Thank you for your review and for your kind comments about our communication and ordering process – we're delighted to hear those aspects deserved five stars!

We did just want to mention one small point: we don't actually use Evri for our deliveries. It's possible this part of the review was intended for another retailer, or perhaps you meant our carrier, XDP.

Unfortunately, because we ship large, heavy rolls of flooring, there are only a very limited number of UK carriers equipped to handle this type of freight. We continually review our delivery partners, but the options for oversized flooring deliveries are much more limited than for standard parcels.

We're sorry to hear you were disappointed with the flooring.

This is a commercial-grade PVC flooring, so it is intentionally much more rigid than typical domestic cushioned vinyl.

That extra rigidity contributes to its durability and suitability for high-traffic commercial environments.

It's possible you were expecting a softer, more cushioned domestic-style vinyl, which has very different characteristics.

When installed, the flooring should be flexible enough to work with, particularly if it has been allowed to acclimatise to room temperature before fitting, and cracking would not be expected during normal installation.

If you believe there was a genuine manufacturing defect with the product you received, we'd have been more than happy to investigate had you contacted us.

We're sorry you were disappointed.

To clarify for future customers, the £58 total (including VAT and the standard delivery charge) was clearly displayed at checkout before any payment was taken, so there was no hidden increase in price.

Unfortunately, your delivery address is in the Scottish Highlands, where all carriers apply a delivery surcharge. This is outside of our control and is clearly explained in our shipping terms, which are available on every page of our website.

We contacted you before dispatch to explain the situation and offered you the option to cancel your order for a full refund with no obligation to proceed. We felt that was the fairest and most courteous approach, rather than simply taking the additional payment without discussing it with you first.

We appreciate that nobody likes unexpected delivery surcharges, and we share that frustration but it is unfortunately the norm for remote areas and in particular Scottish Highlands.
