Communication & customer service issues
A recent visit to Kwik Fit revealed a cracked alloy rim and to repair it they recommended these guys to us.
JWR were obviously very busy and slow to respond our initial messages but removal and collection of the damaged wheel was done the same day and the following day they told us the wheel was ready to be refitted, which was great.
However, having initially said that we could pay for the work by bank transfer, they insisted on cash once the repair was complete without explaining why.
We rarely carry cash anymore (and certainly not hundreds of pounds) so had we known they were going to insist on cash, we would have looked elsewhere as this was really inconvenient for us.
When Jamie refitted the wheel we complained about being mislead and his response was not good, telling us that he could demand "payment in any form he liked" and that he was "doing us a favour" by accepting our business.
However, he did later apologise for this and explained that he had been under a lot of pressure and hadn't had time to communicate with us effectively.
How well they've repaired the wheel I guess time will tell but the standard of service we received was only OK on this occasion.
