I had an excellent previous experience with Kim Kim travel on a trip to Japan in 2023, deserving of 5 stars. Therefore had no hesitation in choosing them again for this trip to Vietnam and Cambodia. However I was disappointed with the service provided by the travel agency/representative in Vietnam. There was poor communication and very delayed responses. I felt some of my earlier questions were being abruptly brushed off. At one point I had to contact Kim Kim head office to facilitate a response which I had waited for well over a week. After this interaction, the communication did significantly improve, and we had no further stressful issues.
The accommodation booked for us was of a lower standard than expected.
However I would give 5 stars to the local guides and drivers who were pretty amazing.
Our guide Ha in Hanoi and Ninh Binh was very knowledgeable and very quickly figured out our interests and revealed exactly the Vietnam we wanted to experience.
Our guide Mrs Vannary in Cambodia was efficient, kind, experienced, knowledgeable, and flexible, tailoring our experience to our interests.
Halong bay experience was very good, small ship experience was great, and guide was fun.
All drivers and transportation was excellent.

I had a great experience with this tour company. Everything ran smoothly from start to finish, and the whole process felt very well organized. I would happily book with them again.

We use kimkim to plan a trip to the Azores, Portugal. We had so much fun! The process of planning was so simple. We opted to plan via online chats and notes in their portal, but there was also the option to set up a time for a phone call/video chat. While on the trip, we had consistent communication with the team. There were only two hiccups, which was incredible considering we had so many activities planned over our 10 day trip. One wasn’t the agency’s fault, and the other was a small miscommunication on timing. Our agent handled both of them very well and we were very pleased with the outcome. We found kimkim from a recommendation of a friend, and are definitely looking forward to planning our next trip through them!

This is my fourth trip with KimKim and my experience has been great. Every trip has been seemless. Will continue to use them as long as my experience continues to be the way it has been… which is fantastic!

From start to finish our trip was seamless. Starting with Melvin, our trip organizer to all the lodges, private guides,

Great budget friendly, easy to use travel agency site that made our trip to Morocco 10 times less intimidating! The hotels they booked outdid themselves and activities were so immersive and personal! Would totally reccommend to anyone looking to visit somewhere outside their comfort zone!

Planning a trip with KimKim was such a good decision. From our very first interaction, the process was incredibly personalized and geared to our interests and budget. Our planner Hoa was detailed and patient as she curated the perfect trip for us.

The trip itself was truly amazing, and several aspects stood out.
Pom—our local guide in Bangkok—was exceptional. He met us at the airport and accompanied us for much of our time in the city. His knowledge of Thailand’s culture and history added so much depth to every stop, and he somehow always knew the hidden spots we never would’ve found on our own.

The temple visits were unforgettable: stunning, peaceful, and a powerful way to immerse ourselves in Thai culture. The food tours in both Bangkok and Phuket were another highlight, giving us a chance to try local flavors we probably never would’ve discovered without guidance. Both guides ability to lead us to tiny eateries and help us order the best dishes made those tours truly special.

We also loved the floating market, the James Bond-style boat ride, and the train market—each one fun, colorful, and although some were very tourist oriented, uniquely Thai. And the Bangkok night market delivered all the energy, sights, and food we could’ve hoped for.

The only things we would change would be to allow ourselves a little more time. Even 1 extra day would have allowed us to have a less tiring pace, at least in Bangkok. We are also seasoned travelers so we felt that some parts could have been more on our own with just transportation provided. For a less experienced traveler, the personalized guides that are provided would probably be a godsend as they make sure every detail is taken care of so we didn't have to navigate language barriers or be worried about instructions, even at the airport.

Lastly, we want to give a big thank-you to Hoa for all the work she put into planning this trip. She helped us build an incredible itinerary, checked in with us daily, and was always ready to assist with anything we needed. Her attention and care made the trip the success it was, and we’re grateful for everything she did to make it unforgettable.

Overall, our experience was exceptional, and we would definitely use KimKim again.

We had a great experience using KimKim's team! Many options were made available once we described what type of trip we wanted. It was easy to make changes and replies were quick in country. We planned a 7 day trip with 3 cities. Marina was great!

We had a multiple city/area family vacation in Mexico planned and they were so helpful! From planning, communication, and any questions we had. I have already recommended them again and will use them in the future!

Here is my honest and objective review:

1. Places Visited – 5/5 ⭐

Majid designed our itinerary based on our interests, and his recommendations were perfect. We absolutely loved Chefchaouen and Essaouira for their relaxing atmosphere, while Tangier, Fez, and Casablanca offered wonderful cultural and sightseeing experiences. Every city had its own charm, and the pace of the trip felt very comfortable.

2. Hotels – 4.5/5 ⭐

The hotel choices were superb overall. Of course, each property has its own strengths and weaknesses, but we were generally very happy with the quality, comfort, and service.

We did have a mishap at Palais Faraj in Fez, where we had a very uncomfortable experience at the Hammam. However, this issue was entirely related to the hotel’s poor oversight and management, and Majid had absolutely nothing to do with it. In fact, he was very understanding and supportive when we mentioned it.

3. Car and Driver – 5/5 ⭐

This was the highlight of the trip. The car was always clean, comfortable, and air-conditioned, making our long drives easy and pleasant. Our driver, Yousef, was excellent—friendly, helpful, honest, and an extremely safe driver. He was always prompt, professional, and responsible throughout the entire trip. Thank you Yousef for making our trip memorable.

4. Responsiveness and Communication – 5/5 ⭐

Majid was quick to respond to all our questions before and during the trip. His guidance in planning the itinerary was thoughtful and well-organized. He clearly pays attention to details and made sure everything went smoothly.

The trip offered very good value for the quality of service, accommodations, and experiences we received. Everything felt fair and transparent.

We had an amazing time in Morocco. Majid once again exceeded our expectations and made our journey memorable and stress-free. In fact, we are already thinking of coming back next year — and we will definitely use Majid’s services again.

We found kimkim Travel online and decided to try them to plan a trip to Morocco. Majid worked with us closely to craft our fun itinerary in Morocco, asking us many questions and truly customizing for us. He was so responsive and helpful, and we are so grateful he connected us to Khalid, who was our amazing tour operator. From picking up up in Tangier, driving us all over the countryside to the coast and to many cities and gorgeous sights, to our trip end in exciting Marrakech, Khalid was patient, kind, and very enthusiastic. His love for Morocco really shines and he's a wealth of knowledge himself. We enjoyed our conversations and learned a lot, and Khalid also arranged many fun and interesting individual tours for us in each locale. We hope to have Khalid as our guide again!

Going through kimkim for this trip was the absolute best decision! It was such a relief to not have to worry about finding taxis/ transportation when arriving from island to island or buying tickets. I have traveled with a large group on a tour and alone and I think going through kimkim combines the pros of both without the cons. We had an itinerary and transportation without having to keep up with a huge group or have to keep an itinerary that had activities we didn’t want to do. It was all personalized! My only complaint was that I did ask if the time of year we were traveling was still warm enough for the beaches before hand and was told yes, but unfortunately it was too chilly/ rainy when we arrived! But obviously they can’t control the weather!

We have a true 5 star review for Kim Kim. Joao set up a perfect itinerary for our wants and needs. He was always prompt getting back to us with questions and changes before our departure and during our trip. The Trip Plans app was thorough and detailed so we knew exactly where to go with maps and meet up spots. The restaurant recommendations were great and the "places we may want to check out in our free time" helped and the maps to each place made it easy to navigate. Joao also gave us excellent recommendations based on his knowledge of Portugal and the historic sites. He was easy to talk with and gave us thorough info on the sites and the history behind them. He was pleasant, paced our outings with sensitivity to my bad knees and told some funny stories of his experiences growing up in Portugal. Joanna was our guide for our half day in Porto. She was extremely knowledgeable, taking us to must see sites and giving us in-depth info on the way. She even stopped when I needed a break for my knees (and gelato). Thank you again and we will definitely keep Kim Kim on our radar for our next European experience!!!
