Browser calling saved me from constantly switching device
I placed a call directly from a client's CRM tab instead of reaching for my phone. KrispCall's browser calling connected the call within seconds, and the audio stayed clear throughout the conversation. I could keep the client details open on my screen while handling the call, which made follow-ups much easier when i was already working from my laptop.

Numbers across multiple countries
I needed a UK number so our UK customers could reach our team through a local contact point, and Krispcall made that easy. I could choose a UK virtual number directly from the dashboard and have it ready within minutes. I also liked being able to keep the UK number alongside our other country-specific numbers in the same Krispcall account, while keeping each market's calls separate.

KrispCall happily took my money for a German phone number, but only after the purchase did they tell me I needed a completely different verification process with German business documents just to use it. I had already completed their KYC verification, yet the number remained locked with a "Document Pending" status.
If these requirements are mandatory, why aren't they made crystal clear before customers pay?
Now I've paid for a service that is completely unusable. Support was polite but couldn't offer any real solution except asking for documents that I don't have. When I requested a refund because the service is impossible for me to use, it became a frustrating back-and-forth instead of a simple customer-friendly resolution.
This feels like paying for a product only to discover afterward that you were never actually eligible to use it.
I've wasted my time and money, and now I have to fight just to get a refund. This has been one of the worst experiences I've had with a SaaS company.
There are plenty of VoIP providers that are far more transparent about their requirements. I wish I had chosen one of them instead.
I won't be using KrispCall again and cannot recommend it based on my experience.

You're right that this shouldn't come as a surprise after payment — the requirement is shown at the point of purchase (a note about needing a copy of the ID and local address document, verified before the number can be used) and also on our website before subscription, and we understand it's easy to miss when you're moving quickly through checkout. That's on us to make clearer, not something we should expect customers to catch in fine print.
Since German numbers do require this local verification by regulation, and we weren't able to get you the documents needed to unlock it, we've processed a full refund for your purchase. You should receive a confirmation email shortly.
We're taking a look at how we surface this requirement earlier in the number-selection flow so this is clearer upfront for future customers. Appreciate you flagging it.
