Been a pleasure having David and his team from David Kane and Sons Ltd at our house recently. From first contact, David was a reliable communicator, taking time to assess roof with a drone and share images of problem areas before supplying a precise quote. David then took on a tricky chimney/roof leak repair which other roofing businesses had failed to resolve. Impressed with the way he and his team went to work. Would happily use again.

David Kane and Sons were a pleasure to work with. I contacted them in April 2024 regarding a roof leak at our business in Guildford and as they were local, came out the same day to have a look for a quote, using his drone to look what was going on at the top of the building. The quote was put on hold for a while pending a budget but when I contacted them again in the Nov of 24, David was able to give me a start date within 2 weeks of finalising details. No question was too much for him regarding the roof works, he kept me updated all the time of what was going on, showed me pictures of everything they were doing and explained extra problems found along the way (it is a very old Grade II listed building). He also sent me a report of the works carried out and completed, with before and after pictures. A very friendly company to deal with and David was lovely too.

From giving the quote all the way through to completing the work, David was very polite, helpful and above all very knowledgeable. I'd recommend him and his company to anyone.

Amazing service from David and professional work from his team – helpful and friendly people. I suspected roof problems due to damp in a bedroom along wall/ceiling joint and had three estimates to investigate these and repair and fix over-spilling gutters. David was the only one who used a ladder to inspect the roof, the others either gave a false diagnosis (as it turned out) or wanted to do additional work. Both were pushy. David provided a fair estimate for repairing the problems he found, indicating that other problems might be identified once access was available from scaffolding, which was exactly what I wanted. The work was carried out on time, efficiently, with oversight throughout and to a high standard and I cannot recommend Kane and Sons enough.

David’s firm was one of many who inspected the roof of my bungalow but the only one who impressed me in terms of competence, presentation and straightforwardness.

While they were not the cheapest, they were not the most expensive. They undertook the work at the beginning of January and were blessed with a fortnight of good weather. From start to finish there was oversight of the work and consideration given to our lifestyle. A temporary repair was made pending work on the project beginning. Scaffolding was carefully erected and care was taken with the property overall. David’s presence was regular and attentive to our needs.
There was an absence of loud radio and a respectful approach. Follow-up was good.

In all, an operation I recommend.

Provided a quote with clear terms and conditions soon after the request.
Team arrived and completed the roof repair on time. Also explaned why there was a leak and how it would be repaired.
Repair tested after heavy rains, no further leaks.

David Kane and his team carried out maintenance work on our roof, and also fitted new facias, soffits and guttering. They communicated well with us, and did a very good, professional job. We would not hesitate to use them again.

Having been given the go ahead they arrived at the agreed time and date.

With minimal fuss they replaced the tired old gutters and leaky downpipes on my 4 bedroom house. They cleared everything up and took the old stuff away.

A couple of months later one of the gutters was overspilling badly. I phoned David and he came out very quickly to check the job. The guttering and downpipes fitted were fine but a plug of moss, twigs and leaves had blocked the top of the downpipe. David removed the blockage and everything worked perfectly again.
