ALL PARENTS of children you are considering putting in this companies property! PLEASE AVOID AT ALL COSTS. My son’s friends had arranged this accommodation for 3rd Year at University. This property when I visited was everything you would dread! From day 1 of encouraging my son to speak to the company to rectify basic problems, he was met with a wall of defence tactics, as they obviously felt “Students” were a “CASHCOW” and irrelevant.
PLEASE READ the feedback from other students/children themselves. I never post anything usually, but my child was so distressed in this place, hundreds of miles from home!!!

We have been tenants with Jupiter Properties for the past two years and have had a mix of experiences during that time. In recent months, however, there has been a noticeable improvement in the company’s professionalism and service. Staff members such as Ellie and Anjali have been particularly helpful and made a real difference to our overall experience.

Throughout our tenancy, we did face a number of issues. For an entire year, we only had one grey bin and did not receive the other required coloured bins despite repeated requests. Maintenance problems often took months to be resolved, and we had to live with an ongoing sewage smell that was never properly addressed. Additionally, there was no notice given the first time prospective tenants were shown around the flat, and we had a few interactions that came across as unnecessarily rude.

That said, the recent improvements have been encouraging. The flat itself was visually appealing and well presented—especially compared to others we’ve seen. The enhanced level of service and communication gives us hope that Jupiter Properties is continuing in a positive direction.

We hope they maintain this improved standard going forward and continue to provide a professional and respectful experience for future tenants.

Room in shared house advertised as available to individuals, for a reasonable amount for an individual. However, after paying £100 holding deposit received a joint tenancy contract which featured a much larger amount which stated I was legally liable for (i.e. all tenants liable for rent of whole group). Questioned them about this by phone and email, was repeatedly told I would not be liable. Suggested the contract be changed to reflect this - from a joint tenancy to a sole tenancy contract - but this request was declined. No offer made to refund £100 deposit. Alot of dodgy property in Manchester, had hoped this company differed.

Mice in the kitchen, several damages when I arrived, entering the property without 24 hours (nor any) notice on several occasions, held my deposit for longer than is legally permitted and lied about returning it to me. General disregard for the correct legal practice that you'd expect a landlord to adhere by.

Awful experience with Jupiter Properities!!! Terrible attitude to the tenants no customer service skills at all. The house when we moved in was uncleaned from the previous tenants and we had to clean it ourselves. The cleaner then turned up 1 week later.
A lot of repairs that needed doing in the house that we repeatedly asked to be fixed and nothing was done. Really poor experience!!! Not interested in the tenants only the money.
Terrible company that rips people off.

Poor landlord, homophobia no health safety fire alarm did not work

There has been mould since i moved in to this student property and now 8 months in they have only just dealt with the kitchen but not the bathrooms. There are also rats. In addition to these (the most shocking facts) they are overall very incompetent and rude to deal with. STUDENTS BEWARE!

From a fellow student
