Jobscan does a great job helping jobseekers succeed in the difficult world of applicant tracking systems used by most employers.

I’ve been using Jobscan since April 2023, right after being laid off due to the tech layoffs. Since then, I’ve been relying on Jobscan as a critical tool for my survival while trying to return to my actual career as a software engineer. Unfortunately, the job market has been brutal, forcing me to work at toxic jobs just to make ends meet.

Given my situation, I was really looking forward to upgrading to the annual plan this Black Friday, which would have saved me $40 compared to the quarterly plan. But Jobscan doesn't allow existing quarterly subscribers to upgrade to the annual plan — even during Black Friday. I’ve been paying since April, and it’s frustrating that loyal customers are excluded from this offer.

I’m giving this review the lowest possible rating because, frankly, I’m exhausted from dealing with cynical managers and toxic workplaces. If you care about common courtesy and fairness, it feels like you’re out of luck. I expected better from a service I’ve relied on to help me get back into my career. The system works great, but the treatment of paying, long-term subscribers is disappointing.

If you’re considering Jobscan, my advice is this: sync your subscription renewal with Black Friday so you can get the annual plan discount. If you’re already on a quarterly plan, you’re basically stuck unless you cancel and resubscribe, which makes no sense for loyal users.

I hope Jobscan rethinks its policy. Loyal subscribers shouldn’t have to jump through hoops just to save a little money.

Jobscan made my experience great based on their efficient cv analysis. I managed to adjust my cv and tailor it towards the job description I had applied to. This company is doing well due to excellent client support and efficient software that makes you job easier.

I've reviewed a number of online resume services and JobScan is the best for a number of important reasons.

While online resume builders are a dime-a-dozen, Jobscan allows you to easily build the BEST ATS compatible resume. This is THE MOST IMPORTANT element of JobScan versus other resume services, because if your resume isn't translated correctly by the HR tracking system, it will never be seen. JobScan also provides tips for further ensuring your resume is seen depending on the tracking system that is utilized.

Once your resume is built, JobScan actively works to help you get the job by analyzing your resume against the job description; providing you tips for creating the best match possible. This is an incredible service that other resume services don't seem to provide.

While I don't use AI for my cover letters, I tested Jobscan's ability to produce them. For those who find producing a cover letter difficult, Jobscan leverages AI to help you build a baseline cover letter from the job description. Other services will do this, but they build it from the resume, as far as I can tell. By building it from the job description, you get a much more tailored cover letter that matches the job better.

Jobb Scan is a wonderful platform, and it has helped me a lot in my career so far. I was able to create an amazing CV through Job scan and land interviews. Finally, I did get a job.
In the end, it is a tool to help you in your job applications. It will not apply on your behalf obviously and you still have to put some effort. Overall, I loved using it.

I learned I was to be laid off about 6 weeks ago, and began submitting applications immediately. It had been a while since I'd job hunted so I did it the way I always had. The online job boards like LinkedIn and Indeed were a larger part of my search. In the first 2 weeks I submitted 24 applications online. I got a few (10) rejections, but zero engagement otherwise. No calls, inquiries or interviews. I started using JobScan (on the advice of my outplacement, free for first 2 weeks) to tweak each resume to the job posting and tailored to the ATS, and subsequently submitted 22 more apps online. The difference has been Night and Day! While I have had a similar number of rejections (8), a full 1/4 of THESE applications have generated over 15 contacts of HR screenings, 1st or 2nd interviews. I have two THIRD interviews scheduled and expect another second interview to be scheduled today or tomorrow. I haven't gotten an offer yet but am confident I will. There is no doubt this has been the difference maker. I am a fan for life, and if you're not getting that initial interest, this will open the door.
UPDATE: I did get the offer!

I can't say enough good things about this service. In a world where half of these services don't even have a free version so you have to pay 70 bucks to find out it's not any good. Or the service doesn't work unless you get the premium version or even the premium version has minimal value. THIS IS NOT THOSE SERVICES. THIS TOOL WORKS.
My interviews had dwindled down to almost nothing. I spent an hour and a half redoing my resume on the scan tool and within the first week I had seven interviews. I finally started getting the right responses. I don't know what they do differently but I can tell you it works

Great tool to assist with getting your resume noticed! I had several interviews and landed a great job. The tool was easy to use and there was no hassle in cancelling the subscription once I landed a job. Highly recommended!

Best tool for today's job search experience. The program is easy to use and helped me navigate the newer AI filtered resume process. I am already moving on to a new position and I really believe this program helped speed that up for me.

One word ,Fantastic. I an era where every resume builder is paid and scam, Jobscan is free and by far the best resume builder out there . They also provide ATS checker and suggestions to improve the resume . Highly recommend it . Loved it.
