Lies and more Lies

Do not believe the comment left by sashwindows.com. The business is still being controlled (quietly) by Robert Dixon who originally put joineryworkshop.com into administration and now runs the company debt free after stealing it from customers. Same old lies , my deposit was stolen by them but this is apparently legal because the company was liquidated even though everything is the same as it was!!! DO NOT TRUST THESE THIEVES , DO NOT BELIEVE THIS IS A DIFFERENT COMPANY !!

It has been about 20 months since Joineryworkshop.com went into liquidation. Customers of the new company are extremely happy with the service they receive. The new owner is responsible for all the new company activities and Rob Dixon does not control or manage any of it.

Joineryworkshop.com Limited went into liquidation in April 2018.

What was left of its website, systems of work and stock were purchased from the receiver by a former employee so that he and a few others could continue to work providing new and refurbished sash and casement windows. The new operation has been totally revamped to start afresh and strives to maintain the highest build and installation standards.

Because there was no new money or spare cash available, what wasn’t brought into the new company were the old snags and issues that may have been caused by work done by the old company – that is what FENSA membership is there to cover. In other words, if you had work completed before April 2018, we are very sorry but there is nothing that the new company can do to help, other than suggest that you approach FENSA. The new company doesn’t have access to old records and documents so is not able to become involved.

So if you see some bad reviews online, these may be by customers who feel the old company has let them down. We are pretty sure that we have also been targeted maliciously by ex-employees who were disgruntled about what happened. Not all of the reviews you see are by any means accurate.

Avoid Avoid Avoid!

Avoid Avoid Avoid! Recently been through liquidation but are trading under the same name. How does that work? Owed us money from an incomplete job which in fairness was not their fault but getting the money back took the threat of the small claims court. I'm about to take them there again for the lack of warranty support for the (expensive) new sash windows that they fitted with a '10 year guarantee' - not worth the toilet paper it was smeared on. The windows looked great but up close the finishing touches caused my builder and painter to laugh. I would love to be able to report that they are honouring the guarantee but not luck so far. Very very disappointed.

Advise you look elsewhere

Used this company to renovate sash windows with double glazing on two occasions. First occasion was fine, second was not.

Second time around, they mismeasured the glass and the response was totally inadequate. We were left without functioning windows for months. We did eventually get renovated windows, but only after numerous phone calls and chasing. Nor did they provide a warranty upon completion. Incompetent and negligent customer service, and they also tried to overcharge.

Will not be using again.

Joinery Workshop.com…

They are an absolute joke of a business. They sent us a number of invoices during the work they carried out at our house outside of our contracted terms. When we refused to pay them (as we wanted to pay as per the terms we had agreed) they tried all manner of tactics to force us to pay. They said they would pull all trades from our house, leaving us with no windows in winter as the old ones had already been removed. They told us they couldn’t pay the staff for Christmas unless we paid, and many other things. They lied about what they were capable of, if they tell you they can sort your listed building application, they’re lying! After chasing them for weeks to do it. They did it all wrong and told me I had 3 working days to source my own architect drawings for the application. They do not work to time frames they promise. Our work was due to finish on the 6th December. They finished on the 30th may. And only got it done that soon due to our constant pressure on them. Total lack of communication from them unless they want money. No matter how much you complain (even to the M.D.) nothing changes! And then with no warning the business name changes. Dodgy!!!!! Also now trading as Dixon and Beswick Consultancy. Do not deal with them. Useless staff! Rude ignorant and the worst customer service! Constantly having money issues and chasing for more than the work they have completed

An unpleasant and difficult process

An unpleasant process with a very difficult company.
In contravention of joineryworkshop.com's published terms and conditions, they refused to supply windows until MORE than the total cost of the windows had been paid.
Then, when told this was unacceptable, they refused to refund the deposit.
I have found this organisation to be both difficult and dishonest and would recommend anyone considering their services to look elsewhere.
