Over the years I have bought many…

Over the years I have bought many LeCreuset items mostly casserole dishes. I was browning some meat in one of my very large casseroles dishes when the base came away and the food was covered with bits of metal! I wrote to LeCreuset with my lifetime guarantee and they have failed to fulfill the guarantee. I was not misusing it in any way but they said that my model only had a 10 year guarantee. Considering the price of the dishes I am VERY disappointed and I shall not be buying any more and would advise other people not to. A very disappointed customer!

Customer Service 'Helpdesk' Ignore Customers Emails

After sending two emails to Le Creuset 'customer service help desk' about a faulty casserole dish which received no replies, I contacted Lee Tibbit (Managing Director Le Creuset UK) directly and asked for his assistance. After waiting a month I still have not heard from him. From my experience I can only conclude:
1. Le Creuset dishes are not as good as the company portrays them to be.
2. The 'Lifetime Guarantee' is not honoured so is worthless
3. Le Creuset customer service is extremely poor and they are happy to ignore customers who have issues with their products
4. Lee Tibbit is not interested in customer satisfaction

Le Creuset Have My Return and My Money

Very disappointed with the customer service I have received from Le Creuset.

Throughout this process, every response has taken days and days to receive, which has been frustrating enough. However, after a resolution was agreed and I returned the item exactly as instructed, my emails now appear to be being ignored altogether.

I was advised that the matter had been passed to their Finance team and that I would be contacted regarding the refund. Since then, I have sent multiple follow up emails requesting an update and have received no response.

At this point, Le Creuset have my money, they have my casserole, and I am left completely out of pocket with no indication of when this matter will be resolved.

I understand delays can happen, but a simple update or acknowledgement would go a long way. For a premium brand with such a strong reputation, the lack of communication and poor after-sales service has been incredibly disappointing.

I have been a big fan of Le Creuset…

I have been a big fan of Le Creuset products for many years: cast iron, stainless steel, baking trays...it's Le Creuset or nothing!
I even buy Le Creuset as wedding presents...
Additional attraction was the lifetime guarantee on all products.
I didn't need to use this over the years except on one occasion when a baking tray (which is not being sold any more) rusted.
I took it to my local store and it was replaced with no questions asked.
However, when I recently took one small cast iron dish to be replaced (it had rusting across the rim) I was told I needed to do it through customer services as the colour of the pot was not made any more.
The customer service was responsive and prompt in communication.
Unfortunately, I found out that the lifetime guarantee is now a thing of the past.
I was given scenarios under which I could claim replacement and it didn't sound that there is much guarantee at all.
Kindly, though, customer services did send me a replacement pot as a gesture of good will for which I am very grateful for.
I don't know what kind of experiences forced Le Creuset to change their policies, but I'm a little sad they did.
They were the only company I ever had to deal with that had that touch of the good old days when things were made to last and the companies were proud to substantiate it with lifetime guarantees.
On the other hand, Le Creuset dishes are fantastic, and I know they will last me my lifetime and I will pass them on to my children, some of who have already become fans just like me!
However, on these rare occasions which I hope don't happen again, it would have been nice to just have that piece of mind.
To sum up, I am happy Le Creuset still exist and make their fabulous cookware, they are beautiful, heavy, inspiring and very special.
I wish the company very best in the future and all its users many gorgeous meals, cooking and food enjoying times with their loved ones.
As the Old Book says, Ecc 2: 24 "24 There is nothing better for a man, than that he should eat and drink, and that he should make his soul enjoy good in his labour."

1st Class service all round.

1st Class service all round.
Very friendly staff.
Went above and beyond what would normally be expected.
Did not pass the buck like some other companies may do.
Would not hesitate to recommend to others.
Excellent product. Lifetime guarantee. What more could one ask for.
Keep up the good work.

Great Products, Fake Warranties

Let me preface my review by saying that I love Le Creuset Products, own many of them, and if they didn't offer a warranty at all, I would rate them as a 5-star company.

Sadly, they do offer warranties, including a lifetime warranty on their toughened non-stick pots and pans. I had 2 frying pans from this range, which stopped being non-stick. We followed all the product care guidelines, but after a couple of years, they simply didn't work anymore.

When I contacted their customer service about this, after some forwards and backwards, and some pictures, I was told that the warranty was not valid as the pans showed signs of overheating. When I pointed out that they had only been used on inductions hobs with oils whose smoke point was lower than the recommended maximum temperature, I was told - quite condescendingly - that it was no reflection on my usage or care for the pans, and I may have done everything in the care instructions, and used the pans as intended, but the warranty was not valid.

I can only surmise from this interaction that the warranties are in fact fake, and Le Creuset has no intention of honoring them. I've seen plenty of dodgy sales tactics before, and I'm not terribly surprised, but I am disappointed, and want to share my experience so others can adjust their expectations accordingly.

After years of buying thier products, I will be buying my kitchenware elsewhere from now on.

Not built to last

I bought an enamel kettle two years ago from them and recently noticed rust on the inside and in my drinks. On closer inspection the inner enamel has started wearing away. Having a five year warranty I assumed this could be replaced. I contacted them and received a reply on how to operate a kettle and the option for 30% off another one. Apparently this is normal wear and tear. I obviously know how to use a kettle and I obviously do not want to buy another one that will do the same! Bought a beautiful stainless steel one from Aga instead.
