Most reviewers were let down by their experience overall. Many customers expressed significant dissatisfaction with the products, finding them to be of poor quality and not worth the high price. A recurring issue was the company's subscription model, which many found difficult to manage and cancel. Customers reported issues with automatic enrollment in recurring shipments and unexpected charges. After checking my bank statement I…

After checking my bank statement I noticed Kind Science had charged me an additional $108.85 that I did not authorize. I called my bank to put a stop payment but because I used my debit card that was not an option. I was able to get ahold of Kind Science and cancel a subscription that I did not know I had signed up for but unfortunately it was to late to get my $108.85 back. Beware I do not like shady business deals and this is shady. I hope Ellen (or whoever is in charge of this business) are happy with themselves. Taking advantage of people is some I would not be proud of. GREEDY GREEDY GREEDY!

I haven't tried these products and never will. The CONSTANT advertising and commercials with Ellen is a real turn off. Now if I knew she was donating the profits to a legitimate charity I might change my perspective. How much money does this lady need??

Shady business model and poor customer service

I am extremely frustrated by the poor customer service and opaque subscription model.

At the time I took the initial offer, it was not at all clear that I would be charged $94/mo for a 3 month supply. I did not get a confirmation email on my initial order, and I did not receive a notice of billing and shipment on the first re-supply. I only found out about it from my credit card statement.

When I tried to log into my so called "account," the password reset button didn't work. When I called the overseas customer service line, it was hard to understand the representative and she kept trying to sell me more stuff instead of canceling the "subscription" I said I never intended to get.

Now in order to get a refund of $94, I have to waste my time sending back this shipment which they say is already in the mail, despite never notifying me it was coming in the first place.

I am surprised that Ellen DeGeneres would attach her name to a product with such misleading business practices and poor customer service. I also think they should use US based customer service. How desperate are they to make a buck?

1) Not worth the money and time

1) When I placed order, I specifically said ONE order only. A month later I received a full price order so cancelled again. Luckily my bank notified me of the payment. 2) I haven't seen any significant results from the product. 3) Customer service is difficult.

I like Ellen and felt I could trust her…

I like Ellen and felt I could trust her TV ad so I ordered the product for mother’s day and was charged $57.00 for a product that I am not even satisfied with. Yet, got a new package with a new charge yesterday! I called the “customer service” twice. The second person was very moody and short! Turns out they “subscribed me for a monthly program “without my permission”. Very confusing as I am not even satisfied with the product in the first place. The website claims miners -back guarantee for 60 days! bot no sign of any of that. The very impatient customer service agent gave me an address to shop the second package and wait until the receive it and “credit my account”, Hopefully!😔Dear Ellen, this is not what I had expected from you or your company. I am very disappointed and disappointed.

58 minutes ago, I ordered their products. Then, I found these awful reviews on TP so i contacted them to cancel my order. They would only cancel my subscription but not my order, stating it was already in transit. Preposterous! I've saved the chat with them so, we'll see if they honor their statement to me. Stay tuned. I'll update this review as necessary.

This company is a total scam

This company is a total scam. They made me a member without my consent. When I called and asked them to cancel, they stated it was cancelled and sent me a “ cancellation confirmation” with a total balance due of $183.15. I asked them to send me an email that shows $0.00 and they refused to send the email. As of right now, I’ve called them twice and they are not generating a confirmation to show I owe them nothing. I had skin reactions to the products and also never subscribed to receive regular shipments to begin with. I’ve never been scammed this much before.

If I could give 0 stars I would

If I could give 0 stars I would. Product is no better then drug store options. I paid and received starter kit. Before I really had time to try received $92 bill for first of 3 payments on next kit. I immediately cancelled the subscription and advised I'd refuse shipment. I did not cancel the payment of $92 but did refuse shipment when arrived. They are still trying to bill me for $185 after 7 months. Nightmare!!!!

One star because 0 stars isn't…

One star because 0 stars isn't available. The website is a scam to begin with and has come up on several web blocks as having pups and malware. That should tell you something. I ordered from phone from a TV commercial. I was told and read that I had 30 days to cancel the subscription, which I did, and received an email confirmation. Then another charge comes through. I called and was told they couldn't cancel the order, so I cancelled again and got another cancellation email. Then! here comes the third charge of even more than the other two. I was told I could return it, and they would make sure I would receive no more product. That makes 3 accounts they opened without my consent. I kept the third order and gave it to me daughter - that was February 2025. Then, I'll be darned, if I didn't get a notice they charged my card $125.73 on May 1, 2025, so I called immediately. Of course, the say they can't cancel the order. I said I am not paying to return what I didn't not order and was told to refuse the package, which I did on May 7, 2025. She also said when they received the product back, they would process the refund. I have been in touch with USPS three times and was told the package was on its way back to Kind Science. It has been 5 days since then, so I called Kind Science today. I was treated very rudely and was told that's not how to return and argued that I wasn't told to refuse the package. I said, well I did and have proof and proof of the charge; and he started telling me he had proof that they did not charge me $125.73, that the charge was $56?? something. I said I'm looking at my card account right now. He said send a picture. I said ok what's the email, he stammered and said something not understandable. I told him they had many complaints at BBB, and I would be next. I said that I would dispute the charge with my bank - he said you can just do that. So, I did and am praying they finalize the dispute.
Kind Science is a scammy website, and dishonest customer service. I would not recommend doing any business with them. The product is just ok, not worth being scammed, lied to, or treated like you're the one lying.

Fast Shipping… from China

I just placed my order last week, it shipped so I went to the tracking. It’s shipping from China. Came here to see if anyone else had their products shipped from China in the event I clicked on a bad link or something, and saw all the reviews about the subscription they didn’t know they signed up for. So I go to the kind science website had to register my account so I’m thinking that perhaps I did click a bad link. Nope! Registered my account and it showed my order shipping from China and another $300 worth of products scheduled to ship within the next couple weeks. WTF!?! I’m usually very careful about reading fine print and nowhere Did I see about signing up for a subscription for that much money. I tried to contact customer service but it’s Sunday night and nobody answered so I will try again in the morning to see if I can stop the extra shipments from coming. Seems real scam-like if you ask me. Why would you send me $300 worth of product when I haven’t even had a chance to try them for any length of time. There should be clear and concise information posted so there’s no mistake what the consumer is getting into. I haven’t even got my products and I’m already disappointed. I’m glad I jumped on here and saw the reviews about the subscriptions. Hopefully, I can stop it.

seen a commercial w/ Ellen D & her wife…

seen a commercial w/ Ellen D & her wife sharing this product, purchase it w/ the promotion discount, so I got two orders one for myself & one for my daughter for a Mother’s Day gift. I noticed packaging delivery was rather low grade & just throw in box, was confused. Then a few weeks later I received a box not knowing I was getting another order, from kind science & I did not know I was getting another order, no email explaining and i checked my account and was charged over $200. Dollars, I was applauded, i don’t like this kind of charging for one not knowing what why and not approving this charge and wondering how many more times are they doing this. I called to cancel and hopefully I will be credited back and now I get a email saying “Sorry to see you go” and said I have a balanced of $400. Plus,
OMG, this is unbelievable. What a Scam of false advertisement. Sorry Ellen D & Wife, I don’t owe you anything & I hope all this matter will be taken care of and clear.

Winner Winner Chicken Dinner

Well I've had trouble with Philosophy, Aveda, and many other skin creams over the past few years. They all have irritated my eyes. I know you shouldn't use them around the eyes, but, I'm lazy and I figure, if they bother my eyes, do I want them on my skin? Saw an advert for KS on TV, so why not. Purchased the Hydrating Cream and I love it! Soft skin, but not sticky. And it doesn't burn my eyes if I'm sweating!

I ordered Kind Science because of a TV ad

I ordered Kind Science based on a commercial by Ellen DeGeneres. I had NO idea that I was signing up for an ongoing subscription. While the products are okay, I am certainly not interested in paying more than $90/month for these products. I called to cancel the deliveries, but I got a run=around from the person on the phone. AND I was charged ANOTHER $90+ on my credit card. I will dispute the charges and report them to the Better Business Bureau.

I should have checked here 1st…

I thought this would be a reputable company since Ellen's name is on it......I am very careful when ordering online as not to accidentally sign up for subscriptions, but this company is slick. Not only was I unknowingly signed up for subscription, but their shipment (after the trial products) is a 3 month supply. When I cancelled my order after that 1st shipment I knew I had to eat that $91.34, but I did not know and was not told that it was a 3month supply And I was charged $91.31 TWO more times!

Product: Did not like the smell, to me it smelled like moldy wood. I gave the products to my mother and she got a rash
