Rip-off. No insurance no rental
My experience with this company was both disappointing and disgusting from start to finish. When I arrived to collect the car, I was suddenly confronted with a long list of extra terms and conditions that were never mentioned during booking. I was told I needed to film every scratch and mark myself because it was dark and they “might have missed something.” That immediately raised red flags — it felt like they were setting me up to be blamed for damage that wasn’t mine.
I was then told I would have to wash and clean the car before returning it, which is completely unreasonable for a standard rental. On top of that, they tried to push their insurance on me even though I already had my own, and when I declined, I was hit with additional fees that were never disclosed beforehand.
The deposit amount was completely different from what was shown during booking, and I didn’t have enough funds for the unexpected increase. The prices they quoted for even tiny scratches or normal wear and tear were outrageous, and it felt like they were ready to charge customers for anything they could get away with.
The whole situation felt like a rip-off, and I didn’t trust them at all. I cancelled the rental and walked away. I would never use this company again and strongly advise others to avoid them.

For clarity, our full rental policy, terms & conditions, and the security deposit amount are published on the external booking platform used for your reservation. At vehicle collection, we always present two clear rental options so customers can choose the level of protection that best suits them: (1) the standard option that requires a security deposit to be temporarily blocked on the credit card, and (2) the “Risk 0” option, which removes financial liability for potential damages and therefore does not require a deposit.
After every car return, our team conducts a thorough vehicle inspection and updates the damage record accordingly. However, when the standard option is selected, it is the customer’s responsibility to review and document any pre‑existing damage before driving away. We actively encourage customers to photograph and, where possible, film any scratches or marks at pickup; these images are accepted as evidence at return and facilitate an objective, prompt resolution. From our perspective, offering and accepting photographic documentation is a transparency measure designed to protect both the customer and the company, and to prevent disputes at the end of the rental.
The two options also differ slightly in the customer’s obligations regarding vehicle cleanliness upon return. Under the standard (deposit) option, the customer is responsible, among other things, for returning the vehicle in the same level of cleanliness as at pickup.
We hope these explanations provide clarity and help you and other prospective customers assess the situation objectively.

Quick experience with KlassWagen
The process of picking up the car on the first day, immediately after landing at the airport, was quick, efficient, and free of unnecessary delays. On the final day, the company was very accommodating regarding the return time, considering the road closures in Bucharest due to heavy snowfall.
Denis from the office received us with great hospitality. He was professional and addressed every question we raised with helpful guidance
However, the rental company should ensure that drivers are briefed on the nuances of driving in snow, especially when operating an automatic vehicle. We did not receive such guidance, and it was our first time driving in severe snow conditions with the vehicle provided. Basic driving errors could be avoided if the rental company provided safety and operational highlights for winter driving during the snowy season.
