I love the Lingoda teachers, the materials and the flexibility. I did a Sprint in Spanish - an hour small group lesson every other day for 2 months, scheduled whenever I wanted. It is a great, systematic and enjoyable way to become conversational in a new language in a short time.

I unexpectedly missed a class and reached out for help. The representative clearly explained my options, and once I submitted the required information, I received a response within a few hours. I’ve been enjoying the classes and learning a lot, and this recent customer service experience reinforced my decision to continue with their language courses.

You are reading and speaking from day 1. Great approach!

The diversity of the teachers, the structure of the materials, specially the exercises for preparing a class and after that.
More the 99% of the teachers are good prepared for their classes and are good motivators.

I love the content. I do not like the fact that I have to purchase 5 lessons per month when I really can only use 4 lessons per month.
I wish there was a way that we could request a certain instructor. For instance, at my last lesson, comments were made for me to improve upon. I totally agree. I wish that I could somehow repeat that lesson or the next one (for instance) with the same instructor to work on those criticisms so I could improve. Yes, I could do a private lesson but I could not request the same instructor. I also wish that there was some "extra" courses to specifically work on speaking, speaking flow, etc. Not written learning but more on spoken learning.

I love the classes themselves and the teachers have all been so great (I'm very impressed) but the new Lingoda classroom has had a lot of issues. I had to log out and log back into my last class three times. I would prefer if they just used Zoom

Personable tutors, a great variety of people teaching as well as types of classes. I like how it doesn't limit you to a specific lesson or order in which you must take the classes. It recommends an order but at the end of the day you have the freedom to take whatever interests you.
Some teachers are a bit relaxed or distracted during sessions and do not provide the best feedback, but most are very kind and helpful. Some go above and beyond!!

I have been using Lingoda to learn German for a few years now. For more advanced language learners, I often found conversation classes less valuable than they are at lower levels. At C1+, I really appreciate having targeted lessons on a wide range of topics, for example: German romantic painters; negotiation and conflict resolution; haptic technology, etc. Having a detailed lesson topic is helpful compared to talking about one's own interests in conversational classes. The task of learning a new language is to learn to talk about anything and everything!
The vast majority of the teachers are genuinely enthused about teaching languages and quickly create a safe, calm, but constructive learning atmosphere.
Also, I have only ever contacted support twice, but on each occasion, they gave really detailed responses and, more importantly, resolved my problems.

The flexibility is great for me.
The fact that I can choose a class almost anytime I want is working excellent for me.

Classes are convenient to schedule and having a variety of teachers exposes me to multiple accents and teaching styles, which I appreciate.

It used to be better. I really enjoyed their marathon experience and even managed to finish it. And I actually enjoy having different teachers. However, now they have removed the possibility to pause the subscription for more than 1 months, and almost every month you need to pay. The minimum is 5 lessons per months. I am not managing to do the lessons and the review of the material at the same time. In the end, my lessons keep getting accumulated and I am not able to finish them, though I want to stop using the platform. Overall, it seems like they are building a mechanism to hold students as much as possible and to "suck" their money. It is not very pleasant feeling to be a student in such platform.
Also 17 euros is a bit pricey for a group lesson... Not many possibilities to practice listening skills, or additional skills which are not linked to specific lesson.

I signed up for Lingoda 18 months ago, after years of wanting to improve my French. I started with the regular Sprint and accepted the offer of more classes when I completed the Sprint, and I have been subscribed ever since, taking 2-4 classes a week. I like that the curriculum is pre-set and that I don't need to worry about what to study next because there are always more classes to take on interesting and relevant topics, while incorporating new vocab and grammar.
I enjoy meeting teachers and students from around the world, and the flexibility of booking classes at times that suit me.
I am happy and proud of the progress I've made. I would recommend Lingoda to anyone wanting to improve their language skills, especially speaking. I suggest reviewing the lesson ahead of time as recommended, as you'll get the most out of the lesson if you're prepared.
I've enjoyed this process so much that I am now also taking German classes.
BIG thanks to the staff, all the teachers, and the other students who make classes fun :)

What I like about Lingoda is the live classes. It is great to learn with students from all over the world. The teachers have been great, enthusiastic and helpful. I have tried other apps that boast AI, but nothing beats talking with real people and getting real time feedback from real teachers. The class materials for review and follow-up are also helpful. Compared to other language apps and programs I have tried, Lingoda wins hands down.

Learned a lot so far. Teachers are experienced competent professionals.
What I don’t love is the requirement of 72 hours to cancel a class because occasionally things come up. I think 48 hours is more than reasonable

I recently started using Lingoda, and so far my experience has been very positive. The teachers are very kind and patient, and the learning materials are quite useful. What I appreciate the most, though, is the flexibility in choosing the class times. Since I work full-time, having that level of flexibility makes a big difference for me.

There are many fantastic teachers on Lingoda, who are patient and engaging, and who know the material and are prepared with additional resources. Unfortunately there are a small minority who are unprepared, seem to be uninterested, or who take on classes unsuited to their timezone.
The level testing is overly optimistic - it tests an understanding of grammar, rather than your speaking or listening skills. After a few initial classes in level B1 I chose to drop down to A2 and was much happier and more confident at that level.
It also helps to find units on topics that interest me, although the course structure is very well laid out and easy to follow. Concepts, vocabulary, and grammar topics are usually repeated across a unit or two, which is useful for reinforcing what you've learned.
Classes do often need to be booked well in advance, but this generally isn't a problem for me as I'm not doing a sprint. My timezone does seem to limit the available teachers.
Overall I'm really enjoying my Lingoda classes and have definitely made progress on my language learning journey.

I really enjoyed doing the German C1 course. Challenging, motivating, fun! I particularly appreciate teachers who give you detailed feedback and advice on how you can improve. Thank you. 😊

Great language courses , nice teachers, flexible hours, useful content and good practice possibility on the App - I am glad I chose this school. Good progress for me - best is that you are forced to talk 👌

I wouldn't say great. It is ok. Some of the teachers are not not really teachers but people who happen to know German.
