We have been living in Bauer Landing…
We have been living in Bauer Landing for 4 years now. When we first moved in, the cabinets starting falling apart . The tiles started cracking in the dining room and kitchen. Water was leaking out of the hallway light fixture. Now there is mold in that area. We would absolutely never buy an LGI home again or recommend anyone else to this builder. We regret buying this home.

If I could go back and do it all over…
If I could go back and do it all over again, I would and not with LGI. From the first day they started building my house, there were issues. Gaps in the floor, moldy wood used in the structure. Even found that someONE not something urinated on the subfloor in the master walk-in closet. I’ve had MULTIPLE windows just fall off the track at me. Pot lights just fall out of the ceiling. All of my floors are uneven upstairs and none of the structural issues that were supposed to be addressed before the build continued were fixed. They just hid everything behind the drywall. The person “helping” with service tickets is one of the worst people I’ve ever dealt with and I’m from NYC. He belittles me and acts like I’m making up issues so he doesn’t have to put work orders in to fix things. We are currently dealing with Hurricane Ian and I just found out that one of my front windows is leaking BAD. I’ve worked so hard to give my daughter and myself a better life and this company has both taken advantage of and neglected us horribly. I HIGHLY recommend you find some other home to buy and stay very far away from these builders.

Terrible company that doesn't honor…
Terrible company that doesn't honor their new home warranties. Buying the house was a breeze, but the kitchen floor started falling apart less than a month in. Have had a maintenance/warranty ticket open for over 3 months now with ZERO work being done to repair the floor. Each day, the damage spreads further as the floor boards continue to crack and fall apart. Do not buy from LGI!

If i can give zero I can
If i can give zero I can! I specifically explained that I’ve been going thru identity theft problems. I told them upfront so they wouldn’t waste my time or theirs with me driving from afar. I get there and basically they couldn’t help me! Why do y’all waste people time??? Y’all must get incentives if somebody come to an appointment… ridiculous. Won’t never recommend anybody to this company

Best house buying experience
Everything from picking out a floor plan to signing the closing documents was easy and organized. Everybody we met within the LGI family has been nothing but positive, friendly and knowledgeable, especially Steven.

they will set you up to fail take deposit
This place is a joke they will set you up for failure and all they want is the 1000 deposit then they make it impossible to go forward and make sure you do bot get your money back or get options to get this back. This has nothing to do with loan company but they are questionable too . Wouldn't you know they canceled instead of denying loan. Which made it so im not illegible for my payment lie lie lie .they took my 1000 and refused to return it after they made it impossible by cx appointments and giving me runaround. He said she said . Total discrimination and they love vulnerable people so beware

Disappointed
Everything was perfect until the week of closing. They never scheduled a walk through, it was only hours before the closing. We walked through and I asked for a few things to be fixed like: holes in the drywall, a window would get stuck when opened, the bathroom fan was hanging from the ceiling, one of our front windows did not have an exterior window shutter, the crawl space was full of trash, there was a gap between the floor and the cabinets. They said they would get all of that done within the next day. Nothing was done, even my house key did not work. After a few days they had nothing of excuses of why they didn’t fix it, plus they would schedule another date and would never show up. After about a month of non stop calls from my part, we got a few things fixed. But as of now they’re still a few things they never fixed. I’m still waiting.

I can’t complain too much
The buying process was smooth and hassle free. My sales agent, Cesar was very helpful and committed to answering all questions I had whether it was during business hours or not.
The home is very efficient but there are some areas where you can tell LGI clearly cuts corners. Most of the items I am referring to are insignificant but noticeable once you get settled in to the home.
The only significant complaint I have is with the lawn and landscaping. The sod was laid poorly with lack of attention to detail. Some of the sod was only weeds and there were clear gaps between sod pieces throughout the front yard. They also did not water the lawn frequently enough to keep it alive prior to the purchase. I ended up having part of the lawn done by actual professionals since LGI did not hire the right company to do their landscaping. Prepare to pay around $8000 to have sprinklers and sod installed after your purchase.
All things considered, I am pleased with the home that I purchased.

Would of been 5 stars but a couple…
Would of been 5 stars but a couple issues that I felt deserved the downgrade. No back yard that I didn't know about and am having to do myself also I was kind of the guinea pig. Mailbox keys were not as stated, or paint coupon, or blinds actually. Updated information for the crew doing the final inspection would be ideal. Thank you!

Switch and bait sales practice
I was working with Ben Woodlee for buying investment property at Anna TX. At the time of signing and later he keep on telling that LGI Homes will pay certain number of incentives.
House has some great grading/drainage issue which even City of Anna raised objections. This information, LGI wanted to hide from me. He moved the closing twice by more than 45 days. There were other serious issues but Mr. Ben Woodlee just want me take the possession. I requested to get the engineering inspection done at my cost but LGI not willing to sign the paper-work(more than 4 weeks now). Mr. Ben moved the closing another time to 8th Aug 2022 on phone. Then all of a sudden one fine day stated that I need to close in next 48 hours(i.e. 29th Jul 2022) otherwise LGI will cancel the contract. LGI doesn't want to take care of the issues found by us and instead want to rush for the closing. Title doesn't have my wife's name. Moreover, when talking about incentives, Mr. Ben has a totally different version about it and denying it out rightly. Typical switch and bait sales practice and no customer service. Wanted to talk to his supervisor but no response. Tried calling the corporate - their front desk has generic mailbox. They have seriously took advantage of buyers during pandemic when the supply was short. Never been thru such a stressful closing experience with Builder backtracking from all the promises. It seems in this world there is no value for stated words.

We were fist time homebuyers
We were fist time homebuyers. Process was ok. Purchase home in early 2020,everyone was kind and very informative in the process. The only issue is,I want new home owners to be informed. Check warranty and purchase other warranty insurance. It’s two years for us and our panel and breaker is bad. Due to improper installation, and the warranty only cover’s a year on a new home. The 2/10 warranty we purchase will not cover it,homeowners insurance want cover either. So just asking new homebuyers please do your homework and ask questions. Go into details of what’s cover in these warranties and how long.

Hector V from LGI
Saw LGI new built on Zillow & decided to have my realtor reach out to one of the LGI sales. Our realtor was connected to Hector V & had offered us the last floor plan that was available on the lot. This was our first home & we didn’t believe it when Hector said how easy it was to buy a home, very easy that we really didn’t need a realtor to buy. Hector was such an amazing person to work it! From start to finish, he answered ALL our questions & reassured us that we won’t loose sleep. Loan officers that they work with were really knowledgeable & made sure to answer every first home owner questions! They made such a great team combined! I really recommend LGI for people trying to buy their first home in this booming market & recommend to work with Hector!

Overall AMAZING!!!
Overall AMAZING!!!
Brittany W. was the most wonderful and helpful person that we could have hoped for through this experience. She listened to us, advocated for us, and we think very highly of her! We loved working with her to find our home. She's amazing!
Our neighbors are sweet and kind, we have liked them all so far. It's a community where people wave to each other, say hello, and where you learn your neighbors' names.
The ONLY reason I didn't give LGI 5 stars is because the warranty process is very slow, and it feels like you're shouting into the void because there is no communication once you put in a request. We are still waiting on our screens for our windows, but we do love our home!
