We used this company on 2 occasions, and were very impressed with how quickly and efficiently they handled our replacement car. We were told exactly what time the car would arrive, and the man who brought it Mahmood was one of the nicest and friendliest guys we have ever dealt with. We would 100% deal with this company again, and would like to reiterate how great Mahmood was, he’s a real credit to this company.

Important Advisory for BMW Assist Customers Regarding LCH Automotive
BMW Assist customers are strongly advised to decline vehicle hire services from LCH Automotive if offered, and instead request a vehicle from Enterprise Rent-A-Car.
Based on my experience, LCH Automotive ranks among the most poorly managed companies I have encountered. While their customer service representatives are courteous over the phone, the overall operation of the company is disorganized and inefficient. I would strongly recommend avoiding this provider.
LCH and Enterprise appear to be competing for BMW Assist contracts. In my case, Enterprise provided a significantly superior service and vehicle, delivering a BMW iX in place of the BMW i4 offered by LCH. Enterprise also accepted my company’s business group insurance policy, which covers any driver for any vehicle. In contrast, LCH refused to honor this policy and insisted I use their insurance, which carries excessive excess fees—£1,000 for general damage and £90 for minor issues such as wheel scuffs.
A major concern is LCH’s approach to vehicle damage. Their vehicles are often presented as luxury or premium, yet arrive in mediocre condition with visible damage. The driver who delivered my vehicle took particular interest in documenting every minor imperfection, claiming previous renters would be charged automatically via their card on file. This practice raises serious ethical concerns, especially as there is little evidence that the company repairs the damage it charges for.
In one instance, I was nearly charged for a superficial tyre scuff, despite the vehicle not having been driven and retaining the same mileage as at delivery. The mark in question was covered in tyre shine applied during the valet, suggesting it was not new damage.
Additionally, LCH’s vehicles are equipped with dash cams and tracking devices, including in-cabin monitors, which may raise privacy concerns for some users.
The vehicle handover process was unnecessarily lengthy—45 minutes to inspect the car on delivery and 30 minutes upon collection—even though the vehicle had not been used.
It is also worth noting that LCH drivers appear to be incentivized to identify and report damage, possibly through commission or penalties, which may explain their overly meticulous inspections.
Especially when it was the same driver who dropped the car off the day before who also picked it up!
In summary, I strongly advise BMW Assist customers to request Enterprise as their preferred provider. Enterprise offers better vehicles, more flexible insurance options, and a far more professional experience.
Recommendation: Avoid LCH Automotive.

Having had a car delivered after mine broke down, I was delivered a beautiful car with small signs of damage. While I appreciate things like this can happen, I was amazed that the delivery driver would not allow me to record this damage which resulted in me rejecting the vehicle.
Double check your car if you are hiring.
I've had 2 experiences with this company and both have been very poor. Firstly, I had hired a replacement car to arrive that evening to get me home but they rang last minute to say it wouldn't arrive until the next day - not very good when I was 2 hours from home. Secondly, I spent 2 weeks arranging for a hire car and for it to arrive prior to 3 o' clock on the delivery day as I had to attend a meeting at 5 with a 2 hour drive. They rang me 1 hour before the delivery slot to announce it would be 2 hours late. I was offered compensation of £50 towards a taxi, which wouldn't even get me half way there. Took absolutely no responsibility for the impact on my day or work.

Great experience - was contacted early in the day by one of the team to confirm the car model and time for delivery and the driver Ally called me throughout the day to update me on timing for his arrival and was then able to perform the handover swiftly but thoroughly to enable me to get to my next appointment.
