Our nonprofit business also received a condescendingly-worded scam email through our website's contact form with a fake 'broken link' and the same text as other reviewers. I'm glad I did a quick google search before replying and just deleted the email-- this is a really shady marketing ploy. Hope no one actually falls for it.
Just received a spammy email from Linksniff telling me a link on my website was broken (it wasn't) and that 'Silly mistakes can ruin your site's credibility. I've used a tool called linkSniff.com in the past to keep mistakes off of my website.'
I wasted my time checking and emailing them to tell them they should be ashamed of themselves. I'm a counsellor, clients in crisis contact me through my website form and I initially thought it was a client. What a gross marketing strategy.
Also received a scam email as others have experienced, they doctor the links, normally with an additional full stop in the URL to cause it to break - therefore it looks like your link so causes concern. Please don't be fooled by crooks like this
Scam. Recieved an email saying our website has a broken link. The link doesn't exist. Dont fall for these people.
My client also received an email from a "customer" (obviously them) claiming a broken link (for a page that hasn't existed in years) and recommending their "services". Their checker is fake just so you can become concerned and then they can rip you off for their "services".
Trying to sell their awful services by lying saying that our website has broken links.
Don't trust them, it's purely a scam!
So I received this email. I can see why this company is getting so many bad reviews. Not only they send this message, with the wrong link, to promote this business, but also, they marked my email as spam, when they are SPAM.

Also received an email from a "concerned customer" from a false address claiming a broken link for a page that hasn't existed in years. Nice try, spammer, but not that nice.
