Never again. They lost my luggage on the way there (including a baby stroller!) and the way back. On the way back my flight got 12h delayed and I missed my connection, I got no help on site (alone wit... See more

This is the worst customer experience
This is the worst customer experience. I am a VERY frequent flyet but KLM is a true LOW POINT.
They do not allow me to get my boarding pass digitally, I need to go to the airport and get it, hence Wait FOR AGES. In addition, they push text messages during the night, which I need to check in my carry-on luggage all the time. TRY TO AVOID KLM, this is really an arrogant and VERY bad airline.
KLM Royal Dutch Airlines KLM Royal…
KLM Royal Dutch Airlines KLM Royal Dutch Airlines Shame on you! I have payed my ticket with KLM and flight was cancelled. Since last year I didn't got my refound. No feedback and no answers. On website it is stated that my claim number C-8938384 is resolved but I am still without my refound.
If nobody contact me in short time I will raise this case on social networks and everywhere else where I can ahow to the people what is your way of work. You are to be avoided!
Traumatised and Angry
I am writing to formally express my concern regarding a recent travel experience involving my niece, whose ticket to Tel Aviv was booked through Lastminute.com with KLM. The itinerary included a Kenya Airways flight from JKIA to Amsterdam, followed by a connecting flight to Israel.
Upon arrival at JKIA, my niece successfully checked in her luggage and proceeded to the waiting area. However, she was unexpectedly denied boarding on the Kenya Airways flight to Amsterdam. The airline staff questioned the choice of booking through KLM instead of opting for a direct flight to Tel Aviv, despite the fact that no direct flights from Kenya to Israel are available. My niece presented a valid visa for Israel and a supporting letter from the university she was to attend.
The Kenya Airways representative insisted on consulting with KLM, who subsequently decided to deny her boarding. The rationale provided was a speculative concern that she might not continue her journey to Israel and instead seek asylum in Amsterdam. This decision appears to be based on discriminatory and stereotypical assumptions rather than an objective assessment of her travel documentation and intent.
As a result, my niece was forced to return home, and we had to urgently purchase a new ticket with a different airline at a significantly higher cost. This situation caused considerable distress and financial burden, which could have been avoided had these concerns been addressed at the time of booking rather than at the airport.
I respectfully request a full refund of the original ticket due to the unjust denial of boarding and the resulting inconvenience and additional expenses incurred.
On the KLM website Argentina
On the KLM website Argentina, I never find the price offered as a deal by the airline. Don´t waist your time searching deals. They anounce deals, but never are true.
I bought a return flight from Amsterdam…
I bought a return flight from Amsterdam to Manchester on the weekend of 16th of August. While boarding the flight my boarding pass did not scan neither the hostess or me noticed this. When I got to Manchester Airport the next night for my return I was informed that because it did not scan my seat on the flight was given away and that I had to buy a new ticket for 130 pounds but don't worry you'll get it back. I have been given some run around by them. Believe it or not it's my fault that the scanner was not working properly.
Amsterdam lounge was not marked with…
Amsterdam lounge was not marked with correct lounge numbers . The lounge marked klm was not klm. Lounges 26 and 52 should have been marked klm but they were not.
The Amsterdam lounge if klm when I found them on September 15 were over crowded and there were not 2 seats together. The food was poor quality .
On the other hand my prior Air France lounge was fantastic.
KLM delayed flight several times and they lost the whole planes luggage!!!
We landed on klm flight in Bordeaux
And baggage people at klm said they lost over 100 bags and they don’t know what happened and they only had 2 lost luggage forms . They told us to file report online and 9 days the bags were delivered to the city we were staying in
But they made us walk to pick them up.
Our air tags indicated they were in first airport for 4 days . Why were they not put on next flight
KLM is terrible

Deceptive, overpriced, and deeply disappointing - avoid KLM
Deceptive, overpriced, and deeply disappointing - avoid KLM
We purchased a roundtrip flight from Berlin to Amsterdam for around €450 and even paid extra to select our seats. Due to a serious family illness (cancer), my partner needed to consider skipping the outbound flight and only using the return.
To avoid any issues, we contacted KLM customer service beforehand and were told that reactivating the return flight would be fine - for an additional €150. We paid the fee in good faith.
However, when we arrived at the airport, KLM informed us that my partner's seat had in fact been sold to someone else. Their "solution"? A token €75 compensation and placing her on a flight two hours later.
So, to summarise:
• We paid €450 for flights + seat selection.
• We paid €150 more for "reactivation."
• KLM still sold my partner's seat.
• We were given €75 in return for the inconvenience.
This is not just poor service - it feels misleading and exploitative. At such a high price point, with such serious personal circumstances, the least one would expect is honesty and reliability. KLM failed on both counts.
After all this hassle, KLM managed to miss loading my partner‘s luggage on the plane. 10/10 of all possible screw-ups. Thanks, KLM.
Will definitely not fly with KLM again.
HORRIBLE customer support
KLM canceled our flight and after a lot of trouble and unpleasant experience they booked us to another. None of the things we paid for in the first flight (luggage, seats, leg space etc) were then applicable in the new flight and after almost 6 months trying to get a reimbursement I'm still not able to get a hold of their customer service but only get "bot answers" like they are sorry they canceled the flight or the purchased seat is only available on the original flight. Yes, I get that, simply want a normal human being to answer my concern and pay me back my money for services that wasn't used.
Damaged our bag and didn't pay compensation
Our bag was damaged during the flight (one wheel came off and was lost). Followed all instructions from airport staff and on KLM website and handed the bag in for repair (as per instruction), kept all receipts, baggage tags, etc, then filed a claim for compensation. Was told by KLM customer service that they couldn't help us because we didn't have a photo of the damaged bag (since we already repaired it, again, per instruction). Called customer service, same answer. Apparently airport staff's damage report that showed what part was damaged, and repair shop receipt that showed one part had been replaced, wasn't enough for them to believe us? Super weird for such a big company to care more about a few euros for a repair (that THEY told us to do!) than keeping customers happy. Can NOT recommend.
Excellent Airline
This was an excellent airline. The staff on board was nice and very professional. Me and my dad were flying the regualer economy class but every person in the flight was given a bag of cheasechips and a bottle of water for free, it was wonderful. If you wanted you also got a free sandwich☺️we had a great experience with this airline
They damaged my luggage with equipment…
They damaged my luggage with equipment and then asked me to go with that luggage around the city to find out if some shop can repair that luggage... Every time they are asking the same information about the bank, I think their Indian tech support just sit there just to irritate me.
Before the flight I was denied with boarding and their phone service said "just stand and wait before the desk", after 20 minutes (10min before gate closes) I rang one more time and understood that nobody is taking care of me!!! They just did nothing and said me to stand before the desk.... Very good that New Castle airport has its own support and they helped me.
Klm - never ever again.
Terrible airline would give no stars
1st flight delayed by nearly 2.5 hours missed my connecting flight from Atlanta to Manchester.
Struggled to get any help from KLM eventually after a lot of stress they got me another flight to Amsterdam. This flight was then delayed.
the in flight food and service was terrible on the journey.
Arrived at Schipol airport and now told I have an 8 hour layover for my flight to Manchester. I was told they could not change it as I had a checked bag which is rubbish. And there was a lack of empathy.
Got to my gate for my final flightafter it changed 3 times and now this flight is delayed by nearly two hours as well.
So I will have been stuck at the airport for 10 hours now, no food no water and no explanation when I asked the lady at the desk if the latest delay.
Absoloutly appalling and this has cost me two train tickets now, and I will now have to get an expensive uber as there is no way of getting home as I have missed the last train.
Terrible airline will be seeking compensation for this.
I AM TAKING KLM TO COURT
I bought an online ticket £848 and cancelled immediately. KLM issued an e-ticket with payment details described. KLM NEVER DISPUTED THAT I WAS ENTITLED TO A REFUND, in fact they put in writing in several emails they had refunded me. However the REFUND WAS NOT RECEIVED, my bank PROVED it never got refunded. This has been going on 7 months. Now KLM are saying they never even took the money from my bank account in the first place. My bank can prove they did take the money.
I AM TAKING KLM TO COURT, my bank can PROVE FROM COMPUTER BANKING SYSTEMS THAT KLM DID TAKE £848 FROM ME AND PROVE THEY NEVER REFUNDED ME. Yes it will cost me a lot of money but when I win in court KLM will have to refund all legal expenses.
Extremely Disappointed with KLM's Customer Service
I have been dealing with an incredibly frustrating situation involving KLM for the past eight months. My baggage was lost during a flight from Tbilisi to Belgrade, with a transfer in Amsterdam. Despite multiple attempts to resolve this issue with both KLM and Georgian Airways, I have not received any satisfactory answers or solutions.
KLM claims that Georgian Airways is responsible, while Georgian Airways says they never received my baggage because KLM handed it over to the police. However, the police have confirmed multiple times that they do not have my baggage. This constant back-and-forth has been extremely stressful and unproductive.
To make matters worse, KLM has refused my request for compensation, citing my "country of residence," despite knowing that I am a refugee. This is not only unfair but also a clear violation of international regulations such as the Montreal Convention, which holds airlines responsible for the baggage throughout the entire journey.
As a business class passenger, I expected my baggage to be handled with care and my complaints to be addressed seriously. Instead, I have been met with misleading information and a complete lack of accountability from KLM.
I have reached out to various authorities, including the police and the Ombudsman of the Netherlands, but the situation remains unresolved. I am now turning to Schiphol for assistance, hoping they can help rectify this issue.
I urge KLM to take immediate responsibility for my lost baggage and provide the compensation I am entitled to. This experience has been incredibly disappointing and has severely damaged my trust in KLM.
good service
Complete contempt for customers
I was on a flight to Edinburgh from Amsterdam which was cancelled and had to stay in the airport overnight with no food or drink it was freezing cold, and I am disabled no staff were available to question I was treated like dirt I rang the company for an apology did they not give one I was shocked at the attitude so egregess this is how they treat disabled people people could have their lives put at risk by this airline avoid them at all cost
They really are the worst airline
They really are the worst airline I’ve ever used (including budget!).
I flew from Birmingham to Quito via Amsterdam and KLM lost my luggage (they left it in Amsterdam). On arrival in Ecuador on Friday morning I was a woman alone and I was tired, upset and worried. The KLM airport staff were unhelpful and didn’t explain anything or offer me any help. It was only when I actually started crying that they promised they’d fly my luggage out the next morning (Saturday) via Air Europa. They wrote the details down for me.
The luggage was not flown out as promised. As far as I can tell no attempt was ever made to do so. I don’t know if it was a genuine attempt to help that just didn’t work, or a lie to get me out of the airport. But the result was the same - no luggage and no idea what was happening.
I eventually got through to staff on KLMs WhatsApp. They tried to be helpful but always seemed very confused. They couldn’t say why my luggage hadn’t been flown out as I was promised or when it would arrive. One part of KLM seemingly had no idea what another part was doing. Luckily at this point I’d joined my tour group and the tour leader was able to help. If it wasn’t for him I don’t think I’d ever have seen my luggage.
KLM finally managed to locate and get my luggage out to me. But, as it was now Sunday, they wouldn’t get it to me until Monday. So I paid for a courier to get my luggage from the airport to me (I was several hundred kilometres away) and also because I had no confidence that KLM could actually do what they promised.
On arrival home I made my claim of approx £350 which didn’t cover all the costs I incurred because of KLM but was what I had receipts for. But they have only reimbursed me just over £200 and so I'm financially poorer as a result. Despite having receipts KLM refuse to reimburse all my costs and they’re flatly refusing to pay for the courier (they say they’d have got my luggage to me eventually which I dispute).
The communication has been extremely poor. KLM are not replying to my emails and totally ignoring my tweets. If they do reply, they ignore the specific points I raise and just send me an unhelpful standard, stock response.
The flights were average, I’m flown on better airlines, I’ve flown on worse. Losing my luggage was unfortunate but i get that it happens. But I think KLM staff deliberately misled me at Quito airport. And I have lost money because KLM won’t reimburse me for my costs.
So, avoid KLM and use an airline that can be trusted and that doesn’t treat its customers with such contempt.
EDIT - I’ve just had a response to my latest email. They seem to be saying that because I complained about KLM losing my luggage I cannot now complain about KLMs subsequent response to that compliant! They really are appalling.
Worst airline ever
Worst airline ever. You might be lucky once or twice but in the end KLM will screw you over, take my word for it.
KLM SCAMMING LYING COMPANY
Do not trust this scamming klm company, I asked if I could book my pet on these particular flights, 3 times I asked I was told definetly I can and to book my flight first and then call back to book my pet, so I did snd then 2nd agent told me ok my pet is,booked on, confirmed it, he also told me I just need to bring in soft pet carrier, so I called next day to confirm the pet carrier to make sure I had the correct one, after that it was call after call I was making as,all the agents, were extremely rude and told me my pet was not allowed even after I told them but it was confirmed by agents and the only reason I booked this flights is because agent told me I could, agents kept hanging up on me were full of cheek rudness, I demanded my full refund and insurance I paid as they downright lied and scammed me out of money and they refused to refund my payment when they were lying and at fault, also when I checked my bank account they have actualy took double the payment also and point blank refused to refund me, my solicitor is suing KLM for compensation and more as I have now suffered pain in my heart and panic attacks made worse even though my pet was a cat and emotional support pet I even said I would pay an extra seat or put him in the hold they refused to help me and just lied cheated and robbed me out of money, I did call to confirm before I booked and also after and they lied, my solicitor wrote to ceo and omnibus man and we are going the full road to sue this fraudulent company
KLM unfair practice to passengers who chose to buy cheaper tickets. (refund policy and dispute resolution is a joke)
My partner had booked tickets way in advance to fly return from Netherland to South Africa, and because we knew we were not going to change our flight dates, we chose the cheapest tickets. The day before his departure, he couldn't do the self check-in which was odd. So he went in early got checked-in, but they refused to allocate a seat to him. I think there was about 4 other passengers that experienced the same. They waited till everyone boarded, only to be told told they were being involuntary disboarded. (Unofficially we were told this was because we had bought the cheaper tickets and were single tickets). This practice of overbooking flights to make more money is disgraceful. All they did was offer us a refund and another flight via Frankfurt. At this point his luggage got lost between KLM and Lufthansa. This was very stressful as our return flight was booked to coincide with bringing out dogs to Netherlands, and this delay could have seriously impacted all arrangements we had made months in advance. The dogs cargo fees was no cheap. And after months of requesting a better refund and having our case bumped from one KLM department to another. All we got back was their standard refund amount for all the stress they put us through. Whats disgusting is that this treatment of its passengers is not new. This practice of overbooking passengers, leaving their passengers stranded with little regard for what it means to their passengers shows a company that cares little. Stop doing this to us.
