Doesn’t have what it says in the ads.
The app got me with the cool stories on their ads. I subscribed for three months; none of the interesting stories used in the ads are actually available on the app. It’s actually more worth it to just watch the ads and do your own independent research. The quizzes are a joke and while the stories are well broken down, it’s really better suited for kids.

Not really what I was expecting,based on social media ads.Just someone reading of a script?You could get that in a lot of free podcasts.
Was expecting a more lively ,AI generated visuals,that is more engaging.The subjects really interest me but lousy presentation.

Great app
I never leave reviews but this app is amazin. They do need to add an option to make it so just can just listen and don't have to take quizzes and just do the final boss battle or something. Really enjoyed it though!

Terrible experience
Terrible experience. Misleading advertising on social media and misleading registration that looks like a free trial but immediately charged. After less than an hour I cancelled and requested a refund which was ignored.

When you go to cancel the subscription after answering some questions about the reasons for cancelling at the last page there is actually no option to cancel only an option saying "Don't cancel" so obviously it's a scam
Also, the subscription did not appear among other Play store subscriptions

I had a “free” account and used it once… I
I had a “free” account and used it once and thought it was dumb so I deleted it. Months later I was charged US$22 out of nowhere. I redownloaded the app and made sure I did indeed have the free account; I did. The subscription did not appear in my iTunes subscriptions. Scam scam scam scam scam.

Boring app
The ads for the app are great, but the actual content is nothing like it. The ad said I would get a refund if I try the app and am not convinced. However, I emailed them several times and never got a reply.
They basically only invest in nice ads and make cancelling the subscription hard, and refunds impossible. Go get a book.

This is a scam, first they charge you through apple then they charge you directly on your cc. Even thought I canceled the apple subscription I was still charged full price on my cc month later. All my support emails got ignored. Stay away from this scam !

Poor quality better as a children’s app
Experience and content is nothing like promo videos. Ultra gamified, can’t simply be viewed or listened to without quizzes and pauses.
Huge gaps in UK edition to leading world figures. Very US history centric. Waste of money. Might be good for kids

Unauthorized charges & ignored support
I never agreed to a paid Paladin Pro subscription, I started a free trial only. The subscription never appeared in my Apple subscriptions, and I received no email, warning, or notification that a paid plan had started.
I only discovered Paladin was charging me after investigating unexplained payments, hidden inside the app settings, leaving me no realistic way to cancel in time.
Paladin refused a refund, wrongly claiming that app usage equals consent (it doesn’t under EU consumer law), and has since repeatedly ignored my follow-up emails.
I am still waiting for a refund of €78.91. I will update this review if Paladin resolves this.
