It’s now over 3 years - yes, 3 YEARS!!! - since I lost 3 stone in 3 months with Georgina Walsh as my LighterLife mentor, and I’m still around my target weight and have been ever since thanks to her and her maintenance group. Georgina is always there for us, and she’s really helped us bond as a supportive group. Each week she encourages us and gives us a focus to help keep us in balance. Every day she posts a positive thought for us. I don’t think I could have kept the weight off without her wisdom and support. I know with Georgina’s help I’m never going back from my lighter life.

I have completed the Lighterlife diet twice, but with a period of 17 year between them (2006 and 2023). Both experiences have been successful mainly due to the support of my mentor (Natalie) who guides you through the process and is constantly there to offer advice and encouragement. The weekly zoom sessions provide an opportunity to learn more about our thinking processes and decision making and the group, as a whole, become a support mechanism. I would recommend Lighterlife to any friends who are struggling with weight issues.

I've tried similar diets to Lighterlife in the past and not been able to keep the weight off, with Lighterlife though I feel that this won't be a problem though because of the support groups that I can access even when not on Total Plan

I've had such a great journey on LL so far, lost about 2st in 3 months (not because of the plan but because I went off plans on holidays etc). My mentor Neil is amazing and always provokes great reflections and conversations, meaning that along with the weight loss comes a change of mindset too. I go for group meeting regularly, everyone there is supportive and they all had great experiences which they share candidly. Joing LL is probably one of my best decisions in 2024. Other staff are also helpful and very responsive if you have a question and most food packs are delicious (it's a matter of taste). I also find inspiration and support on the WhatsApp and Facebook groups, and by reading the blog and success stories regularly.

I have completed lighterlife several times over the years. It does work. So thought I'd have another go...
Having read all the reviews below...it seems every time the mentor 'Niel' has a success story they are signposted here to comment.
Well done for your weight loss. It is hard work. Food addiction is very hard to overcome.
Having come back lighterlife don't seem to have moved with the times...Why are lighterlife choosing to use ultra processed ingredients? Have you not read Dr Chris Van Tullekens book: ultra processed people? It's clear you are profit margin driven!!!
My main issue is I feel I've been trapped into your subscription offers. Don't be tempted. You can't leave or give back the product...only pay to exit.
I'm still going to struggle with my food addiction for now!

I joined LL after gaining 30lbs during cancer treatment. I tried various other diets but always struggled to stay on track. LL is so easy, no weighing, no measuring, no calorie calculation. My mentor Neil Spencer is an amazing support to me, a very good listener & always gives sensible & achievable feedback.

Lighter life has been fantastic for me .. it literally was my only hope as I have medically induced weight gain and a terrible back .. hence I couldn’t move much. Lighter life is delivered to my home and I have the most incredible mentor Neil , who runs a what’s app support group and multiple zoom meetings a week. I get so much support along my journey.,, I get the nutrients and vitamins I need for my gut and organ health and the rest comes from my stored body fat.. you lose weight very quickly and it’s very rewarding. I am not hungry at all , I fact ketosis means you don’t feel physical hunger which is a huge help!! You can’t get this comfort and nutrients easily from a very low carb normal food diet. If you are in any doubt .. try it … I firmly believe it has saved me from a life in a wheelchair that was looming in my very near future !!coincidentally my crippling migraines have stopped too !!

I had a great mentor Neil Spencer, he’s support and advice were so important for me, that made my whole weight loss journey go so smoothly.
Even when I needed to come off plan for a medical reason he was in constant contact, great diet and great mentor.
If anyone is thinking of doing this diet, go for it, you get a great mentor and a great weight loss.

I lost nearly 4 stones with Lighter Life many moons ago and maintained for nearly 2 decades until a series of sad events happened & my weight crept back up.
I now have 3 stones to lose. I’m back on it because I know it is the only thing that works. Not at goal weight yet but well on the way.
After just 9 weeks I have lost almost lost 2 stone, my BMI is in the healthy range, my cholesterol is down from 8.6 to 3.3 and my painful knee hurts much less. Another stone down and I may not need the knee replacement.
Some people have said it is expensive, well it’s effective! You get lovely food with 100% nourishment, amazing support from a mentor offering CBT and mindfulness as well as incredible knowledge and understanding about weight loss - behaviour, habits, emotional responses. Thank you so very much Laura. And the staff at HQ are great as well, thank you Christine and Sam.
You can’t put a price on good health.
If anyone out there wants to get their life back, as I have, I highly recommend Lighter Life.

Lighter Life does work. Its not magical but with will power its effective. I lost 2 stones on it after lockdown and maintained the loss reasonably effortlessly, using LL packs which I bought regularly. But somethings happened. It was never a cheap option but maybe LL have become too greedy. Because the cost of packs has gone up so much that using them regularly for maintenance is no longer practical, unless you're very well off. It's a real shame.

Very misleading..Great mentor support.. NOT! I couldn't MAKE IT to a online group meeting and never sent my weight in. I was asked to leave the group ... I did complain about the mentor Heorgina Walsh but it fell on deaf ears.. I was supposed to get a call back..never did..
I also had money taken from my account for products I didn't receive...I'm still in process of trying to get my money back...

I’d not heard about LL until my partner decided to give it a try. However, the food packs sat in a box for weeks until, in my frustration, I decided that I’d not waste the opportunity ‘to lose a stone quickly’.

Fast forward 11 months, I’m now 3.5 stone lighter & have been maintaining this for several months! As I write this review & reflect on how I got here it’s now clear to me that this ‘diet’ is not about food at all. Instead it focusses on identifying behaviours, habits or emotional responses which have lead to weight gain.

Using the food packs, & most importantly the mentor led sessions, you get the mental space to explore your awareness of how you react to food, the impact it has & explore what small habitual, mental changes are required for a more balanced relationship with food.

Having been through the process himself, my mentor Neil gave me the opportunity for self enquiry, supporting without judgement, guiding me through some rather painful realisations, which has led to not just weight loss but also life changing decisions. If you feel it’s time for change, then this might possibly be the best decision you ever make.

The journey of weight loss can be really daunting, but having the right support can make all the difference. My short experience with Lighter Life has already been transformative (I’m about to start Week 5 and have lost 18lbs). This is mostly due to some hard work on my part but mainly the incredible support and guidance of my mentor, Neil Spencer.

Neil is so encouraging and supportive. LL is known for its structured approach using food packs and regular meetings with individual check-ins and CBT, all aimed at us identifying our own challenges with food and identifying ways to create lasting ways of change. Neil offers kindness and continual support every step of the way. While also challenging you to really look deep into your decisions and actions.

There is a real sense of community in the group meetings facilitated by Neil. He ensures that each group member feels heard and valued, creating a supportive environment where everyone can learn and share experiences in a safe space. Neil guides us with mental and emotional challenges encouraging us to dig deep in understanding those thought patterns and developing healthier ones, essential for sustainable weight loss.

Aside of the weekly meetings Neil checks in with me each week if all is ok and he is available to contact if I am struggling. In fact he text me every day of my first week which was unlike anything else I have ever experienced before with any other weight loss programme.

For anyone considering the Lighter Life program, it is crucial to have support both at home and through LL and if you are lucky enough to have a mentor like Neil and follow the programme you will not only achieve your weight loss goals but also embark on a journey of self-discovery and lasting change.

LighterLife isn’t just a diet, it’s a way to learn how to lose weight and then keep it off. There is a large enough variety of choices to keep my meals varied and interesting, and on the Total plan I have never felt hungry. I was surprised how quickly I adapted my daily routines away from cooking meals – and even more so at how quickly the weight dropped off me. 9 stone in 9 months! The real benefit about LighterLife is the support from my mentor, Neil Spencer, and the rest of the Monday evening group. Neil has been great in helping all of us learn to challenge ourselves and ask ourselves what we’re thinking or feeling at any given time. Neil’s enthusiasm for his Group means everyone is incredibly supportive of each other. And being part of a Group has played such an important part in my success. For anyone looking for a way to lose weight and keep it off, LighterLife is the key to your success – and I’d recommend joining Neil’s group too!

Lighterlife (LL) has really helped me understand and improve my relationship with food. It takes the stress out of calorie counting and concerns that you’re achieving optimal nutrition, also the packs are delicious. My favorites are the pasta carbonara, fast pots and crispy peanut bar.

What makes Lighterlife different from other VLCD plans is the added bonus of having a mentor and weekly group CBT sessions. Neil Spencer is such an amazing and supportive mentor. He totally understands the challenges of overcoming unhealthy food habits and guides you through these with an abundant amount of patience and kindness.

I’m still navigating my way through my LL journey and face daily challenges, however this is made easier with Neil and my fellow LL friends support.

I had reached the point of believing I will be fat for ever, knowing my solo attempts to lose weight had failed. This was my ‘rock bottom ‘. I called Lighter Life and spoke with Neil with little expectation. He was immediately so warm and understanding and helped me to begin believing I could do this!
