I was considering next steps for a career. I found Jobtest.org and have enjoyed reading through the results. Some of the results were obviously taken from my answers to the questions asked, but some of the information was new and it's given me some new ideas which I value. I also like the option of connecting with a coach if you so choose.

Effective, in-depth testing that honed in on my strengths.

Sloppy marketing efforts. Sent me an email without looking at my profile. Where in the world did they get the idea I was looking for a "career change?" Clearly, I've been an entrepreneur for over 40 years. I do not work for others; they work for me. Sloppy, sloppy, sloppy!

Coach Christine Allen is awesome. We met over the course of several months, and I went from having no idea what to do with my career to having a solid plan that I was excited about. In particular, Christine (1) is an excellent listener who feels almost like a therapist, (2) is very organized and provides helpful structure and assignments to keep the momentum going, and (3) encouraged me to consider careers that I initially dismissed -- including one that I am now pursuing. I highly recommend working with Christine!

I took the test and was so glad when the questions weren’t the same old generic questions every job quiz has and after I got my report it gave me all of the information about why I was likely to like the career they proposed and how it aligned with my personality ON TOP of showing me where to go and get any certifications/ education I needed (or that would at least help my resume) AND let me see honest feedback from people already in the field!!

I did some research online to look into jobtest.org before taking the time to complete the assessment. I found this to be a generally well liked resource as one of the top sites for exploring your career journey at pretty much any stage in life. There was an initial "sales funnel" style push to have me sign up for the full paid report and tools but not in any way that I found distasteful. I like to take my time considering my options and did receive an email where I was able to view the free version of the report, focusing on the personality/strengths/weaknesses insights gained from my assessment and review of potential jobs.
I'm in the middle of a leadership training that includes coaching sessions, but when I'm ready to make career changes in the near future, I see this as one of the first places I'll consider to help me manage through those career centric life changes. The coaching sessions matched with the report seems like a very efficient way to get started and find valuable insights, motivation, guidance, and accountability we all need to effectively manage change.

I can only say great things from my experience with Shannon Ring as a Career Coach. In a matter of weeks, we were able to set up a strategic plan of action to focus on the key job roles I wanted to pursue. What was even better was that I was able to land my new role right away. I am so happy and will reach back out in the Future

I recently took a career test on JobTest.org after seeing a targeted ad. While I was skeptical at first, I decided to give it a try. The test itself took around 15 minutes and asked a mix of personality, preference, and situational questions.

What I Liked:

✔ Lifestyle Considerations – It didn’t just spit out random job titles but actually suggested careers that aligned with my preferred family-oriented lifestyle.
✔ Insightful & Relevant – The results were surprisingly accurate, highlighting "Strategist" roles, which align with my strengths and career interests.

Potential Downsides:
⚠ Ad-Driven Discovery – I found it through an ad, which made me a bit wary at first.
⚠ Paid Reports? – Some career tests lock detailed insights behind a paywall (this one didn’t in my case, but it’s worth noting).
⚠ Limited Customization – While the recommendations were strong, they might not account for every unique skillset or passion without deeper exploration.

Final Verdict:
4.5/5 ⭐ – A surprisingly useful career test! If you’re looking for quick, relevant career insights, this is a solid option. It’s especially helpful if you want careers that align with your lifestyle, rather than just job titles that match your skills.

Would I recommend it? Yes! Just take the results as a starting point rather than a definitive career plan.

I came across jobtest.org because I’ve been feeling lost about my career and future plans for a while now. I’m a registered nurse and in addition to feeling burnt out, I’ve realized it’s just not a career I can tolerate for the rest of my life. I needed some guidance and with a google search found jobtest.org. I was skeptical about how informative it would be but when I received my results it read me like filth!! I was given information on my personality and work style and careers that match. Some of these careers are ones I have considered, but wondered if I really would be compatible. I needed some reassurance and confidence and happy to see that I was somewhat on the right track.

Jobtest gave me insight into roles that align with jobs I may actually want to do. I love that I got to put in the salary I'm looking for so the jobs aligned with real life.

About a year ago I was not happy in my career field. At the time I felt lost as to what I wanted to do, then I came across this test on IG and I’m glad I took it, because it gave me a goal to strive for. I now work in a career field that incorporates four of the recommended job fields.

I came to this website from a recommendation that it helps people in a more personalized way, especially those who are contemplating change or otherwise needing direction, and I am glad I did. I worked with Tom Chapman, who helped me feel seen, heard, and valued. His gentle guidance felt like a calm in the storm, and I appreciated that he went over all the details of not just the career test but how to interpret results and use that data to the fullest for next steps, rather than blindly follow its results. He was clear that ultimately the test itself is a tool, and coached me through how to use it well.

Though I have enjoyed my first session, I know it is not a magic bullet, and the road to refining my career goals and working my way to them is going to be a long and arduous one. But, I will feel better going through it when I'm not going through it alone.

I was matched with Elisha Austin, a phenomenal coach who truly listened to me and got to know who I was. She focused on helping me find a career I love instead of just "the next job." Elisha provided and taught me how to use various resources to advance my career search and how to stand out amongst other applicants. Her encouraging, inspiring, and positive outlook helped me through a difficult unemployment period and motivated me to continue the job search. I can't recommend her enough.

I recently discovered Jobtest.org while thinking about a career change. The experience thus far has been so encouraging, and very insightful. Right off the bat, seeing my skillset articulated in various forms (a visual chart, a bio, a summary of strengths, ideas for growth, etc.) has given me tools and vocabulary to take practical, active steps toward a more meaningful career. So many of the other career assessments churn out the same tiresome recommendations, but I was very pleased with the results and tools provided by JobTest.org. And then it got even better when I was matched with Tracey Monteiro as my career coach.
