not the best car renting experience I had
Honestly, not the best car renting experience I had. And there are several reasons I would like to mention:
1. The company basically don’t give you a choice but to buy the insurance from them (you can not to buy but then they will take 550€ per every scratch what is yours or not yours).
Car was rented on 3rd party website such as Ryanair car rental and price was very convenient. Insurance what Ryanair offered was 9€ per day. But the company said I should pay 210€ per 5 days what make it 40+€ per days. Scandal and a scheme in my opinion.
2. Day before return the car Emilian messaged me in WhatsApp and we agreed that I come at 14:30. After arrival there were no one in the office and I was rushing to the airport. After calling several times Emilian disrespectfully said but it should be 15:30, WhatsApp messages confirming that it should be 14:30. He didn’t even apologize or try to properly help, every call he was like 5 min and someone will arrive and like this for 20+ minutes.
3 stars still here because his colleague was pretty much nice and helpful guy (sorry, do not know the name). Ale car was fine as well.
Would I like to recommend the company? Probably not, due that scheme of insurance. Feeling scammed tbh.

Amazing experience at OTP airport
Rented a car from Klass Wagen at Henri Coandă International Airport (OTP) and had a really positive experience overall.
The service was kind, quick, and efficient. Alin (if I got the name right) was especially helpful, and we were pleasantly surprised with an upgrade to a more premium car than we originally booked.
Both pick-up and drop-off were smooth and hassle-free. Thanks to the full coverage we chose, the return process was especially easy with no detailed inspection needed.
The only small challenge was coordinating the shuttle upon arrival. We didn’t have phone access, and since there’s no WhatsApp option, it took a bit of effort to get in touch.
Overall, a great experience and I’d definitely rent from them again

Bait and switch
I rented a car with Klass Wagen through a third party online platform. The price online looked great. When I picked up the car, Klass Wagen said they cannot accept any of my cards, since they had the words “debit card” on them and they believed they could not put a reservation on these cards as a deposit. I’ve never had this issue before even though I’ve rented dozens of cars in many different countries. Instead, the company asked me to buy additional insurance to substitute for the deposit … adding up to 4x the original price. I did not like this at all, so I called the booking site help desk. (They did not lift a finger.) I proposed different solutions, like paying the deposit in full and get a refund at the end of the rental, but the guy at the desk said he couldn’t do anything. Since I had no other option and had two tired kids with me, I decided to pay. I felt like I was being scammed. I will never rent with Klass Wagen again. I give them two stars because the guy at the desk remained friendly throughout.

At the time of vehicle collection, our team followed the standard procedure and presented the available options for completing the rental.
The security deposit, as stated in the booking terms, must be blocked on a Visa or Mastercard credit card issued in the main driver’s name. Cards marked as “debit” are not accepted for this purpose, in accordance with our terms and conditions, which are also outlined on our partner’s booking platform.
As an alternative, you were offered the option to proceed with our Klass Total Cover, which reduces liability and allows the rental to continue without a credit card, requiring only a smaller administrative deposit. This option is entirely optional and was presented to ensure you could still proceed with your booking.
We understand that this situation may have been frustrating, especially after a long journey, and we regret any inconvenience caused. However, we would like to emphasize that these requirements are communicated in advance and are applied consistently to all customers.
Additionally, the insurance purchased via the booking platform is a third-party product. While it may cover reimbursement in certain cases, it does not replace the requirement for a security deposit or the conditions for vehicle pickup.

Timisoara Giarmata Airport office is great!
My experience with Klass Wagen depended very much on where I was. The Klass Wagen near the Bucharest Otopeni Airport was AWFUL! DO NOT RENT FROM THERE if you are in Bucharest. They tried to scam me/ coerce me and my wife into purchasing their insurance that they sold at the office. They told us that no other insurance would cover the car—not even third-party insurance, including Booking, which is where we made the reservation. The gentleman who assisted us was pushy and borderline aggressive. CHECK EVERYTHING in/on/around the car because they will charge you a fee. I DO NOT RECOMMEND renting from them. Also, be careful with whatever card you give them. They block around $2300 as insurance and make you use the same card to finish the purchase of the rental.
However, the Klass Wagen office near the Timisoara Giarmata Airport was WONDERFUL. Marius was the one that assisted us and if It were not for him, this review would be a one star. He was very friendly, took care of us in a timely fashion, made sure we understood how the return worked, was not pushy nor aggressive. Great guy. If you are ever at Timisoara Giarmata Airport, renting from Klass Wagen with Marius there will be a great experience.

Be very careful booking with these people I booked three company called economy, bookings, and paid for all the insurance there when I arrived to get my car they said there was no insurance and I had to pay for insurance and they charge me double what I already paid for the car very dishonest place to do business with. I would suggest you use one of the more known car rental agencies.

First of all, on our partner website, it's mentioned if you read their T&C and also information about their insurance, that the insurance from them it's not a protection for the car.
To continue, on your confirmation voucher from them, it's mentioned the deposit you need to block in order to pick up the car.
Once you arrive at the office, you have two options in order to pick-up the car:
1. Deposit option ( mentioned on your voucher);
2. Insurance option ( covers the car and you don't have responsability for it).
After presenting you both of the options, it's up to you which one you would like to choose.
Mentioning all of the above, we are very transparent with every information/details about renting a car with us, that also can be found on our T&C from our website klasswagen.com .
