LET Online Courses
The LET online course in WHS provided plenty of flexibility in the learning modules and in delivering assessments. Extremely helpful assessor who provided guidance throughout the course with candid and helpful feedback for each assessment. Thanks.
I found the organisation from Admin staff through to Assessors to be polite, very helpful and responded almost immediately to queries.
I would highly recommend LET for online studies.

My training through Let training has…
My training through Let training has been a very positive experience for me. The mentoring system is fantastic, even when I had problems, the mentors helped without judging me. It is a very non-threatening experience. As I suffer from anxiety this approach was perfect. It took me a long time to actually enroll but once I spoke to my mentor I felt supported. I would definitely refer others to train or retrain through Let Training.

Let training review
I have been reluctant to write this review and I have only done so to promote some thought to enhancing/correcting the course.
The training package got off to a bad start in that it became apparent that quite a number of questions were poorly written. The use of the term "How would you" leads to any answer being correct as it would be how I would do it, yet that was not the case.
The questions not only require interpretation to answer, you quite often need to second guess the interpretation of the assessor as well. I do have a certificate "Address Adult Language, Literacy and Numeracy Skills" (TAELLN411) but I wonder if the author of this program does. I believe my command of "English" is better than average but I despair for anyone who has English as a second language.
My assessor has been patient and given good direction, but I would suggest that they try not to slip into condescension. I have read the information concerning the unit that I am currently attempting and find that a number of questions have been written as statements and therefore the answers may be a bit of a guess. As well it seems a bit convoluted and confusing. It is pleasing that we have three submissions.
Finally, I registered for the course because I was told that it recognized "Victorian" Legislation more than most. In this module we seem to have forgotten that idea.

Assessment 1 is only available on line & content covers the module. This does not allow you to read the module to locate the answers & then complete on line.
Many of the assessment questions are not clear enough that you are second guessing there meaning & at times you feel like you are second guessing the assessor interpretation of the question. The learning modules are not definitive enough to provide
Direction in answering the question.
The provided scenarios are too limited & do not provide enough information to answer some questions. The option of using the Victorian legislation is very limited & I question the usefulness of the course in Victoria. Many of the questions refer only to WHS.
Due to these issues it seems that you are better off submitting your first assessment in a cursory fashion & then work with the assessor comments just so you can get the motivation to continue with the course

Constructive feedback
I find the reading material easy enough to understand, however when it comes to the assessment material, the layout of what is required can be over complicated making in confusing to get a clear understanding of what is required.

Your workbooks and Learning Modules are easy to read and understand. My assessments are marked very quickly and results returned within a day of being submitted. Webnairs are also another great tool to use for learning and assessments.

My tutor is great
My tutor is great, always ready to help but the website needs works. Having to in and out of different areas is difficult. Also the webinars should be revamped, some of us haven’t studied for years and the webinars need to be more clear.

I am happy with the website and the theory part of the assessments. But the practical assessments in my opinion are unclear, messy and repetitive. Its almost impossible to understand these assessments. Quite frustrating.

Booklets, questions, marks and information in assisting with corrections.
I am doing a Certificate 4 in WHS. With my Recognition of Prior Learning due to my current Certificate 4 in OHS I have had a fair reduction in my WHS tasks. I appreciate the information given to me when I come across an incorrect answer to a question my assessment is asking me to answer. This information makes it easier for me to understand where I went wrong with the answer and not just letting me know I went wrong. Thank you.
