Kiva is an amazing non-profit. By making an initial investment of $25, one is able to choose a deserving borrower from a list covering many different countries. When that loan is paid back, one can offer the same amount to a new borrower and keep the giving going in a kind of chain. By partnering with NGO's in many countries, Kiva identifies worthy projects and individuals in need of financial help to realize their dreams. Being able to help make those projects happen is truly satisfying!

Been lending every month for years. Good website, tells you who you are lending to, easy to up the payments, wide variety of lending opportunities. Makes me very happy.

Banks suck, poverty sucks, people are awesome.

Such an easy, simple way to help other people in places around the world. Dollars may not go that far in my home country, but even a small loan can help a person in a developing country start a business or support a family. Kiva makes it easy to connect with borrowers and find loans that reflect your goals and interests.

I love Kiva’s mission to provide a way for me to support people in places near and far with micro loans. And the payback feature so we can keep re-lending our money is fantastic. I have been participating with Kiva for years and only a few loans were not repaid - it has been a fantastic success in my mind.

From time to time, I have a challenge logging into my KIVA account. I want the organization to be legit. I love the stories that the barrowers tell. I feel good when I think I'm helping someone $25 at a time--which is sometimes a stretch and a sacrifice for me. However, I am not going to worry about KIVA being a scam or not. I know I AM GIVING FOR THE RIGHT REASONS. If the organizers are scammers, they will have to ANSWER TO THEIR GOD and explain why they chose to rip off His/Her people.

Burnt my eyes up trying to fill out the application. I've watched the video like 10 times, and answered the questions about 3 to 5 times. Always some vague error message. Today I tried to change the password. The site would not send the link to my email. Eyes are precious. Hours of wheel spinning, no application. Sites are so dumb. There is no specific date of experience. It's on and off all week. I've already been in touch with the email they provided below. They gave me a phone number for the Kiva in my state. I may visit them in person, if they allow.

Love Kiva! Have loved this platform and community ever since I received a Kiva gift card for Christmas more than a decade ago. I immediately put that gift to use on the platform and fell in love with the ability to make a difference around the globe with women and men who wanted more. It has been an incredible experience to be linked to folks who our only connection is through Kiva.org. Thanks to all at Kiva who make my experience possible.

It is heartwarming to be able to support others around the world who are building their lives. I sense the equality in the human spirit. It is also humbling to realise that any complaint I have about my own life circumstances is nothing more than self indulgence! Yet is is ok to have a grumble from time to time just not to wallow it it! -) Kiva reminds me of the Grace in my life and how important it is to share that Grace as it is given.

I appreciate the updates on the loans I make and I like being able to choose who I loan to. It feels great to be helping people help themselves in a dignified way. And the website makes it very easy for me to reloan the funds when they are paid back.

Kiva is an incredible platform for microlending. Helping people to be self-sustaining through economic opportunity is one of the best gifts you can give. I lend regularly and donate to Kiva to help them sustain this tremendous work around the globe.

I found Kiva 15 or so years ago, i was looking for a way to assist motivated people who had no access to other funding sources. Kiva is excellent at this. Most weeks I make one $25 loan, the cost to me of foregoing one restaurant dinner. It has changed people's lives. Now the interest repayments fund the new loans as a virtuous circle.

I love to read of the aspiration and ambition of people, and of their successes. There have been a few fails along the way, but not many, and not significant. I have failed at times too, so I empathise.

Mostly the outcomes are positive.

Selecting lenders has taught me much about my own values.

Kiva lets me get to know the people I'm lending to by telling me their stories. They are from every corner of the world and that gives me a little insight into places I have known little about. It makes the world a smaller, friendlier place.

I have been a KIVA member for many years and have always been pleased.

I've been using Kiva since 2014. It's been a very positive experience. They periodically offer incentives to double your impact, and allow repaid funds to be "rolled over" to fund new microloans. You can filter potential borrowers to focus on causes, countries, or populations you prefer. They email updates when you receive repayments so you can see your impact on borrowers' lives. I highly recommend Kiva to all those who want to make a difference.

I have been making loans to Kiva for over 5 years (my first loan was a Christmas gift certificate from my brother). I have now made over 15 loans to borrowers in 10 different countries. My original loan has been repaid and then relent multiple times and I have added more loan amounts as well.

Makes it each to loan money to aspiring enterprenours.
Like how they show how much money that person has raised, how much more they need and what they need the money for.

Kiva is an awesome organization that lets people contribute in smaller amounts, yet still truly assist others in need to help themselves. I've contributed to Kiva for many years and it is my favority charity.
