AVOID AVOID K5 COMMUNICATIONS AKA FIREHORSE GROUP LTD

This company is completely untrustworthy.

I was mis-sold a contract with significant hidden costs that were never disclosed at the point of sale, including a leasing charge of over £290 per month. There is no chance I would have agreed to this had I been given full and honest information.

On top of that, I was clearly told that the 'introductory' credit would last for the full duration of the contract. This has turned out to be false. When I queried it at the time, I was reassured in writing that it was simply a review point, which was clearly misleading.

Billing has also been inconsistent and unexplained. The service charge stated in the contract does not match what has actually been invoiced, and despite raising this multiple times, no proper explanation has been given.

The worst part is the complete lack of accountability. Responses take weeks, and when they finally arrive, they avoid addressing the real issues. It feels like deliberate deflection rather than any attempt to resolve a very serious complaint.

This is not just poor service, it’s a complete failure of transparency and professionalism.

I strongly warn anyone considering this company to definitely rethink. They are scammers and very poorly ran

Fantastic service from K5

Fantastic service from K5! Couldn't fault them. They took great care in discovering our requirements and tailoring a package to meet our needs. The roll out was seamless, the engineers were great and very informative. They even tidied up some cabling that we had in the office. Training was thorough and the phones are a great improvement!! Overall a stress free, easy experience. Great team at K5, thanks guys.

I can’t speak highly enough of K5…

I can’t speak highly enough of K5 Communications. From day one they’ve been consistently available, responsive, and genuinely helpful. Any time I’ve had a question or needed support, they’ve always been at the end of the phone, ready to sort things quickly and properly.

What really stands out is how easy they make everything. There’s no chasing, no feeling like you’re just another number, and no confusion, just clear advice and fast solutions. Compared to previous providers I’ve dealt with, the difference is night and day. It’s honestly been a delight working with them.

Reliable, professional, and a pleasure to deal with, I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend K5 Communications to anyone looking for a provider they can actually trust and rely on.

K5communications & Grenke

This company and K5communications did not provide clear communications as to what the agreement was. Sales reps were pushy to get a sale as it was late but also assured us that are contract with BT would be paid off and we would only be paying no more then what we were paying with BT.

The setup was also a not a smooth experience and we had to get router replacements and phone replacements. Trying to get the billing department or tech support at both companies was to difficult.

We are a small business with 5 employees and the communications between Grenke and K5 is awful. We didn't know anything about Grenke until payment had left out bank account.

Do not use Grenke or K5 they shouldn't be trusted.

Scamming company

A Warning to Business Owners: K5 Communications & Grenke Leasing

I’m sharing this to help other business owners avoid the situation we’ve found ourselves in.

When we joined K5 Communications, the owner of the company assured us they would handle the cancellation of our previous provider and manage the crossover. This turned out to be untrue — we were forced to arrange this ourselves. We were also told that any cancellation fees would be covered by K5; this never happened.

K5 installed the internet service, and for the first six months everything appeared to work extremely well. However, the service then suddenly stopped functioning. We later discovered that K5 had been relying on connectivity from our previous provider. Once that provider disconnected us, the service collapsed entirely. From that point onward, we were unable to achieve speeds higher than 10 Mbps, rendering the system effectively unusable for our business.

Despite repeated attempts to resolve the issue, K5 Communications became completely unresponsive.

The situation was compounded by their finance partner, Grenke Ltd. A secondary agreement lacked transparency around how it related to the hardware and service being supplied. When the equipment and service failed, Grenke did not investigate whether the product had been mis-sold or was fit for purpose — instead, they moved directly to debt collection threats.

In our experience, this arrangement appears to function as follows:
K5 supplies the equipment and service, while Grenke enforces the finance agreement, regardless of performance or suitability.

Takeaway: If transparency, accountability, and fair treatment matter to you, proceed with extreme caution — or steer clear of both companies altogether.

A Toxic Partnership of Mis-selling and Zero Accountability"

If I could give a minus star I WOULD!

I was sold a financial package by K5 Communications for equipment that turned out to be completely unfit for purpose. Despite numerous attempts to resolve the technical issues with K5, they ignored all correspondence.

To make matters worse, I discovered that K5 had entered me into a secondary financial agreement with Grenke Ltd without providing clear transparency on how these two contracts were linked. When the equipment failed and I was forced to cancel, Grenke’s response was appalling.

Instead of investigating a clear case of mis-selling or technical failure, Grenke refused to listen to our concerns. Their only mode of "customer service" was to immediately jump to threats of debt collection and court proceedings. They have shown zero interest in the fact that the product they are financing is useless.

This is an unprofessional, predatory way to treat a client. If you value your business's financial health and your own sanity, stay far away from K5 Communications and Grenke.

Good to see people are now realising…rip off merchants !

Good to see people are now realising what this company do I’m paying more than double for a phone system than I was previously I’m tied into a contract with Grenelk Leasing who obviously are linked with K5 charging obscene amount for leasing the telephone system and the K5 bill you for the calls you cannot get hold of anyone to talk to and they just tell lie after lie ! Samantha the owner can't be trusted, Avoid this business would be my advice but don't just take my advice, go ahead and read all the other bad reviews. K5 has lost me money by my equipment not working, I am also owed money by them which they still haven't paid, their staff don't seem bothered either. Rumors are they are in trouble also and can't seem to keep their staff which is why lots of issues are not getting resolved. As a business I need a stable company that I can rely on and K5 is not it. Be careful other businesses, you don't want to end up loosing money like we have.

AVOID at all costs

Initially we had a fantastic experience when signing up with K5 in the summer, and overall the system works very well how however since joining them it has become impossible to speak with anyone regarding anything to do with our account, everything has to be done via email which either takes 2/4 days on average for a response assuming they reply which is becoming less frequent.

They “bought” us out of our old provider by paying our early termination fees, however 4 months in and they have yet to do that while taking money from us monthly to “cover” that cost. Our old provider is now chasing us for payment and threatening legal action, while they keep promising to make.

We have also received a notification from their direct debit provider informing us the payment they intend to take in the next couple of days is significantly greater than amount on the bill with no explanation and no response from them by phone or email it’s impossible to work out if this is intentional or a mistake.

I would avoid this company at all costs which is a shame as their product works well.

We have been with K5 for just over 2 years now and cannot fault them. Their drive and customer service is unmatched! Always available to talk to and such friendly staff. By far the best company we have been with. Would 100% recommend this company! ⭐

Absolutely shocking and disgusting…

Absolutely shocking and disgusting service would not recommend at all!! Stay clear!! We are owed hundreds of pounds no communication and a very poor system which hardly works which means our business is suffering greatly. No resolution in sight either.

DO NOT SIGN UP WITH K5!!!

Very worrying the way that this company is handling the situation. We signed up when they had all good reviews and the equipment and install was good. But the contract is not being stuck to by them and they owe us hundreds of pounds in unpaid credits that were promised. AVOID - DO NOT SIGN UP WITH THEM!!

Avoid this company! Customer service non-existent

Sales team very good but as others have stated, once you're locked in to a contract they're not interested.
I'm not sure if it's complete incompetence or indifference. The result is the same. Issues are too many to mention here. AVOID this company.

We originally signed up with BT for a private rented leased line phone and voice cloud service, and everything seemed fine. We are small company. We were paying around £451 with BT. Then, we were introduced to a new offer from K5, claiming we could get the same services for £391, promising amazing savings. The deal included brand-new phones, and everything looked great at first.
However, just a few months later, additional charges started appearing bit by bit. Some of these we were able to cancel, but now, 12 months later, the so-called "credit" for Support & Maintenance (£115) is no longer valid because it was only valid for a year.
This is clearly a scam. They sell you discounted products, but over time, those discounts disappear, and you end up paying more than you did initially.
They also promised a 1Gbps broadband speed in the email, but once we signed up, we discovered it was limited to only 200Mbps or pay extra.
Do yourself a favour—DO NOT go with them. It’s a complete waste of energy, time, and money. They sweet-talk you into the deal, and once you're locked in, everything changes. Total waste of time! Moment the contact is over we will be gone! Can't wait
