We are sorry to read your review, however we must clarify the facts of this case.
The package you returned did not contain all the required shipping details, specifically the company ID number that is clearly stated on our website as mandatory for all returns. Because of this omission, the logistics partner was not able to correctly identify and forward the parcel to our warehouse.
Please also note that the address you used is not our direct company address but the address of our logistics partner, who automatically forwards parcels to us. Without the correct information on the label, the parcel could not be processed as intended.
We have nevertheless been in continuous contact with the carrier in an effort to locate your parcel, even though the mistake originated from your incomplete shipping information.

Avoid 4barista – No Warranty, No Accountability, Blames Customer
1. The Staresso machine is not damaged — the only part affected was the basket, which became stuck. The machine itself is completely intact and unused beyond this first attempt.
2. The aftermarket basket is 53mm, the same size specified on the official Staresso website. It is marketed as compatible. Blaming customers for using parts that are explicitly listed as supported is dishonest.
3. Yes, I tried to remove the basket—carefully at first, and only resorted to tools after it became impossible to remove by hand. The fact that it seized on day one is the real issue here. If a "compatible" basket gets stuck immediately and cannot be removed without tools, that’s a flaw in design or tolerances—not user abuse.
4. Nowhere on your site do you warn that use of a standard 53mm basket would void the warranty. If that’s your position, it should be made clear up front.
5. Regarding materials: your product page says the chamber is stainless steel. It is not disclosed that there is plastic in contact with hot water, which is misleading by omission. Your reply again avoids taking responsibility by playing with technicalities like “we never said 100%.”
Finally, your comment about "threats" is an unprofessional attempt to discredit me publicly. I’ve asked for a fair resolution through proper channels. Exposing a company’s refusal to honor basic warranty obligations is not a threat—it’s accountability.

You contacted us reporting that an aftermarket (non-original) basket got stuck inside your Staresso machine. You told us, and sent photos showing that you tried to remove the basket using pliers and a hammer, which resulted in the basket being completely destroyed and the basket holder damaged. Using non-original accessories that are not designed for the machine is always at the user’s own risk, even if it’s not explicitly stated on the website. It is generally expected that customers use compatible, manufacturer-approved parts.
Attempting to remove a stuck basket with a hammer is not considered proper use and is a key reason why we cannot accept this as a warranty claim.
Regarding materials, we clearly state that plastic parts are BPA-free. We have never claimed that the machine has a “100% stainless steel water path.” That phrase is not part of any official product description or communication from us, so it is misleading to suggest we provided false information.
We would like to make it clear that we treat all customers equally and fairly, and we do not accept threats as a means of resolving disputes.

Buying was just like any other online shopping: you choose the product, you pay, and then it gets sent to you.
What made my experience so great is the fact that the product was sent in a timely manner and extremely well packed. Besides that, it was included in the package a document with a lot of additional information on how to make the best usage of the espresso machine I bought.
