There is nothing available in smaller sizes - when you browse the site as a non member it shows every size and then once you sign up the actual availability is shown and there are about 12 items on the entire site in a 6 or 8 and none that I actually wanted to rent, a total waste of time. A lot of times only go as low as an 8 too. I contacted them to complain and was told stock refreshes every 30 minutes, I checked back for days multiple times and nothing ever changes, nothing is ever in stock. Total rip off.

Inflexible subscription service. Some nice clothes and customer service are quick and helpful. Postage was relatively quick and the returns service really user friendly. But you have to pay the subscription monthly, there is no option to cancel or pause for a month if you go away for example. Other subscription services offer this. Due to this I cancelled my subscription as they charged me £79 for a month when I emailed and said I would be out of the UK for a month. Some of the clothes sent are ridiculously priced for the quality, but they arrived clean and ready to wear. I was sent a dress that retailed for over £400 and the zip ruffled and wouldn’t stay flat. Not worth the money overall.

I joined to be able to wear a very expensive suit for an interview (which could not be bought in my actual size at the time too), and it went very well (the interview).

It is a very good service for people needing a nice item for one occasion. I might buy the suit at a later date, but having worn it I now know the pros plus cons (bit uncomfortable and matching only the matching bottoms well), versus when it first arrived when I just loved it.

You get to try items to know whether you really want them (and know if you will appreciate them, because they can be very expensive too - however, there are big reductions on styles if they are not new styles [otherwise it is about 20% off, which is considerable as they would not otherwise be in the sale, and quite big reductions for older styles eg around 60% and they may not otherwise be able to be bought in your size in the sale (which was my experience - size 14 - so the opposite to the other reviews)]).

You can see, can be a great option then : ) you get to appreciate the lk bennett clothes, which are very nice.

In a month I borrowed 7 items: one suit; one blouse, that I liked, and was not otherwise obtainable (bought at best sale price ie 2/3rds off), and tried on pair of trousers, which were too long, and also not ideal for myself, although nice, one nice jacket worn three times, and a top (worn twice - but I liked it a lot, suits me and saw it was good work-wear too so will prob buy sometime), plus one smart shirt for work that I'm about to try and expect I will like (it is very special/nice), though expensive too, but offered at 20% off. (I also had wanted a suit top, but it had not been available, and so I ended up buying it 2/3rds off new in Secret Sales although it just arrived, and I'm not actually sure about it : ) but it was good to consider it, and then had the opportunity for a new one at a good price).

I may not continue the subscription however, because I do not like dry cleaning fluids usually for myself, or the workers (because they increase cancer risk for the workers I have read/seen research) so hope that Bennett may swap to a Green dry cleaning service that uses clay / silica if possible :)

I had a free trial but cancelled my membership after that ended as I didn't feel it justified the price. The items (mostly) are gorgeous and had lots of compliments when wearing them and since it was free I was more than happy. However there are actually very few items to choose from. Half the items on there are out of seasons like very nice summer dresses but no good to me in freezing temperatures, then once you do choose the item, you are faced with limited sizes and more often than not your size isn't actually available. There is also the issue of turn around times. It takes about a week to send back and receive a new item so actually in a month you don't try that many styles although I did have a week where they sent it before they got it back so maybe it gets better the longer you have the membership. However for an additional fee they have a dart service where they send stuff to you straight away as soon as you mark your items as being returned. I thought that was a bit cheeky, I would expected that sort of service just included in the membership. Now for the discount. I was very excited about this and thought this would be like almost an exclusive sale. Well turns out that items on discount were actually cheaper on the website than on this service, I ended up purchasing one dress because it did fit me well. It was in the sale and alas didn't have my size so I just paid more and kept the one I was sent. Does feel a bit of a rip off to pay so much for a dress that is used when you could of got one new for same or even less. I think I will probably try this service again in the future in a hope they ironed out some of these issues. Concept is really good but not quite right.

I agree with all the other reviews; limited sizes and don't bank on getting the items you actually want. I had a couple of winter coats in my selection that never made it to me during the winter, despite me flagging them as priority items. Where I feel disappointed, and has ultimately meant I canceled my subscription is the re-sale option. I finally received an item I really liked and whilst the garment is out with you, customers have the opportunity to purchase the pre-worn item at a "discount." In my case the garment was offered for a price more expensive than it was to buy new on their website!? When I queried this with customer service they told me that on this occasion they would price match the website. Still to me didn't seem like a good deal to buy a pre-worn garment for the same price as a brand new one. The customer service team pointed out it was a good deal as at least I wouldn't have to pay the delivery charge! I find it pretty cheeky to try and sell you a pre-worn item for more than the retail price! The whole experience of trying to reason with customer service over this has made me throw in the towel and close my account. All in all I don't feel this service is worth the price tag, shame as it could have been good, but I would recommend you explore other rental options!

I am absolutely in love with LK Borrowed!! I'm in my second month of subscription and have enjoyed wearing a variety of beautiful clothing. My preference is to wear things once and then move on to my next box. I do not need to worry about wear and tear or cleaning the item. LKB send out the next box at the same time as I return the old one so there is usually only a couple of days when I do not have items at home. I am a size 8/10 and I find the range is sufficient with new pieces added every week. I like that it encourages me to try styles, colours etc that I might not if I was buying. There are clothes for all seasons and I keep out-of-season items that I like on hold in my virtual wardrobe. You can prioritise items that you would like sent next and I have found LKB to be really good at sending priority items.
I have only had once incident of an item not quite up to scratch clean-wise but customer service were amazing at responding to this and crediting my account.
My only criticism if I had to give one is that, should I decide I wanted to keep and purchase an item that I have borrowed, the purchase price is ridiculous considering that I would be purchasing a second-hand item worn by several individuals. It's barely any less than buying the item new. However, this is not a problem for me as I enjoy the rental concept and am not looking to buy. Indeed, this subscription is significantly saving me on buying new clothes, which is better for my bank account and the environment.

Joined because the dress I had considered buying was advertised via this service, when I signed up it wasn't there - in fact the choice seems limited to a small number of dresses, most of which looked to be out of season and were probably heavily reduced in the last sale. Misleading. I cancelled immediately.

Don’t bother absolute waste of time doesn’t let you choose what you get sent, you have to add 6 items to your wardrobe and then they choose 2 for you, struggled to add 6 that I liked in my size. Lots of options out of season but who wants ro wear a winter wardrobe in summer!!
Asked could I cancel 30 mins after joining but advised no I had paid for the month so might as well use it. Reluctantly added clothes I didn’t really like but did give you the option to prioritise items you preferred to be sent however these were ignored, clothes were sent out quickly tried on and sent straight back the same day unworn. Have emailed them to advise not to bother sending any more clothes out and to just cancel my subscription now out of pocket by £59 just to try some clothes on. Do not bother using if you are a size 10/12 nothing will be in stock!! Avoid!
