Sorry, risky additives is a turn off

Sorry, the risky additives is a big negative.
The taste of the selection ranged from great to edible. The problem came when I scanned the product with my sugar, salt and additives app... 2 out of 100 is about as bad as it gets. Bad enough to stop me from eating a wide range of poor products.

Poor Customer Service

However good a company's product may be, if the outfit is poorly run and the service is poor, it will lose customers. This axiom seems to be reflected elsewhere in these reviews. We had a problem with the vegan camembert product, which turned to water after we followed the heating instructions. After a delayed back and forth with the company, I was told that a replacement could not be supplied to my region (despite the fact that the product is sold here). La Fauxmagerie cheese are usually very good, but the are also very expensive - too expensive; and that price becomes even more prohibitive when you have to throw away the inedible ones. I will never buy any of these products again.

Mouldy cheese

Mouldy cheese! They don’t seem to label their shipments as perishables and have a poorly managed customer service which does not offer refunds or reorders of the items. Much cheaper of the exact same products can be found at other stores

Dishonest company

Changed their Brixton Blue recipe to remove all the blue veins meaning only the outside tastes like blue cheese and altered the packaging to hide the item inside so you can't tell and added a picture to the front that no longer represents the item inside. Misleading your customers with a bait and switch is very shady.

Disappointing experience

The cheese order was for a special occasion. Paid £6.50 for delivery and took 8 days to arrived (2 days later than the delivery date I was given and too late for the intended occasion). I emailed customer services twice and still haven't received a response which is very disappointing. This was my first and last order with La Fauxmagerie. I have to say the cheese is really lovely though so would recommend if you can buy it in store anywhere.

As you can't order more than a week in…

As you can't order more than a week in advance I had to order from my phone on holiday for my daughters bday. I made a mistake with the address house number, my fault. Called the courier who had sent cheese back immediately with no option to redirect and LaFauxmageria just said 'there is nothing we can do'. I was not expecting my money back but a small gesture of good will would have been appreciated and would have meant I was not writing this review. £30 down the loo!

Extremely disappointing…

I hadn't realized how small the pieces of cheese are, but that was my mistake. Very expensive and with less than a week Best before date. The flavour not very different from the plant based cheeses sold at the supermarket. Most disappointing was the enormous amount of non recyclable material used in the delivery packaging, which also costs a fortune.
Very disappointing

Love them but P&P is over 50% of cost

We love the cheeses that la faumargerie produce without dairy. I’m dairy intolerant so to find such yummy cheeses is wonderful. However, I went to buy 3 of our favourites online recently. £18 the pleasure -ok- but then £10 on top of this for delivery! I could not in all consciousnesses place the order. I know from our experience at Christmas time that it’s all so well refrigerated with packing for delivery. But over 50% of price on P&P for our order means we won’t be buying from these wonderful folk again. Sorry!

The best vegan cheese

You need to try them! I have a milk allergy and I starved for a good cheese since years. I tried almost all the cheese alternatives in the market but these camembert and blue cheese alternatives are really brought me back the "real cheese" feelings. Thank you guys :)

I went to the restaurant , the staff were very impolite . Got takeaway cheese home and found mice droppings and hair in the cheese . Absolutely horrified and disgusted . I think health and safety should really pay these lot a visit . MICE Droppings !!!!! STAY AWAY .

Staff are very impolite as well . It’s absolutely ridiculous . If there was anything lower than 1st at I would give .

Outstanding Cheese!

Overjoyed to find La Fauxmargerie stocked in my local Waitrose in York, have been wanting to try for ages. Balham Blue is delicious, the Camembert is amazing and the Brixton Blue is outstanding, best thing I've eaten in a long time. Praying they keep stocking it.

Delivery, Service SHOCKING !!!

delivery service/procedure very poor. if you want to speak with them over the phone, in the good old fashion way then forget it. I have spent 3 days chasing down a delivery with their courier and getting nowhere, why am I doing this?? Because they don't, they instruct you to do so. It's so annoying not being able to pick up the phone and talk with someone. If you, La Fauxmagerie want to expand your business you have some serious issues to address, you won't do this by hiding behind the webwall.
I suggest less time posting fancy promotions on social media and more time taking care of customers and growing relationships.
as for how the cheese tastes, I have no idea.

We ordered three cheese but they were so disgusting. We couldn't eat them. I think they must be off but when we asked for a refund they wouldn't give us one. Expensive mistake to have tried their cheese. It is revolting

Very disappointing - I cannot choose ANY delivery date

Very disappointing - I cannot choose ANY delivery date. I saw the banner on the site but it is ambiguous so I just wasted my time choosing cheeses I simply cannot get delivered at all, no matter whether after Christmas. This is a flaky website as changing quantities (firefox on windows 10) either takes me to a different page or doesn't change the price, as it should.

Overall, a frustratingly tantalising experience.

Go in person, avoid delivery

I kept trying with these guys as I love love love the idea. Unfortunately over 7 orders, every single time there's been a problem with the delivery and /or products missing. The cheese is (understandably) very expensive so each time we've bought it it's been for a special occasion, and with the exception of once we've always had it come too late for that event! You can't really order early either as the cheeses don't keep that well and their delivery is infrequent. I've found that all my favourite cheeses from there can be found through other suppliers without these issues, so unless you can go there in person to browse and take things home, I'd sadly give this shop a swerve. To be honest, the customer service on email is very defensive and shabby too, and one time I found out an Xmas order would be late from them complaining on Instagram about their customers getting in touch asking where the food was. Disappointing.

Pathetic Service

I can’t comment about the quality of the food as this was a gift for someone else. I can comment on the appalling service. I ordered a Christmas hamper. The delivery by DHL was delayed. I got it a day late in a broken sodden cardboard box which had a label saying fresh food that must be delivered on the day. The contents were poorly presented, sodden and in some cases damaged. I was also expecting a wicker hamper as the contents on their own seem very poor value for £80 plus postage. I fed back these issues to them immediately and a week later I have received a Shopify email stating I have been refunded £5! No communication whatsoever from the company addressing or refuting my concerns raised. I don’t care one jot about the pathetic refund but I do care about the total lack of response.

How absolutely useless you are. I strongly do not recommend Lafauxmargerie’s service.
