i love bigbang, so i bought 5 cds from kpoptown, but i advise you to stay away from this seller, never received my package yet, after almost a month yet i paid more than $60 cad for shipping+tax thru DHL, go look somewhere else for your kpop cds, kpoptown is unreliable, no communication at all, been emailing them constantly but no response, only when i contacted PAYPAL and ask for a resolution did they ship my items, and even then, my package was lost somewhere in Mexico, do yourself a favour and shop at ktown4u instead, kpoptown is not a good place to shop cds

I buy quite a bit from here, and I know why there are good and bad reviews. Good is when they managed to send things correctly and on time, which is maybe 70% of the time? The other 30% of when they forget to ship, have things out of stock, or god forbid if anything goes wrong such as them sending the wrong things. Customer service doesn't reply at all unless you threaten with a chargeback. And even then, they won't be rectifying their mistake. Honestly tired of their lack of customer service. Sure they have official goods, but I expect to receive everything as ordered 100% of the time, not 70%.

First time buying from kpoptown!! The experience was great. My package was not damaged at all. It took five days before my package was shipped, but it came within 4 days after being shipped. Would recommend!!!

I ordered an album from them, because they were the only non korean site (as in their site isn't in korean and they deliver globally) that had it. I waited around 2 weeks for them to send my order, and so I messaged them and got a quick reply that they'd look into it and the next day they had already sent it off. So personally I'd had a good experience with their customer service.

However, the reason for only giving 3 stars is that their shipping rates are crazy (ended up costing more than the actual album) and then I also got tax fees + handling fee that I had to pay so it ended up being like 2x more than my actual order. (I live in EU btw).
I get that the pandemic may have made it hard to keep a low shipping rate but also getting tax fees is just too expensive.
It's just weird because when I ordered a lightstick 2 years ago shipping was only like $10 and I had no tax fees on it.

As much as I love their products, it's just not worth it for me to buy from them again unfortunately.

I don't know what happened to Kpoptown because it used to be good, but they have the worst service nowadays. I had ordered 3 items of which one was a pre-order. A month after the pre-ordered item had been released I received an email that the item was out of stock and if I wanted the rest of the items shipped. It sucks because this is an item that is now sold out everywhere and had Kpoptown not advertised it as available for pre-order I could've gotten it somewhere else. I sent them an email about it and never received a response. So now the next step comes...refund. I would receive a refund for the product itself and shipping fee. I got an email with what I would be getting back and while the money for the product is correct, the shipping fee is waayyy off. The shipping fee for this product was around 25-27$ and Kpoptown is only refunding me 4$. I sent them an email again, but I'm not hopeful that they'll respond so I'll probably have to solve it through a different route

Kpoptown used to be good back 6-7 years ago but I've stopped buying from them after they switched to super slow shipping services. Things take a month or two to reach even before COVID started.

Their customer service is terrible. They wouldn't answer my questions and, once I placed my order they informed me that one of the items I order was sold out. They asked for my permission to ship the rest of the items and return me the shipping cost difference. When I asked them how much it would be, they aswered: thank you for your confirmation, we will refund you 6€ for shipping difference.
I wasn't able to decide whether or not I wanted them to ship my order, I couln't opt for cancellation, nor ask for a fair return policy.
If I could've cancelled and ordered again, the shipping difference would have been higher, but I wasn't given any option. I've asked for them to refund me, but I've never heard from them again and, what is worse, due to their overpriced shipping, I had to pay customs so, in the end, besides items and shipping (which was already double the price of items), I payed extra 65€ that I'm never getting back.
In conclusion: there're many serious and trustworthy webs that sell kpop stuff, so don't risk it with this one. You may get the items you asked for but in case of incidence, you won't see your money again.
Edit: I gave them 2 stars because at least they did send me the items, even though I ended up paying 213€ for two 30€ albums.

Honestly, I have no clue how they have such mediocre reviews. I was and still am thoroughly impressed with kpoptown. The shipping was super quick for a product that could not be shipped through air, arriving only in two days. The customer service was very helpful when I was confused by my order. I was at first worried reading these reviews, but take it from me when I say I had an amazing experience and I will be ordering from these guys again in the future.

They sell stock out items and asked buyer to provide invoice for duty and taxes while refuse to send the items they claimed to have in stock.

FACT: if you see stock out items from other websites instock on kpoptown, DONT BUY FROM THEM.

Asked for refund and was ignored. They are on the high way to bankruptcy so don’t donate to them. Buy from ktown4u or other official stockists.

I ordered the Harmony version of the new B.O.Y album, but was sent the Synergy version instead. When I contacted them to let them know the mistake, they asked for pictures, which I provided, but then they wanted me to basically buy another album? They said that instead of the ~$36 that I had spent on the album, they would just keep it at $25 instead. When I told them I didn't want to basically buy another album just so I could get the one they were supposed to send me in the first place, they offered me "half off" the album I already have, in the way of an $8 gift voucher. There's been a couple of times with other online stores that I've received the wrong items, but they've never asked me to purchase something else so they'd send me what they were supposed to send me in the first place. This is very disappointing and unprofessional, I will not be purchasing from Kpop Town again.

I was super nervous buying from here (bad experience with buying Kpop merch from other places in the past) but everything arrived all fine, and a week earlier than expected! I ordered 3 BT21 items and they are all genuine. The only things were the price of shipping (though it's covid so shipping is always more expensive) and the status updates on the order status - mine stayed as "payment received" the entire time. I emailed support and they got back to me in around 4 days. Defs going to spend all my money here oops

Arrives early, with a great price and great products. They are well packages too. Definitely a safe and reliable source to get your kpop merch from <3

I ordered 3 Limited Edition albums that are quite old and out of stock pretty much everywhere. I basically played a gamble with this site and was ready to lose all my money and not get any albums from the bad reviews I saw. But while it did take a bit longer than I expected to get it to ship, it actually got here perfectly fine and the exact editions I thought they were lying about having in stock . I don't get the bad reviews but I only bought from here this one time so far. The shipping was fast once it was out, no extra fess, no problems, no damage. Would shop here again : ) 4 stars because I never got a reply from customer service, but I guess I'm happier with the package actually getting here right after I emailed them than some reply.

I placed my first order here early august, (6 albums) with the shipping choice of DHL. A few days later I got a message form them informing me that one of my items was sold out, and offering to either cancel the whole review of continue with the remaining items and get a refund of the sold out item. I decided to continue, and within a few days my order was shipped out. The parcel arrived withing a week and everything was in good condition and well packaged, so no complains there. However when it came to my refund, I didn't hear from them for WEEKS, even after sending them two different emails. Finally I decided to start a new email chain (instead of replying to the original chain with them) and finally I got my response. It has now been over two weeks since I received my order, and I got my refund applied today.

Overall, I think they're good. They ship out quickly and when the customer service does reply, they're very nice. The item and shipping prices in my opinion are great. The only minus comes from the delay in responses, which also could've been a mistake on my end for replying to an already handled order number.

One of the Albums I ordered arrived significantly damaged, showing scratches and punctures. After checking the box as well as the other product and wrapping there is no way this could've happened during transit. I sent 3 e-mails complaining until I finally got a response and these clowns are seriously trying to get me to accept a $3 coupon for their shop to make up for a $16 album + $32 shipping... Don't buy from them. It's not worth the gamble...

i would say that don’t listen to every single bad review because i’m telling you it is worth it, when you go to buy from a store and it’s good you don’t really go leave a review only when you have a bad experience that is why there is so many bad reviews, this sight is trustworthy only have to take some pre cautions like don’t order the same thing twice make sure it’s not out of stuck when you purchase if anything delay happens in the end they will send it to you don’t worry if it goes out of stock they might not notify you but as soon as it is they will send it to you! just don’t be careless yeh pricing is good for a reason!

Worst website ever to get any albums from. ordered 17 albums 1 week ago and messaged them several times about when my order will be shipped, no reply. And when I decided that im sick of waiting, i emailed them for cancellation and they replied back straight away. And it became obvious that the albums were out of stock and they didn’t even bother to let me know.

I purchased 2 lightsticks and had to pay for shipping. Yes shipping is expensive but the lightsticks were cheap. Compared to other sites with "free shipping", it was cheaper to buy it from here. My items were shipped within 3 days and came 1 week after I ordered it.
