LA is a scam when it comes to shipping…

LA is a scam when it comes to shipping cost .Stay far away from there quotes as possible. They are trying to double dip and make 5 times more off the shipping then if you went through an auction houses shipping company.

It was great dealing with LiveAuctioneers. The whole auction experience was a pleasure. From the bidding to the payment to the shipping and handling, it was all very easy. I'd gladly do it again in a second. I would also gladly recommend LiveAuctioneers to my family and friends. Actually I have recommended it to my family and friends. I like the ease of bidding on items but shipping needs improvement

I like the ease of bidding on items. The shipping needs much improvement. My antique doll was not wrapped properly and arrived with a broken foot. When I emailed live Auctioneers they wanted photos of proof which I had already sent Frashers. I did receive a partial refund, however to have an antique damaged because of poor packing is really disappointing

POOR SERVICE

In addition to the BUYER'S PREMIUM there is a PROCESSING FEE :

Won Items $100.00
Buyer's Premium $25.00
Processing fee $5.57
Sales Tax $8.65
Total $139.22
But I knew this up front.
What I expected with the 25% Buyer's Premium and Processing Fee is SERVICE.
Service in today's world is more important than the sale. I could get die cast cars anywhere but I expected service from LiveAuctioneers. They seem only to be the website "middleman" for auctions and wash their hands of any other responsibility. The auctions are actually from other auction houses.
I won this a\auction 1/8 and still awaiting shipment. I contacted LiveAuctioneers and the 2nd Auction House with no response. I paid additional shipping fees of $42. Therefore this 100. auction cost $181 and as of 2-22-26 no cars.

Easy platform to use for online auctions

I appreciate that LiveAuctioneers gives me a heads-up when items that match my saved list of interests come up. It’s an easy platform to navigate. I can check a range of pending auctions across the globe, and can monitor both my “watched” items and my current bids. Also I can check my past watched items and bids.
I have contacted LiveAuctioneers a couple of times over the last couple of years, and they have always responded promptly and helpfully.

TOTAL SCAM, LOST $10K

Purchased over $10k in jewelry, which included their 30% commission, turned out to be a total SCAM! Liveauctioneers refused to do anything to assist. They state their only function is to act as a platform for businesses to list items and hold no responsibility to vet any vendors. After numerous compliant they stated the suspended the vendor. Since no vetting is done the vendor will just set up as a new name!

Shipping costs and time of receiving…

Shipping costs and time of receiving purchased items is high and slow when using one of Live Auctioneers outside contractors. If the auction does their own shipping, service is faster and cost is less. Quite often, I will look for the same auction on other platforms due to shipping costs. The high cost is causing me to now lower my bids to cover the increased expense.
