Terrible service.

Terrible service.

Cancelled my order, but Lenovo still shipped it. Returned it (delivered 17 January) and after 3+ months still no refund.
Support keeps saying “3–5 days” with no result. Paid via Klarna and now it’s affecting my account.
Unacceptable.

I am extremely disappointed with the service of Lenovo

I am extremely disappointed with my recent experience with Lenovo. I placed an order for a standard IdeaPad laptop on December 27th, with an original delivery date of February 5th. Since then, the delivery date has been pushed back multiple times — first to March, and now all the way to May 30th. That means a total waiting time of five months for a non‑custom product, which is completely unacceptable.

Throughout this process, I have had to repeatedly contact Lenovo myself to get any form of update. Each time I reached out, I received vague promises or shifting timelines, but never a concrete solution. Even when I filed a formal complaint, the only response I received was yet another delay and a suggestion to “contact us again after delivery” to discuss compensation. That is not how customer service should work.

What makes this even more concerning is that I have seen many similar complaints online, including on Reddit, from customers facing the same extreme delays and lack of support. This suggests a broader issue with Lenovo’s logistics and communication.

I expected far better from a global brand. The lack of transparency, the constant shifting of delivery dates, and the absence of proactive support have left me with the impression that Lenovo does not take its customers seriously. At this point, I am genuinely reconsidering whether I will ever purchase from Lenovo again.

One of the worst support experiences — still no refund after two months

I returned my Lenovo order (lenovo legion offer) on 15 December 2025 via PostNL  to Lenovo’s facility in Eindhoven.
I have contact the support many times per phone and email and sent a full proof of return and provided it multiple times.
As of  15 February 2026, Lenovo has still not refunded me, even though Dutch law (Article 6:230r BW) requires refunds within 14 days.
I followed up repeatedly (January 5, 15, 22, 26), attaching all evidence, yet their representative kept replying with excuses like “logistics is still searching” or promising 3–5 business days that never happen.
This is completely unacceptable. Lenovo’s handling of refunds and customer communication is disappointing and unprofessional.
I strongly advise others to be cautious when buying directly from Lenovo.

Repair Scam - SSD Theft

1. I sent in my laptop for a straightforward keyboard repair
2. The repair took over a month to complete.
3. The device was returned to me without the SSD, rendering it completely unusable and resulting in the loss of all my data.
4. I am being accused of having removed the SSD myself—an assertion that is not only false but implies a level of technical intervention I did not perform
5. I have to pay for this "repair"

Don't order directly from Lenovo

Just don't order directly from Lenovo. The support is from India/Pakistan or some place where they don't really talk French or English and also will not help at all.

We followed the return application on Lenovo.com sent the laptop via the etiquette they provided. When we contacted support for not sending us the money back, they said that the method we used was not approved by their company so we had to ask the delivery company they provided the etiquette for to send us back the laptop for us to sent it back to them via an "approved" delivery company.

Pretty bad experience all around

Pretty bad experience all around. Takes too long to dispatch your order, they don't meet their promises in terms of deadlines. Had to cancel the order because of that. Web site is slow and buggy. Customer support is also pretty bad. You need to talk to someone to cancel the order you can't just do it like they advertise on their emails. (Self service) They also ask for many business days to refund your money. I'm definitely not buying from their store again.

Lenovo is falsely accusing me of laptop flooding without proof

In 2020 I ordered a new Thinkpad. Due to numerous mistakes on the side of Lenovo, it took about 9 months for a working laptop to arrive.

In the first 2.5 years of use, the Thinkpad subsequently had many hardware breakdowns.

After yet another hardware issue showed up in summer 2023, the IBM rep (on behalf of Lenovo) commented that if more than 3 major repairs are needed within a short period of time, Lenovo usually replaces the laptop. This had not happened (even though the Thinkpad should have qualified for that already in 2022) and he offered to open an Escalation Case (September 2023) in order to replace the faulty Thinkpad with a refurbished one.

The Escalation Case failed ( = was refused) as the Lenovo depot - to my major surprise- found 2 small liquid stains on metal underneath the keyboard. I informed Lenovo that I suspect some droplets of soup must have accidentally entered the laptop, as the Thinkpad had absolutely no known history of liquid spills.

I asked Lenovo to at least honor the fact that the Thinkpad had had many hardware breakdowns, as well as a very botched delivery history, that had nothing to do with any accidental liquid droplets. This was refused, and instead I was accused of "flooding" the laptop. The "proof" of which according to Lenovo was a sticker on the backside of the Thinkpad which had peeled on some of its sides. I informed Lenovo that absolutely no flooding of any kind had taken place, and that the fact that the sticker had somewhat come off around the edge had a completely different reason.

In the 7 months following the refused Escalation Case, the Thinkpad continued to have more hardware breakdowns till in early April 2024 the 1 year old motherboard suddenly failed = death.

Lenovo refuses any type of compensation, but moreover consistently continues to FALSELY accuse me of "flooding" the laptop on the basis of that slightly peeled sticker.

I even opened up the (now dead) laptop myself last week: zero signs of liquid having entered via the back of the laptop; zero signs of corrosion. As expected, cause the "flooding" or similar never happened. The laptop has no known history of liquid spills, and the slight peeling of the sticker on the back is the result of 'wear & tear due to mild rubbing against a folder each time the Thinkpad was placed in or taken out of the laptop compartment of my backpack.

LENOVO ( REP: MORRISON), it's worse enough that you have provided very poor customer service but it's DEPLORABLE TO TIME AND AGAIN FALSELY ACCUSE A CLIENT AND IN ESSENCE SUGGEST THAT THE CLIENT IS LYING, ON THE BASIS OF INCORRECT "PROOF". STOP YOUR LIES!

Getting rid of Lenovo forever.

Need a new tablet? Look for any brand, but NOT LENOVO. I got myself a Lenovo P12 Pro device, around 750€ (official store), the tissues I used to dry my tears, time using it, could cover a hall entrance tapestry.

1. With each mini-update, your settings might change unadvertidly, and you will never find out how to get them back. In this case, just the minimum of stuoid examples - all tabs became pink. [Wthf and Why???] No, there is no way to change that, tried them all.
Please, if you own it, make sure to toggle off the auto-updates.

2. You need a university degree in computerland to read all the "help" information on their support site to solve a simple issue. NO - you can't reach their Customer Support easily to address a question. Instead, you must talk to Lena first - the most dumb AI ever. It does not comprehend any of your questions and keeps redirecting you to the useless links.
Imho, things should be just a tiny bit more simple.

3. The worse touch-screen I've ever used. Cannot access the latest used apps by swiping, while just yesterday, before the last update, it worked fine.

4. Pen 3 - looks nice, use it twice, then it dies.

Bottom line: NEVER AGAIN will Lenovo see me as a customer. Thanks but no, thanks.

DON'T buy from here (Updated 4/9/24)

Don't buy from here! 1800€ Laptop Lenovo legion 5 pro suddenly won't boot, luckyli I got the 2 year premium warranty care so they offer a onsite repair (to replace probably the mobo). However... because I didn't buy the 1 year warranty for a silly 20euro to replace my SSD all my data will be lost. I asked for a additional service for the lenovo technician to save the SSD first but they deny due to a compromise of my personal data, according to the customer support, do they even care? Rather destroy everything, absolutely ridiculous, makes me so mad. If a choose to save my SSD to save my important data at a shop in my town, the warranty from Lenovo will be cancelled and if it is a faulty laptop I can't get my money back... hellish and unbelievable, I don't even want the warranty repair I just want my money back from the pc and say bye to all my data and forget about it all. If anyone have a good solution on this I would love to hear from you! Or if there is none, can we please bring them to court and see if we can shut it down so no one else has to go through this stupidity.

UPDATED:
One day after a week with so many phone calls talking to many different departments - I thought to give it one last try before giving up, I was finally forwarded and met with the technical department I believe. They sent me a technician from IBM who couldn't guarantee my data but seemed to care and managed to install everything without data loss. Thank you!

Just unbelievably bad

Just unbelievably bad.

I have now been trying to get my laptop (ThinkBook Plus Gen 3, 17") repaired for three months. Lenovo is as committed to refusing to honor the (very expensive) same day on site warranty I purchased, as they are to failing to actually repair the laptop. After it being in the repair depot for a month (itself a 4 hour round trip bus ride from my home) awaiting an on-order part I chose to pick it up as is (the repair was to a physical and not software defect). I brought it home and replaced the SSD card, only to find a blue screen of death preventing me from doing anything else. The repair people also bafflingly lost all the bottom plate screws and left a small bag with a single screw taped to the inside.

If you buy a Lenovo product there is a good chance that it will break. And WHEN it breaks, they will not honor any warranties you purchased.

Steer clear!

My tablet got lost and no refund in over a month...

My tablet got lost and no refund in over a month...

I have ordered a tablet in the beginning of January. They told me to cancel my order if I want because the sending time is more than what they promise. I cancelled it, however it got sent nevertheless.

Messaged support, no problem, refuse it or not pick it up and it is going to be sent back, and I'm going to get refunded.

No. They deliver with UPS. UPS is absolutely chaotic. They said they tried to deliver but I was not home (no one even rang the bell), then they were trying to deliver it to a pick up point, it stayed there, then it got LOST. After calling they found it (?) and delivered it to another pick up point. Then it was showing that I already received my package and it cannot be sent back.

So obviously, I do not have my package with me. I have contacted Lenovo over 10 times at this point to get my refund but they absolutely do not care. It's always the "I have forwarded it already, it is in a process" or "the refund takes 5-7 business days".

So after 1,5 month of ordering the tablet, I still do not have my refund, nor the tablet. Might take legal action soon, as I do not think they intend to refund me at this point.
