and their behavior made a difficult situation even worse. I had been warned about this company before, and now I completely understand why. Under no circumstances would I recommend R J BURGESS to anyone in need of funeral transportation services. Their lack of responsibility and customer care is unacceptable.
