Terrible customer service

I purchased a ladybug steam cleaner from ladybugsteamcleaners.com (aka advap.com) about three years ago to occasionally deep clean my tile floors. The accessory for that purpose had four clips, one of which was defective. Rather than taking the time and trouble to seek a replacement, I worked around it the few times I used the machine until deciding to purchase a replacement brush from the same company. Though clicking on replacements for my machine, the replacement brush connector differed greatly from the original. Since it appeared impossible to use it, I requested a return the same day within about an hour after its arrival. They refused to accept the return, citing something about sanitation. This obviously does not pertain since it did not connect to my machine and was impossible to use. Also, the brush was just placed in the shipping box. It was not packaged in plastic or any sort of wrapper. To make matters worse, advap.com denied the return twice and the third time claimed that the return must be requested through ladybugsteamcleaners.com. Return requests to ladybugsteamcleaners.com were completely ignored. The replacement brush was purchased through ladybugsteamcleaners.com site, but the charge showed the merchant as advap.com. They appear to obviously be the same company since they share the same credit card merchant account and the exact same address. The use of two names for the same company often signals something nefarious and this proved true when they played the shell game over what should have been a minor, routine return. The entire purchase of a ladybug steam cleaner turned out to be a huge mistake in light of its limited usefulness, the defective floor brush, the failed attempt to purchase a replacement brush that fits, and their refusal to accept the brush return.
