Mixed feeling about service

Mixed feeling about service I have received today. Shop was accomodating with me after I have missed my appointment time so this is +. When I have booked appointment I have stated that I am interested in rentals but no one contacted me to say that this is not provided by service and website was not mentioning that. So when I have arrived I was very "nicely" surprised. Anyway as I leave on business trip and had to provide instrument ASAP I have asked what are the options. The advise given by the seller was limited no recommendations given (Seller read instruments available from the website) or suggestions only I had to ask for those direct myself( and I am new to flutes). Wrong instrument was brought so had to wait a little bit more. Eventually I have chosen my instrument but I was not able to buy it as this was a pre-owned instrument and I was told something was wrongly entered in system so they could not sell it - COMPUTER SAYS NO. So I have ended up buying another new instrument as I had no time to wait day or 2 and no other alternatives. Although to the defense of the shop seller has offered me 5% discount for the mess. In total I would say not the level of service I expected from musical instruments shop. When I was buying my Piano in Bluthner center I was given explanation about instruments and differences, suggestions and I was able to try those to hear sound so I have asked seller if they would be able to demonstrate sound he said no this is not possible. Anyway we have our instrument now but hope center will note my comments for improvement of customer service.

Appalling Customer Service

I made a click and collect order last week and despite it saying confirmation to collect would be sent within 2 hours, hours later I was still chasing them.

I made another click and collect order on Saturday as I was going to their repair shop today and thought I’d collect at the same time. I went to the shop this morning and said I had a click and collect order that I had to collect. I went to the repair shop and on my way out, the girl had my order but reprimanded me for asking for my click and collect order even though I hadn’t received the collection email. I explained that I had ordered it on Saturday and as I knew I was coming to the shop today. She proceeded to tell me not to ever do that again as that she had to specially get someone to get my order!

I am shocked and appalled with their service and will definitely NOT be returning.

Regarding your order placed last week. Our system is showing that you placed an order on 14 September at 9.40am, and we emailed you to let you know that it was ready for collection at 11.34am, (just!) within our stated 2 hour timeframe. If you didn’t receive this email at that time (give or take a minute or two), this is a cause of concern for us, and I would be grateful if you would contact me so I can investigate further. Regarding the order you placed on Saturday, I am inclined to agree that we could have handled this better. No-one wants to feel reprimanded when visiting a shop, and we certainly do not want that atmosphere in ours!

In our defence, for what it is worth, our online orders department had been closed for three days due to the bank holiday, and the team came in yesterday morning to a mountain of orders. The reason we have a 2-hour turnaround on Click and Collect orders is because we pick all orders before doing any processing; Click & Collect and Priority Delivery orders are picked first so they can get processed first. However with such a colossal amount of picking to do, our mail order team had picked but not yet processed your order, and were still marching around the shop picking hundreds more items! They would have had your order ready to collect well within our stated 2-hour window, however they hadn’t done so when you were in the shop first thing. We did process your order there and then at 10.10 - where I would tentatively suggest that some other shops may have told you to come back at 11.30 - but we should have done this more graciously, and I apologise that this wasn’t the case.

I hope you can understand why your order wasn’t ready for you at 10am, and why our staff may have been feeling the pressure, even if not handling the situation in the best way on this occasion. I can assure you this is not usual, as testified to by our many 5 star reviews, and sincerely hope that you will give us another chance so we can demonstrate this to you.

Sorry for just 2 stars, I’m usually impressed with the service from just flutes. When I received the fife it appeared to have been used. The thread around the joint seemed quite old and appeared to need replacing, plus it isn’t tuned to Bb, it’s in B. The tuning issue isn’t really a problem as I will only be playing for my own pleasure. When I phoned to explain this the Lady I spoke to, didn’t ask who I was, she suggested that it was out of tune because of the joint and asked me to send photos of the problem. The actual joint was a quick fix with the use of a small length of jewellers tape. It’s not that the beautiful little flute is half a tone sharp. Perhaps I’m a bit over sensitive but at best the young lady, bless her, didn’t seem qualified to advise and seemed more interested in leaving the ball on my court. I will still come to you when I want a new flute, but If there is an issue l can’t deal with myself, I should really ask too speak to another staff member.

Best place for flutes

I recently bought a second hand Arista flute from Just Flutes. The whole buying experience could not have been better. Rod was polite, friendly, knowledgable and gave me an excellent choice of instruments to compare, and the unhurried time and space to play them at my leisure. Nearly a month on and I’m delighted with my purchase - it’s a fabulous flute! Many thanks Rod!

I ordered many things for different…

I ordered many things for different instruments. There was a sale on and I got A LOT of music for my money! I also got a tin whistle with book and cd and what an easy fun instrument! Just flutes is the only place I go for music and they have consistently been an awesome shop where customer service is amazing. I shall be back for more soon no doubt. Thank you just flutes!

Beautiful English Oak Native American Flute.

I recently bought a Native American Flute, the flute arrived well within the specified arrival date.
The workmanship is 1st class and it sounds beautiful.
Overall a pleasant experience from "Just Flutes"
I shall definitely buying another flute from them in the future.
