I was supposed to receive a free item

I was supposed to receive a free item, but it was not included in my shipment. I paid more to get the free item. This company is nothing but problems and has the worst customer service. I wish my favorite designers would give up on them and go somewhere else. I'm sick of dealing with this awful company.

Cute baby blanket

Blanket pattern is easy, though I have not made stars yet. The kit came with plenty of yarn to make 12 rows instead of 10 in each color.
Yarn in the kit is called Basic Stitch. It is heavier than I expected or wanted, but soft. If I make this blanket again I will use a softer and lighter yarn.

Some good yarns, but store leaves a lot to be desired

Orders take a long time to ship. Lots of people report receiving other people's orders. Their rewards program is basically useless; points coupons can't be used with ANY other promotions, despite the site saying they don't work only with other coupon codes or specific promotions. If you cancel or return an order where you used points, you lose any you earned (fair) but don't get the ones you spent back (not so fair). Their customer service is slow and often not helpful. If you want their yarns, maybe get them from another shop.

Prettiest green yarn

I see allot of complaints about ordering from them, but I have been ordering from them consistently for a while now and I haven't had any issue, except one delay when they probably had a bunch of orders from a mega sale. Otherwise never had an issue.
Their wool ease worsted yarn has the prettiest green of any wool blend, the forest green heather is phenomenal. I love the will ease family of yarn it is really nice, soft, and knits up well. Plus they are always having sales so you can get it for a really good price

This is a very difficult company to do…

This is a very difficult company to do business with. Antiquated process mean you can’t cancel an order, but itwill not be shipped for weeks after your purchase. It’s nearly impossible to return anything. Buy elsewhere. It’s maddening to try to work with them.

Terribly unimpressed

Terribly unimpressed. I receive at least one marketing email a day - yet they cannot fulfill their orders. I place a large order last week. When I tried to contact them to find out when it would ship I couldn’t get through. Then I got an email that orders are delayed. I wanted to cancel as I won’t get it - but they said it was already “processed” - Processed? Then where is my shipping information? I asked them to expedite my shipping and they said they are unable to ship anything but USPS economy? So, I am several hundred dollars out as they charged me, they cannot cancel an order they haven’t shipped and it’s going to be another 2-3 weeks before I see any product. NOT IMPRESSED AT ALL

Horrible shopping experience

Well the yarn is pretty but one of the skeins has knots so IYKYK, they took about 2 weeks just to send the product and the shipping wasn’t free, I paid for it, I placed my order May 30 and my yarn arrived around Jun 18. I’m now extremely late on a project that was supposed to be done a few weeks ago. So I would not recommend the shopping experience to anyone. And to add, the knots on the yarn were the cherry on top. A no no for me. And I can’t put the one star review this is weird the page just doesn’t allow me and it resets to 2 stars. But I give them one.

Lion Brand has been my "go to" for…

Lion Brand has been my "go to" for years. I especially like the many colors to choose from and all have been true to ads. Also, the variety of types of yarns make it especially easy to choose different weights for different projects. Love them all but can't knit fast enough!

Lion Brand Customer Service

I had an issue and Lion Brand Yarn not only resolved it, but did so immediately, totally and to my complete satisfaction. This is exactly why I shop with Lion Brand. For a small customer to clearly have such a huge company take customer service so seriously should tell anyone this is an excellent place for any purchases. This care meant a great deal to me and should to everyone!

Poor customer service

On the 12th of April, I placed my first order with you. I paid for economy shipping, which was advertise as taking 3-9 business days.

I am not very happy with the service I received.

First, according to the emails and tracking reports that I have, it took Lion Brand 3 business days to pack my order. For a single skein of yarn, that seems excessive. I finally got a tracking report that said that USPS had received notification that a shipping label had been created. Then, according to the tracking information, USPS didn't receive that package for another several days.

That also seems excessive. I realize that some of that delay could be on the part of USPS. Regardless who was at fault, that is inexcusable. If it is fully or partially the fault of USPS, Lion Brand should find another shipper. (BTW, I suspect the fault is Lion Brand's, because I buy from several companies which use USPS, and I've never seen that sort of delay.)

My order finally arrived on the tenth business day, one day after the advertised delivery window.

I will likely order one more time from you. But, if I encounter the same disregard for good customer service, it will be the last time.

Lost pattern

I ordered a kit for th Brick Streetthroe but unfortunately I have been unable to find the downloadable pattern. I cannot find any way of requesting another pattern. Poor customer service service.

Not impressed with the package, it took 10 days…

I am not impressed that it took 10 days to receive my order. I had no updates on when it was going to be delivered. When it came the box was ripped on the sides and not taped at one end. When I opened the box I was surprised to see there was no internal packaging to protect the yarn which cost me a lot of money. So, the needles could have fallen out or someone could have put their hands in to take the yarn out which I think someone tried as the box was bulging wide at the seam when it came. The patterns at least downloaded as for the last order it did not and I had to email a couple of times to get it. I am a beginner so really do not want the fuss. Perhaps I will get the wool somewhere that can deliver sooner and package with more care. Also, some if us are complete beginners, do not change tutorial videos that do not follow the pattern because you decide to try something new!

i couldnot access the 'free' pattern -- something in the site was 'wonky' when they finally sent me one, i had already ordered the yarn, find it a bit too un giving... hard to manage, but the company finally did send me the pattern and i believe fixed the site

POOR Customer Service

Ordered a kit, changing a color to "Iris" described as "dusty purple." The yarn color Iris does not even imply purple - it's a pure grey. . . . . . Would think if called Iris and described as dusty purple it would have some purple hue in it - but no. I asked for a refund to ship the kit back since the color was NOT as described at all - e-mailed "Claire" who refused, and when asked to reconsider, never responded at all. By the way, try to find the phone number on their web site - it is hidden only to be found when jumping through numerous hoops - it is 877-412-9772. TERRIBLE customer service - last order to Lion Brand - will stick with Amazon, Walmart and others if I need Lion yarn. Buyer beware of the web Lion Brand yarn orders. . . . .

Very poor ability to download the…

Very poor ability to download the pattern. Was not told ahead of time it was a down load! The size of the words was not adjustable. For someone with poor visibility it is awful. Very poor of the co to not tell the buyers it is a download! I wouldn’t have bought it if it stated only for download.

First of all

First of all, I have been making prayer shawls using 2 skeins of Homespun for the past 20 years. I was so disappointed that you have changed the yarn that used to be so soft and now is hard and shiny and slick.
But I will maybe continue to order this because of the striping.
Also so really disappointed that the 4 skeins that I ordered (2 of each) did not have matching lot #s.
