Awful Rental Company

I rented a room in a shared flat for 18 months from Komoto Group and their partner company Merino ltd as landlord, for which all utility bills were included in the rental agreement. This was stated in the company's advertising for the flat share and the legal tenancy contract I signed with them. Unfortunately Komoto Group failed to pay the Thames Water bill despite being contractually bound to do so. Several months after I left the property, Thames Water and their debt collection agents have been unfairly chasing me to pay this debt. I contacted Komoto Group and their senior managers over a year ago and they still are asking me to be patient for written confirmation whether they paid the Thames Water bill, which the contract requires them to. I have now been issued a County Court Claim for this debt, so Komoto Group are causing me considerable stress by not fulfilling their obligation as landlord. If Komoto Group pay the Thames Water debt swiftly, I will edit this review accordingly. Until then, I cannot recommend Komoto Group at all. I would give zero stars but Google review requires a minimum of 1 star.

They have just built an extension in…

They have just built an extension in Meridian Place, apartment 59 Canary Wharf on the top of the front of the building. The cladding does not look fire proof. There is still a court case outstanding on the staircase they have also built so legally speaking these extension apartments might not be legally compliant yet. The staircase also blocks the entrance to one of the buildings in Meridian Place so is a fire and light hazard for people in that building. Very dodgy company is this and legally questionable. Would not deal with Komoto Group as very dangerous.
