AVOID

Hi Karen,

Thank you for the review,

The item purchased was not a fan or fan controller.
The unit is question was ironically a Air Quality Sensor for detecting bad odours,
This was never able to control the speed of a fan as you had required when purchasing.

I agreed to accept it back for a refund if in perfect salable condition, When received back, it was covered in greasy finger marks and stinks of old cooking fat, The plastic sleeve and cardboard box also now has the same odour and therefore not in a salable condition,
This is why it has been rejected and returned to you at our expense,

An example of quality in product, knowledge and services

Following a call to a very helpful sales team, i was told if i ordered within next half hour, the fan would arrive the following day - Ordered as advised (cheeper than the one i was enquiring about) and yes some 20 hours later it had arrived and was installed. Great team guys and thanks again for your professionalism and great direction. A big win is using a really good delivery service also which kept me informed of delivery time which was bang on earliest of the time slot.

We were able to keep trading with minimum interruption.

unprofessional ignorant

unprofessional ignorant - stay clear!

Lots of promises, lots of emails, lots of phone calls but never ever delivered on their commitments and ignored my emails. Perhaps the most ignorant and unprofessional outfit I have ever encountered - in particular, Iain (who they label as some technical guru - more like the invisible 'I can't be arsed' expert) is not fit to be employed anywhere based on my apalling experience ...YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!

I even wrote an official complaint about their disgraceful service and ignorant behaviour - that was 28th June and surprise (yes you guessed it) they also ignored the complaint ... still waiting for that response but certainly not holding my breath.

The irony is after ignoring my emails, complaint and telephone calls for the best part of 3 months, within 24 hours of me writing a review on Trustpilot they're in contact with Trustpilot alleging I may be a fake!!!

Anyway I sent evidence which will prove that I am genuine and my review is still alive.

Wow - Trustpilot has become a great advocate for highlighting honest consumers' experiences, importantly, focusing both on the amazing services we've received as well as the appalling and abusive experiences, such as justfans.co.uk!

Keep up the good work Trustpilot!

We appreciate all feedback, but we were unable to find any record of you as a customer with the email address provided. We've also checked our systems and regret to find no emails received from you sent to ian although we did find one in the sales@ address. It's possible they may have gone into a spam folder, or there may have been a typo in the address. Also the original staff member you dealt with on the phone has now left the company which makes it difficult to ascertain the original inquiry.
While we understand your frustration, we believe the review may be based on a misunderstanding, as we have no record of you or your query. If you could provide us with more details, such as a different email address or an order number, we would be happy to look into this further.

Echo of poor service referred to in previous reviews

Fan seemed ideal with a high extraction rate however arrived with a chip in the corner and fitting (I'm an electrician) was tricky due to the design. Emails appear to be ignored so in summary of anything goes wrong with a purchase from this company they are missing in action. Shameful really cannot see them lasting in business very long

Do NOT use this dreadful company. Appalling Customer Service and Fan

My electrician purchased the Silent 300 CHZ Design PLUS Extractor Fan in November 2024. From the start it never worked as described, not starting during a shower even though the bathroom was full of steam, then coming on in the middle of the night when the room was clear and no humidity.

It was returned on December 19th with an extensive email explaining the issue. Just fans said they would check it immediately and return it before Christmas.
Despite several emails the fan was only returned on January 13th 2025 with the comments 'Items has beed returned under warranty. Unit has been tested and no fault found. To be returned to customer'.

Upon opening the box the fan was found to have been cracked with pieces of plastic broken.
Despite several emails we have received no replies and are left with a fan which is not fit for purpose.

no refund

we went through three fans in two years each time I had to purchase a new whilst one was being tested this took over 4 months each time s&p there supplier admitted they are faulty so they refunded just fans but we had to wait months for our money back, this time I'm waiting 4months for my money back I spoke to an employee wich said they will not deal with me again if this goes faulty although there is a 2 yr warranty on these he was rude and told me I'm a one of ( not by reviews I'm not) and that they sell over a thousand of these a month (I bet inland revenue will say different) if you sell that amount why can't you pay me my money back I
he was very abrupt and put the phone down on me, I have email ceo of the company and was told I will be paid tomorrow that was a month ago I will never recommend this company they sell faulty goods and will blame your installation my next move is trading standards and the county court absolute joke of a company avoid at all costs

Incredibly good customer service

I had a technical issue with an order I had received. I was quickly put through to Jaya Stevenson who was able to resolve my issue immediately.
The customer service received from this member of staff was excellent.
I look forward to using Just Fans for future orders.

Terrible customer service

Terrible customer service, tried to return a fan which had been supplied with an incorrect wiring diagram, this was proven when their Technical team had told our engineer to wire it differently to the diagram supplied. Luke was very rude and insinuated that we were lying about the conversation we'd had and that no refund would be processed. AVOID THIS COMPANY.

Great customer service

Great customer service. I recently bought a filter box which sadly arrived damaged. I reach out to JustFans customer service via an email and they sorted out a collection of the damaged box and sent out a replacement one. The new filter box arrived in perfect condition with improving packaging from the previous one. Overall I am really happy.

Trying to get a credit for a fan which…

Trying to get a credit for a fan which was returned has proved impossible. They acknowledge it has been returned, but give the excuse that the guy in accounts is off ill, (what for nearly 2 months) and sales cannot do the payment. One wonders how they are paying their suppliers (or are they)? Do not use this company unless you liked getting ripped off. However they have picked the wrong guy as filing a small claims court action.

+ Response/communication by email ( bank payment from the Netherlands had a slight issue but solved correctly !)

Super efficient

Terrible service

Terrible service, customer service and aftercare is not a strong point! they advise you incorrectly when designing the systems, and constantly ignore emails, i managed to speak to Ian once, however when requesting to speak to him again he was always away and had just left the office, trying to get a refund is extremely difficult. Customer service is shocking. Save yourself the agro and buy from another company.

Ordered items just to find out after…

Ordered items just to find out after they were out of stock.
Lack of communication over this issue.
Items actually much cheaper elsewhere online and post free on an order the size of the order I placed.
Had to wait in for the second part of the order.
TOTAL WASTE OF TIME AND MONEY.
A length of 150mm ducting was faulty & poor quality.
The replacement ducting arrived in even worse condition. The inside was very rough, had a small hole and would restrict airflow clog with cooking vapours. The replacement ducting was even worse inside & is more oval than round. This is after I requested it to be thoroughly inspected before dispatch. Iv had to wait in for delivery and reschedule. TOTAL WASTE OF MY TIME. Time is money. Could actually have saved money had I placed separate orders with different suppliers for my total basket with Just Fans even taking delivery cost into account. Lets see how my partial refund goes.

Dont credit warranty replacements.

I purchased a very expensive MEV Spider extraction fan unit that broke within 2 years of installation from Just Fans. They said they would replace it under warranty. But first, I would need to purchase the new unit, and then they would credit me once they received the defective unit back. I sent it back more than 6 months ago, they even signed for receiving it. But they cant work out how to credit me, when I ring them I just get passed between departments... sales to accounts, back to sales, back to middle-management... its a real-life "computer says no" moment. I've sent countless emails and they still wont give my money back. It seems they are too disorganised for the size of company and dont have correct procedures in place for crediting funds after a warranty replacement. Currently I have paid for it twice and am giving up trying to retrieve my money as its like bashing my head against a wall.
