The one match I received was from an attorney firm that didnt practice what my issue was for and they never replied to my inquiries. I emailed LegalMatch and never received a reply
Hey Jessie at Legalmatch, I appreciate you concerned about this review, but I stand by this. I would work with you directly but I do not receive replys from legalmatch, same with the one match I was provided. Not return of phone calls. You request I update my entry, but it is accurate.

For some reason Legal Match decided to start calling my law firm this year after we'd been in business over 10 years.
What angers me is that they keep telling my receptionist that they "have done business with me," "have a case they want to discuss with me," or "are calling about a potential client." These are just lies to get around my receptionist and intake team that screen marketing cold calls because they're a waste of my time.
I did end up talking with one of the agents eventually because Legal Match wouldn't stop calling my intake team and claiming they were a client and would ONLY talk to one specific lawyer at my firm. This of course was complete BS. I went through their pitch and explained that I don't work with paid leads companies that won't do Month to Month. If you stand by your product, you know people will continue to pay for it. If you don't, you need long term contracts. The sales agent I eventually spoke with was nice enough, but I really really do not appreciate marketing people lying to my intake or receptionist, even bending the truth, just to get to me. If you have a good product you don't need to do that.
Take your money and invest in your own branding and marketing campaigns.
12/22/25 Update - LegalMatch continues to call my firm and use the same tactics described above, despite leaving a response below that they've removed us from their list. Their customer service seems to be as dishonest as their sales people.
12/30/25 Update - I emailed their corporate and legal departments to get them to remove us from their call list like their response to this review claims. They have not done so and continue to call my intake team, lying to try and get past them. I am now doing what I told them I would do and leaving negative reviews elsewhere every time they call us and waste our time. 10/10 do not work with these scammers!

Seven months ago, LegalMatch referred my boyfriend to an attorney for a complex case. She was disbarred last month, now faces up to 20 years in prison, and his family paid her over $25,000—before her alleged felony assault.
When we noticed red flags early on, he called to voice concerns. He was transferred to complaints manager “Jim.”
When Jim began raising his voice and berating him, he started recording the call.
Jim dismissed his concerns, told him he knew her personally, and that he was “lucky to have her.” When my boyfriend tried to respond, Jim cut him off: *“No, no, no Matthew. Period. End of story.”* Then: *“This is going nowhere. Have a good day.”* Click.
We’ve spent the last two weeks calling and emailing LegalMatch trying to get answers. Every number goes straight to voicemail. No one has responded.
He’s now navigating complex litigation pro se while managing serious health issues.

I would not use this platform ever again. This first part is about Legalmatch. They do not have effective controls in place to regulate attroney quality. They offer a guarantee but they aren't available for any support. The 775 legalmatch phone number rings an outdated answering machine and clients are instructed to leave a voicemail which they do not respond to.
Second, the attorney quality is low. We were referred to an attorney who was retired and living abroad. He took payment for a consultation then went quiet for two days. We had to follow up three times to get a scheduled appointment. Then he showed to our scheduled paid consultation 35 minutes late! During this paid call, it became clear immediately that he had not even reviewed the materials that we provided. As a result he was not prepared to address most of the questions in the brief that we provided effectively. That is the kind of attorney that uses this platform.
I would not recommend it to anyone.

Attorneys beware of Legal Match based in Reno Nevada as a source for client leads. Legal Match is unscrupulous for their misrepresentations over inflating the amount of leads and the quality of leads seducing you into a 1 year contract that leaves you stuck making payments for a substandard service. For example, in the territory in California, costing over $1,110 a month I was advised they provide an average of 70 leads per month. The average has been less than 50. Then a representative who has apparent authority advises that they will let you out of your contract but later advises they cannot. Their overly friendliness and willingness to assist you does not make up for the lack of quality in potential clients who mostly are just looking for free legal advice, cannot afford an attorney, are seeking contingency arrangements for amounts that do not warrant the time, do not respond to you, have weak cases or no case. You spend up to 30 minutes on a consult, further time with follow up phone calls, emails, review of documents, so maybe you acquire 1-2 out of 50 that will actually retain you. After almost 7 months I have (3) clients from Legal Match. Maybe if you are lucky, you break even after all the time and effort expended, but in reality if placing a value on your time, you lose. Don’t trust them!!!

A close friend of mine, an attorney, had a frustrating and disappointing experience with LegalMatch, and based on what he shared, I think it's important to raise awareness for others considering this service. In his case, the platform did not deliver what was described in the sales presentation. He was led to believe he would receive curated, qualified leads in his practice area and jurisdiction. Instead, what he received was a series of leads that he felt were unqualified, often unresponsive, and in some cases completely irrelevant — including contacts from outside his licensed jurisdictions or unrelated legal fields. According to him, many leads had no ability or willingness to pay, and others never followed up after initial contact. He described it as a “quantity over quality” experience, which did not reflect the personalized, professional lead-matching that was promised. In his view, the service felt more like random client requests being pushed through the system — which is why he jokingly suggested they rename it “Legal Spaghetti on the Wall: Does It Stick?”
He also expressed concern about how the service was marketed — with high expectations set around the number and quality of leads and ROI — none of which matched what he experienced. On top of that, he was locked into a long-term contract with auto-renewal terms that made it difficult to cancel. He felt that the refund policy was unclear and difficult to qualify for, despite the existence of a money-back guarantee being used in promotional material. Even now, long after discontinuing the service, he continues to receive marketing emails from LegalMatch, which he has found irritating and unsolicited.
In his personal opinion, the platform did not deliver on its promises, and he did not see a return on his investment. While every attorney's experience may differ, his feedback suggests potential clients should read all terms carefully, get any claims in writing, and be cautious before committing. His experience reflects a mismatch between expectations and reality, and he would not recommend the service to colleagues.

Great company with a non-toxic culture and real growth opportunities. Sales team is supported, empowered, and rewarded. A place where you can truly thrive!

Beware of Legal Match! They fraudulently misrepresent the quality of leads they will send you before you sign up. After you sign, they send all kinds of leads, all with potential clients who have no money to pay for your services. Then Legal Match will not let you out of the contract.

I had a terrible experience. Most leads would get crushed with emails from many attorneys and when a potential client would respond they were generally annoyed do to all of the attorneys reaching out to them.

I found an awesome attorney, Erik Carter, who helped me file for divorce, and was so helpful!! I’m so glad I found him through LegwlMatch.

Did nothing but have a hundred lawyers call me, none for what I asked for, some not even the state I asked for. Finally I got a lawyer and set up a phone conversation for July 15th at 10:30 a.m. . I waited for 2 hours until I called back and they told me to wait a little longer. Well it's 2 days longer and I've had it with legal match. It would get negative two scores if I had that option.

I haven’t been able to resolve my situation, and at this point, I’m uncertain about what steps to take next. I feel completely in the dark about what options are available to me right now.

Warning to Attorneys - do NOT sign up with LegalMatch. They did not provide 1 good lead. It is a scam with huge promises and zero deliverables. They promise a Money Back Guarantee of which they do not honor. The declining of the MBG looked like a 7 year old wrote it and then they just ghost you when you want to discuss. SCAM do not sign up. Jim Val Marte, Julie Reynolds, Michelle Brown, Emily Spencer, Chantal Cook (C.J.), Ms. Hooker the whole group are con artists.
