Ordered a tote bag to the store. The employees were miserable and reluctant to help me as a customer. I was told it could take between 7-10 days to arrive and that I'd get a call when it arrived. A few days later, I received an email from Linen Chest to say the bag was on its way. No call came to let me know it was in. I waited a week and went into the store today. There were now three of the same model tote bag on the shelf and when I explained this to the manager (Elan) and said I assumed that, if they had received new stock, surely mine was in. He told me "maybe not"!?!? So "my bag" is somehow different than the ones of the shelf because it's prepaid and you can hold it hostage. The manager ends up getting my item out of the back and I ask him when it arrived and why no phone call. He shrugged his shoulders and said "it must have slipped through the cracks". I asked if he thought that was a problem and he said "yeah, but we're fixing it. I'm giving it to you now." No, buddy, you giving me the bag I paid for and continuing the apathetic customer service is not "fixing" anything. He barely apologized. I will NEVER go back to Linen Chest. I see from the reviews here there is ZERO customer service integrity.

I bought a glass table. The legs were delivered. The table top was not. After tracking this with the courier it turned out this had been sat with the courier for a week, after 4 calls to the courier they told me they had broken it and were going to return this to the linen chest. Linen chest are impossible to get hold of - their ‘live chat’ is a chatbot with limited options that doesn’t ever end up with a human at the end of it. It ends with an email being sent to which I have had no reply. I have been into the local store to ask for help and they told me that the website is a separate business and that they cannot help me - they even sympathized with me about the fact linen chest had cut customer service staff and no longer had a phone number….but could do nothing to help. I have tried calling the head office - you cannot get to a human. All I want at this point is a replacement table top sent to me ASAP or a refund - it’s now at least 10 days later than promised. If anyone from linen chest is reading this - my order number is 83765988. Please contact me to resolve this!!!

I ordered a rug online. It said it would take 2-3 business days to ship. It's now saying that it won't be shipped until the end of the month (almost a month after I placed the order). I have submitted two tickets to their website and have emailed twice to cancel the order. No one has contacted me. The shipping date each week goes up by a week. First it was August 16th (two weeks after order), then it was August 23rd, then August 26th, now August 31st, but they won't let me cancel the order. Also, their "live chat" isn't with an actual human, which is really frustrating.

Arguably the worst customer service I’ve ever received because it’s non existent.
I ordered two gusto dinnerware sets from this company after reading several terrible reviews because I liked the product and thought I would give it a shot.
As the previous review, the dinnerware sets arrived but everything was broken and shattered inside.
I’ve tried calling and emailing with no response. Whoever is managing this department needs to be fired. Without customer service a business is losing so much potential growth and opportunity. Shame.

We purchased a PRIMA Ultra down comforter on January 04, 2024, one of Linen Chest's most expensive comforters.
Since our purchase, the comforter has been losing an abnormally high quantity of feathers, despite the fact that we've used it countless times.
This is the second comforter we've bought from Linen Chest: both have the same problem of feathers escaping from the comforter. They're everywhere!
The quality is more than disappointing and we have no possibility of a refund.
We went to the Carrefour Laval branch to resolve the situation, but there was no openness to other solutions to this problem. The only option open to us is to exchange it for another comforter of the same brand, with the same feather problem.
The chances are slim that of the two comforters we've bought, both are "defective". We just want to get rid of this poor-quality down and get a refund and we're unable !!!

If I could give 0 stars I would.
I placed an order for the iRobot that was on sale recently and received the confirmation email. The following day I received an email from David informing me that my order was canceled, because they “messed up” the price for the item. Funny how they have a 1 year lowest price guarantee and they apparently “stand by our prices online and in store for a full year” but in reality they only do that when they feel like it.

I wish I could not even give a 1 star! Worst customer service, I ordered an item and was under the impression that the item would be shipped in 1 to 3 business days the order would charge my credit card. Well I turns out that my credit card was charged immediately when order submitted. My order would ship a week later, as time went by the shipping date would increase by 1 day! When I checked the tracking number through CanPar they advised it was not in their system! I contacted the online customer service email as of 24 hours later I have not heard anything from them. I still do not know if and when I will receive my order even though I paid for it over 2 weeks ago. Absolutely horrible customer service I will never order anything online with this company again and do not recommend anyone else do either!
Part 2) when our product finally arrived it was damaged in transit…still a bit of a hassle to get the item to be returned. As there is no direct customer service representative contact via telephone, all communication is through email which takes up to 24th to get a reply. I did both the email contact and the Chat option during the specified hours. This Chat method was the faster way to communicate with Linen Chest by far, maybe 4 hours max to get this return sorted out to be sent back.
So, moving forward for me I may have to stick with making in store purchases only as the customer service model Linen Chest is using for online orders is not easy and not efficient when there is an issue with your order. Once the return was received on their end I was contacted to be advised the credit was applied to my card.

Never again. Ordering online for same-day pickup in-store was a nightmare. I arrived before my order was ready (without realizing) and was aggressively reprimanded by the staff for being too early (my bad, I don’t mind waiting a bit). First they told me it “hadn’t arrived”, I pointed out that the item I had ordered was literally right next to the checkout. Then they said I could cancel my (discounted) online order and buy it full price in person. Then when I asked when approximately it would be ready, they refused to answer. Finally they asked another staff member to prepare the order, who grabbed it from next to the checkout and said it would still take a long time for the “system” to process the order. So I waited for an hour, within view of the staff, for my single small item to be ready. I kept checking the order status online just in case, no change. Then I happened to check my email and saw that it had been ready for twenty minutes and they didn’t tell me! Absolutely ridiculous process. I don’t know if Linen Chest has the worst inventory system of all time, the staff were purposefully wasting my time, or both. Either way when it takes six employees, on a quiet day, an entire hour to give you an item you already paid for, that is a company culture problem. I’m sure they aren’t paid a living wage so that might be a place for Linen Chest to start.

Absolutely terrible "customer service". They were fast to ship my order that never made it as it was delivered elsewhere, and then took more than three weeks to not respond. I ended up disputing through PayPal, and then suddenly received a response the very next day that they were "looking into it". They would not address the actual issue or request for refund despite repeating this again and again...very dismissive, and poor responses. I was told it had to be investigated through CanPar (not my choice in shipping company, also not my problem). Then low key threatened that I had to close my case with PayPal to proceed, even though that was the only way I could get a refund at this point, because what...I'm supposed to trust them? PayPal was also "waiting on response from seller)...Somehow they miraculously found a way to refund me, and then the case with PayPal was closed.
Took about a month (past when it was supposed to be delivered...late as well), and this wasn't a busy period for them so I can't even imagine the drama around the holidays.

Complicated customer support after sale. It has been a year that my store doesn't properly work with the remote control. I have texted multiple times, finally reached someone over the phone to be told that a technician was going to come and it would cost me $160 (paid upfront). I had made a large order. In the end they accommodated my request but it took a while.

Terrible customer service and marginal product quality at a premium price. I ordered a flannel duvet cover and was making the bed and caught a broken fingernail and the cover ripped. It was only used a month. I sent pictures and asked for a refund, after 2 chats supposedly I was to get an email within a few hours with a return coupon and after sending it back they would credit me. Well 5 days now and no email and honestly I don’t trust them to credit me and then I will have nothing. UPDATE: Linen Chest reached out after this review and refunded my money without returning the item. I still believe a customer shouldn’t have to work this hard to get customer service

I’ve had the worst experience with this store and the only reason I’m giving it a 2 star rating is because of the lovely ladies that work at Mapleview!! I placed an order for Boxing Day, my first shipment came broken and the rest of my shipment had 3 missing items. It’s been over 2 weeks since I’ve emailed and I still haven’t received a response. It should not take this long to respond to a customer and get the issue resolved. It’s an unfortunate experience because I genuinely like the items they carry

It took 1 week for my online order to be prepared. It was supposed to be delivered on January 8, but unfortunately it didn't happen, I couldn't even reach the customer service, I had a ridiculous online chat and couldn't talk to anyone. It's now almost January 10th and I still don't have my order and I haven't been able to reach anyone.

Absolutely insane lack of customer support. Their "onlinechat" option is just an unsophisticated automated system that provides zero help. Call the stores, and they are useless with online orders. And have sent several emails with no response. Placed an order on black Friday and it has been delayed 3 times now and not expected until March. I finally found a 1800 number and i was told the order was canceled but have not received any confirmation of this. So I am expected to get charged once this does ship in 3 months and I feel sorry for whoever has to deal with me on that return. Never again will I buy from this place.

Do not order from this company if you actually want to receive the items. Order placed November 16, told 3 business days to ship, as of Dec 11, still no shipment. When I check order status the shipment date is pushed later and later. Multiple chat support sessions promised me this would ship, but here we are. A very disappointing customer service experience and now too late to get these items ordered for Xmas.

Wish I could give zero stars. I never write reviews but people need to be aware of this. Absolutely worst customer service I've ever experienced. I ordered online a lamp almost a month ago. Received an email saying it's been shipped. Tracking number is not working. Impossible to get ahold of anyone or have any updates as to where my order is. Rude and very disrespectful staff when you call in store. Customer service for online orders is quite literally non existent. Don't ever buy from them there's plenty of other stores you can give your money to that will treat you with decency and have better business practices. Do better Linen Chest, truly.

I tried to get someone to speak to me about a delivery but got nothing. The item was delivered on my front porch without any notice. There was no communication on the time of delivery. It was a $2200 chair. Thank goodness I came home in time for it not to get stolen or damaged by the weather.
